We stayed in Lockport to travel to Niagara Falls. We found One Eyed Jacks on Yelp and it had good ratings. The place looked nice and we went for a late lunch so it wasnt very crowded, but still full. Ive tried lots of barbeque and I like the smoked, southern style, but its hard to find BBQ I love. This place was great! I tried their bbq feast which had ribs, chicken, pulled pork, brisket, garlic bread, and I had baked beans and coleslaw. The ribs and pulled pork were a little salty, but the flavor on everything was great! Light smoke flavor, not too heavy, no sauce (I asked for it on the side, I prefer dry BBQ so I can taste the meat). The ribs were meaty, I only threw out the bones, I didnt have any fat or gristle to set aside from it. The rib meat fell off the bone. For BBQ competitions, they say it shouldnt fall off the bone. But, were not at a competition, and it made it easier to eat! Pulled pork was flavorful, not too fatty, again nothing to throw out from the pile of pork. Chicken was a thigh and leg, perfect flavor. The brisket was moist. Most places Ive had brisket it comes out very flavorful but dry, the one wasnt dry at all. Baked beans were tasty, thick, not too sugary. The coleslaw was mayonnaise based (not vinegar based), but slightly sweet, soft cabbage with a little crunch to it, and light sauce. Even the garlic bread was good, good bread, lightly buttered and garlicy, toasted nicely. Too often I find other places give chewy, oily garlic bread. I tried their house bbq sauces on the table and ordered a side of their bourbon bbq sauce. Wasnt crazy about any of them. I like sauces more like Bulls Eye brand, deep smoke flavor, or something more vinegary with a little spice to it. No problem for me though, since the bbq stood great on its own, I wouldnt have added sauce anyway, even if I did like the sauce. Service was great. Our waitress (forgot her name, short lady, server 0114 on our receipt) was great. Very attentive, got orders right, looked like she took care of all her tables well, they all looked happy with her, and she was friendly, pleasant and prompt. I live to far away to plan to go back, but Id highly recommend it to anyway in town. Worth the trip from Buffalo (about 25-30 minutes).

Ive been going here for years, the food is amazing and the plates are giant. Also I would recommend getting a bottle of the house BBQ sauce to bring home with you.. It can be used with so many different things, also the plain house sauce isnt too spicy which is rare to find, they also have a hot/spicy sauce too. Theyve been having delicious food and a super friendly staff for a long time, I would recommend going earlier or later tho bc they do get busy at dinner time. Also bc the plates are so big youll probably have leftovers, but the leftovers are great too.

Yesterday was my second visit and it wasnt disappointing. I dont understand peoples comments on the prices or the selections. Its BBQ plain and simple, how many choices do you want?? As far as prices, come out to Rochester where I live and go to Sticky Lips. It would cost you an average of 5 dollars more a meal and it wouldnt be as good as One Eyed Jacks. And the portion sizes are comparable. The only thing I wished i could have had was a bottle of the bourbon sauce, which Im sure would have been provided to me had I asked, but I didnt so my own fault.

coworkers raved about this place so we went there for lunch one day. there is better bbq in the area. the price is right and very affordable. the pulled pork was dry and the sauce was just okay. the staff is friendly but there is not enough of them, so you are constantly waiting. and because the place is understaffed and are servicing so many tables that they forget what you asked for constantly so it takes even longer to get something.

The pig pile plate consisting of fries, beans, pulled pork, and coleslaw is really really delicious and huge. I have not tried the ribs here, but I would really like to. The brisket and pulled pork on their own are both fine, but I think you can find better examples in the western New York. If you are up in Lockport and hungry for some bbq but dont want to drive down to Buffalo or Cheektowaga, this is a fine choice.

The waitresses are awesome, the drinks are awesome, the food is great. One of the better places in the area. The BBQ brisket and ribs are friggin awesome, the potato salad is delicious and the baked beans have pulled pork in them, which is just gosh darn awesome. This place makes you wanna drink a cold one while thinking about the places in the world you could be wranglin a horse, while eating BBQ heaven.

No organization around the bar area. Crowded with who is placing a take-out order, who is waiting for a take-out order and who is paying their bill while we tried to find the seating hostess. Server never said her name nor did she ever smile. Made us feel as if we were putting her out. My husband liked the food and finished mine. Sauces were so-so, not enough variety. We wont go back.

By far our favorite bbq place. We will drive from anywhere we live (right now williamsville) for their food. The wings are incredible and like the ribs just fall off the bone. Husband loves the pigkin and i enjoy pulled pork. Never really had something we dont like. Service is always good. We are lifetime customers for sure!

great pulled pork but if you bulk order take out make sure to ask for double the BBQ sauce. Twice they havent given me enough bbq sauce to mix with the pulled pork. Had to add in store bought BBQ sauce to give it proper coverage which totally sucked.

Year around same service and excellent quality food. Eaten there during a blizzard in January and summer Sunday nite; the difference was more people eating with us in the summer with no change in quality of food or service.
