Im very disappointed that I have to write this review for Chutney Masala, a place that I loved so much. I picked up an order of vegetable biryani, bindi, garlic naan and 2 mango lassis for a total of 52.00 and was so excited to dig in because this was one of my favorite Indian restaurants. To my suprise the food was terrible!!!!! It lacked flavor and was very very dry which is how I remember this food to be. The garlic naan (which is always a favorite) tasted like burned garlic instead of its usual soft and hearty treat. The only portion of my dinner that I enjoyed was the mango lassi. Everything else was so undesirable. Needless to say I will never order food from Chutney Masala again. Im not sure what changed but I really hope things go back to the way it was 8 months ago. The price I paid for the food was absolutely not worth it and I wish that I can get my money back!!! If this is your first time having Indian food I do not recommend this restaurant at all. It will definitely leave a bad taste in your mouth (literally).

We were disappointed again with the food, which lacked zest and was overcooked. The murgh tikka was very obviously made with old and overcooked tandori chicken, which was dry even drowned in the bland sauce. The lamb with a creamy mint cilantro sauce was also nondescript, tasting neither of mint nor cilantro. The highlights of a completely overpriced and forgettable meal were the naan and the sauces that accompanied otherwise mediocre samosas and pakora. Its not Dawat. Its not Tamarind. Its not Balduccis. And thats okay, we just wish they would try a little harder and price accordingly. If youre craving Indian food and live nearby, you might give in like we do. But if youre making a trek of any distance, dont bother.

We had Fathers Day Brunch here and I wish we had gone elsewhere. As we walked in the host was on the phone and blocking the doorway. The buffet was not ready for our noon reservation and when they told us it was ready the food wasnt hot. The daal had a congealed layer on it from sitting out for who knows how long. The fish had the texture of rubber. The wait staff never asked us if we wanted drinks or needed anything. It was a very dismal experience. We went here on Mothers Day - the service was equally poor, but at least that day the food was delicious. We felt like we were eating leftover food from yesterdays buffet. Im not sure Id go the Chutney Masala again after today.

Great location was exasctly what we were looking for, peaceful outside 2 top table with a nice view of the water and able to tie the dog while on a date. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good, not quite great, and made / presented a bit different then used to for Indian food but overall a delightful experience have marked this on my map to come back more often. I also recommended walking down to the river after eating.

The food here is not bad but it lacks in timeliness of serving. The waiters themselves are attentive and want to make sure everything is to your liking. We even ordered a glass of wine and they changed it for a new one as we did not like it. But the actual wait time for your food is horrible. We thought it might have been the Nan bread but we order simple dishes. The cook time needs to be improved drastically.

Yesterday I went to this place with the Restaurant coupon i got. And I regretted it visiting this place. The chef obviously doesnt know what he is cooking. The food is nothing Indian like. A tip to the chef: Mixing Chicken with Rice doesnt make it Hyderabad Dum Biryani. None of the dishes were good. They were either too salty or tasteless.

Ehh.........its okay. I mean the prices are pretty high in a matter that not all food is the best but, I liked the Indian food. One of my biggest problem there was that last time when i went there they didnt have/serve the dessert i was looking for...........it was kulfi falooda :( :(

The space and view are glorious. We came with one elderly guest, and she could not go up the stairs for the best view, but we sat where we could see the water. We thought it was overpriced; my tandoori chicken was $17.00 for 1/4 chicken, and no vegetables.

My wife and I went to Chutney Masala for Valentines Day and we were very impressed. The entire experience was excellent, and the Valentines Day prix-fixe menu was superb! Hands down, this is the best Indian food in the New York metro area.

the food was very tasty and nicely prepared. the somosas were excellent as was the chicken tikka. one chicken dish (with tomatoe and cream sauce)was dissappointing, tasted like campbells cream of tomatoe soup with a little spice.

I really tried to like this restaurant...the owner Is nice but the food is not like any Indian food Ive had before. To each its own, brought a friend when I try to give it another shot. She sent her dish back right away

Amazing food! If you want the rare mix of value for money and fine dining, Chutney Masala is the place for you! My personal favorites are the Shrimp curry, the lamb chops, the goat biryaani and the mango lassi.

i always think indian food at restaurants is too expensive, and this is no exception. however, it provides added value with the fantastic location, fresh ingredients and imaginative cocktails.

Good Indian food a bit outside the usual. But the manager was a complete idiot the day we went, berating an employee in the middle of the dining room for a minor offence.

This restaurant was a delight! Beautiful interior, golden and sunny, almost spa-like. The food was delicious and nicely presented. We would definitely go back!

Worst food.. Roti was as thick as pizza crust is.. Paneer was hard , specifically mentioned paneer curry to be spicy but it was sweet. Ckn 65 was OK. Wasted 50$ !

Great Indian food...One of my favorites...We were told to hurry up and order though when we sat down, but other than that, everything was great.

High quality North Indian food in a very nice comfortable space. Some not-every-place dishes too. Only downside was a noisy group at the bar.

Good food, however the atmosphere can get noisy at times. Dont like that they place the utensils on the table without it being wrapped.

Sadly, they moved out of the really cool old building, but the food here is delicious. Best Indian in Westchester.

The best chicken tikka masala Ive had anywhere (though they give it a slightly different name). Wonderful place!
