What a rare find in Jackson Heights! There arent that many Thai places in this part of JH, but this one will stay around for a long time, we think. The service is fast and friendly. The owner/manager even came and had a chat with us after dinner, very nice lady. We came with a group of 10, so we had sooooo many things on the menu. Lets see what we can remember: - Tao Hoo Tord - Calamari - Tod Mun Goong - Guay Tiew Pad Sei Eiw Noodle - Yum Sam Gluer Grob Salad - Yum Sam Gluer Grob Salad And several more. All the food was tasty and hot, very enjoyable. There wasnt much for us to complain about. The price is also reasonable. Only complaint is the parking in this area. Come and enjoy good food, good times.

The decor looks nice the taste good is also good. But had the worst experience ever. Order the fried rice With shrimp for my kids. Found a huge bug in the fried rice. So asked the server to change it. He did change the food. He didnt apologize even once. Charged the full amount for the dish and also charged service fee of 18%. At the end when we asked him about the bug in the food he said it was just a bug from the vegetable. As if it wasnt a big deal. And he got really mad at us instead. Yuk for the disgusting good which scared the kids from eating. So those who are eating there please keep your eyes on the food, hopefully you guys dont get the same experience as me. Will never go back. Expected an apology at least!

This terrific Thai restaurant isnt a foodie destination like Sripraphai. Instead, its just a great place to eat and hang out. The food is excellent, the decor is nice, and the owner literally could not be more welcoming. Everything tastes totally homemade, unlike some of those pad thais where you swear somebody just squeezed a box of generic Thai sauce on some noodles. Theres a nod to health, with the non-greasiest fried foods Ive ever had. Add in low prices (the $7.50 lunch special is in Guinness Record territory) and the proximity to the Jackson Heights/Roosevelt Avenue subway stop and youve got a gem that deserves a place on your Go To list.

I lived in Thailand for a few years and am picky about my Thai food. Kitchen 79 has very very good food ( dee mak ma)! The ambiance is cool, urban and I cannot say enough about the staff who are all so welcoming, friendly and efficientall lead by Khun Rudee, the manager who is so amazing. Love this place. I asked if they could make a special noodle dish from Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand ( Khao Soi) and a week later it appeared ....they will tweak the dishes to your level of spiciness and taste....a truly great place. Cool. Delicious. Friendly. Affordable. Nearby.....is there anything else you could want?

the highest rated thai place in NYC on yelp ... for a very good reason. the food is excellent and the menu is really unique - guarantee you will see thai dishes youve never had before. Dont miss the fried fish with papaya salad, the southern-style wild boar curry, and the green curry with noodles

Great lunch special deal. Very authentic. Much cleaner than similar offerings in the area. Staff is friendly and accommodating. I frequent both alone and with people and always feel comfortable. They seem to have a full bar and good beer selection as well though I rarely buy drinks there.

I ordered soup today and I found a hair in it, of course, said that he would do again but they gave me the same just pulled out of the hear of her. Very not recommended. the soup was very spicy without any other flavor, I ordered the tofu instead of chicken and I got bamboo.
