I have been going here for years. Alex, the owner, has become a good friend over the years. Their sushi is first rate as are the shrimp shumai. I also like the usual dishes such as General Tsos chicken and double delight (shrimp and chicken), orange beef, shrimp in garlic sauce or black bean sauce. I like spicy food. Alex told me that the chefs dont like to make food too spicy because most customers(Americans) really dont want want truly spicy food, just a touch of spice. Chefs dont want the food coming back. However, if he tells the chef the people ordering spicy are Indian, they will spice it up because they feel they can handle it. So if you like spicy you really have to have a conversation with the waiter or Alex to get it spicy. I also order jumbo shrimp fried rice which is not on the menu, its just regular shrimp fried rice on the menu. Had basil chicken that was a special the other night. Told Alex to make it spicy and not more than five minutes later it came out nice and spicy, but again not overly spicy. Had great veggies with the chicken, thought I would eat half and take the other half home, ended up cleaning the plate.

The beauty of this review is it is my opinion. I have lived close to Oriental Diner for a long time. I have never considered stopping in until recently, since I currently work near there. The service rendered to me is always exceptional. I have dined in once, ordered at the counter and picked up numerous times. I am working my way down the menu. I have enjoyed the sushi and some of the lunch specials. good temperature, not overly salty. Do not let the simple exterior fool you. Inside is friendly and warm. Prices are reasonable along with portions. I honestly like the way they package the food. The slim zip lock with utensils and condiments is a small but noticeable touch to me. I am one to leave positive and negative feedback, even when calling customer support. As I am enjoying lunch special #2, I decided I should comment on my experience with them thus far. I appreciate the food and service they provide(d) to me. p.s. I am a real person with no affiliation to them, and my office is behind the Apple Bees. Come check me if you want to grab some food :)

First off is it more rude that they asked for a tip or that you didnt give any tip? The only people who forget to tip are ones who tip cheap or sometimes "forget." I would have done the same thing. The orirental diner is a great place for any business man/woman to take a break and grab some food. Medium sized portions, low prices, and the value of the food is amazing. They have a lot to offer with great specials and for anybody who lives or works in the area should absolutely check it out!

The food is excellent. Theyve been around a long time but the quality of the food is undiminished. Our office orders from them at least twice a week for 3 years. We have an occasional problem that gets resolved fairly quickly. Its never about the quality of the food, its about a forgotten item every once in a while. To be fair, the place is dumpy, and somewhat out of date. You go there for the food, which outshines everything else.

Thieves!!!!!!!Stay away...Do not order over the Internet .My son was sick in WMC,I ordered food that they failed to deliver.They had my room # and cell#..I called to resolve the issue and they repeatedly hung up on me...Who does buisness like this????So they kept the food and charged me...First and last time with this restaurant .....BEWARE

I ate and paid the bill with my credit card. I forgot to add any tips when I signed the receipt. When I was at the door leaving, the manager actually called from behind and asked for tips. To make his demand more legitimate, he even mentioned that some other stores have service charge. I was shocked at their rudeness.

My fav place in westchester for any kind of asian food, nice place, the owner is nice and always remembers you. They have spinich wonton soup, must have it, get a large, its worth a trip!! I have been going here since they opened and love it more and more, no one else makes the wonton soup like they do!!

Usually speak to the gentleman when ordering who is very polite and friendly. Just spoke to a woman and she was the rudest person ever. It made me want to cancel my order and I will never order from there again.
