I had the fried catfish dinner with red-beans and rice. french fries and the cajun potato salad, everything was very good the fish was fried nice and golden not over cooked the red-beans were good a little bland but still good, potato salad only low point but i am kind of a potato salad snob so i cant hold that against them to each there own on mayonnaise based salads. in house tartar is also a must try. Owner is a super nice guy always wants to meet the new customers.

After picking up an order from here Im confused as to why the ratings are so high! The shrimp breading was too thick and lacking seasoning/flavor. The catfish had the same thick breading and the Gumbo was sub par. Apple crumble pie was not good either. Dont think these are issues of a bad day, seems like the norm. I wont be back to find out.......

My favorite seafood spot in the whole Chicago area, I dont know how they do it, but everything I tried was a 10 out of 10. U always see people eating in the car cause its so good nobody can wait til they get home.

This is my favorite place to get shrimp from. The shrimp are huge, fresh and reasonable price. It takes me about forty minutes to get there but the drive is well worth it.

Friendly service, fish is always fresh. Tasty, just plain excellent food. Cole slaw, potato salad delicious. Cake slice was a disappointment. Prices overall are decent.

The jumbo shrimp were more like large shrimp had way too much breading and not fresh. the lake perch was not any better I would not go back there again.

Delicious sea food gumbo, the alligator was great and the fried mushrooms, superb. The breading didnt leave a salty after taste. Cant wait to go again.

Ordered shrimp and calamari..there was black hair fried into a piece of the calamari. Also the consistency of the calamari has changed for the worse.
