Wife and I went there on our 33 rd anniversary, clam chowder was very good as always, service was decent not over great as waitress didnt know prices and forgot we needed drinks she seemed overwelmed. Then came our dinners both or us ordered calamari dinners and the French fries were good but the fish was aweful, wife ate one piece it was pure grease. We were sick all that night from all the grease . Did we complain we mentioned it to waitress but she didnt speak much English so she smiled and cleaned our table off handing us bill for full amount.. not wanting to cause seen and being it was our anniversary we paid bill and I gave her20% tip being that waitress wasnt all bad and she didnt cock food. But that use doesnt to be my wife and I go to place at least once a week but now we dont know if we will return.

We have been coming here for well over 25 years. We usually get up to Kittery twice a year. Over the last 2 years, the quantity has definitely shrunk, and today, we are here, and the quality has finally taken course with the quantity. The prices have become ridiculous in comparison to the value. It is LITERALLY cheaper to order a whole Strip Steak Dinner ($17.25) AND a Single Lobster Dinner ($20.95), than to order the Strip Steak Dinner and ADD a side lobster (the Surf&Turf Dinner NOT on the menu, for $42.95). We will NOT be returning. Service was above average, thus the reason for 2 stars. The waitstaff remains being very good, but the ambiance is mediocre, and the restaurant smells, literally, of "lack of long term care." VERY DISAPPOINTING

Ive been going to the Weathervane Restaurant since they first opened in South Portland Me about 30 years ago. I move out of Maine 22 years ago, but still visit every couple of years. This year I met my sister in Kittery for dinner at the Weahtervane. What a joke. One of their specials was the Bullet Lobster Duo. I asked the waiter what Bullet Lobster Duo meant. He said it was two lobsters. Sounded good for the price, although still didnt understand the name. I immediately understood when they brought the lobsters. They were two lobsters with the claws removed. Basically I got two lobster tails (not a good deal). The waiter didnt care, and neither did anyone else that worked there. It will be my last visit to the Weathervane at any location.

Normally I am a fan of the Wearthervane. I lived near one years ago and the food was good, the portions humongous and the prices reasonable, heading to the low side. We went to the Lottery location yesterday, and being a rainy day in vacation country, the outlets were loaded, and the Wearthervane being busy. This review should be viewed in this context. Not the best experience weve ever had at a Weathervane. They forgot to give my son a drink, service was slow, my wife found a metal twist tie in her chicken Caesar wrap, and my son found not 1 but 2 pieces of long red hair in his food (his hair is short and dark). To the managers credit, she comped my wifes sandwich and offered to replace with whatever she wanted for free.

Hostes was nice, very young waiter showed quickly after we were sat, but went sideways after that. Slow and confused service once seated in a sticky chair, young summer help waiter was looking out to lunch mentally and unable to bring everything we ordered. Then tell us we never ordered it. $36 lazyman lobster was served in tempid watery broth with zero sides and no butter to dip in... seriously? Only reason for two stars, my wife liked her chicken and hostes was putting in the effort. Need to lose or better train the young summer greenhorns and add some sides to lobster entre, clean your chairs.

Ate at the bar. Bartender/Waitress was great. Im the DD, so she nicely kept my water glass full. She was on top of the 3 others in our party, when the beers got low, she was there to ask if my friends would like another. The frosty tall mugs were also a hit with them. The Fish and Chips was the best. The Calamari and Potato skin appetizers were both excellent. If you are looking for good food, reasonable prices, and attentive service, this is the place to go. If you are looking for a fancy meal with table cloth and linen napkins, it might not be the place for you.

Not really impressed. It wasnt horrible, but certainly not happy. The Cons: Clam chowder was out of a bag. How do I know? Because its the exact same chowder that Chilis serves. The scallops are the tiny ones, with no taste at all. Nothing seemed fresh (I did get a fried platter, but my companion got the almond crusted fish) The pros: Clam chowder was delicious ( I do like Chilis chowder!) The fried haddock was very tasty. We should have gone to Bobs Clam Hut from what Im hearing. A girl at one of the outlets said its all going to be the same.

My family and I travelled up to Kittery and we decided to try this restaurant. The staff was just ok, and they messed up our order. The food was ok, it had its ups and downs (the fish kind of lacked flavor, but the blueberry cobbler was absolutely to die for!) Last summer, I applied for a job here, got it, and after one day of training I quit because the woman in charge of training us was so incredibly rude and quite scary...no wonder the waitstaff looked less than thrilled with their jobs! Should have taken the hint the first visit.

This review is for the bar. We came for dinner and the rude service started from the get go when inquiring about the draft list. We sat with menus in front of us for nearly a half hour without any attempt to take our order. But the final snub was when the bartender called in an order for her own take out dinner. I hope she liked her steak and cheese because we dined elsewhere and wouldnt consider returning . 1 star is too generous for this experience.

This is a family friendly seafood restaurant. the lobster version of their bloody mary is not worth the extra $3. if you really need a piece of seafood in your bloody mary go with the shrimp version.I had my second lobster roll of the season here. which is more than I usually eat in any year. the service is fast and friendly. the food is better than should be expected. and this restaurant is conveniently located to the outlet malls.

Excellent food, excellent service! I have been to the Weathervane Seafood many times. The food is always delicious and nutritious, the staff are always excellent and accommodating. I have no complaints. This is by far my favorite place to eat while in Kittery. Please keep up the good work and I hope this place is around forever. I hope everyone in Philadelphia gives Weathervane Seafood Restaurant a try!
