Im giving City Winery one more star than I really want to because I think the place has potential. If the staff could actually start to talk to customers who are waving them down even if they are not sitting in their assigned section I think this place could become a destination for music lovers. Seating is really specific for live shows. Like, bar stool are assigned using software that you can reserve through ahead of time. In speaking with the ticket salesperson when two of us walked in rather than buying ahead, he confessed the process was a nightmare and the software makers went out of business. I felt for him. The door man made made feel like I was going to get thrown into the back of a van if I didnt comply with his every wish at that moment (i.e. Go down there to buy your ticket, dont go out that door - go out THAT door to have a cigarette, are you just coming in or were you here before?). I cant explain it but everyone working there seemed to be utterly stressed out but were trying so hard not to show it. The night we were there we saw Jolie Holland (acoustic singer/songwriter) and the sound on stage was off. She pretty much stepped on the sound guy calling him out again and again. In the end her co-performer fixed the problem and the show went on. Group style seating (think Oktoberfest beer tables) and lots of room to spread out. I like the place a lot and would go back but hope they can work out the kinks.

I am always hesitant to go out to a Bar/ Restaurant as I dont drink any type of alcohol. A coworker recommend this place and I live in the community for almost 20 years so I decided to go. My experience in life leads me to know most alcohol drinkers while drinking lose their better judgement. I will say that the food here is above average and my liquor loving friend was not wrong. I wont be back though as I believe that the fact that my wife and I are not drinkers was the reason we where provided with less service than the other customers around us. I noticed bread baskets at the tables around us but we did not receive one. No one ever stopped by to give us water refills. The food we had was good and I expected to have dessert but decided that I would wait till the server would mention if we would like desert and coffee. Well I am still waiting to be asked. I will stick to restaurants and leave the bar/ food places to drinkers as I believe this place wants customers that will provide bigger profit margins via liquor sales.

One of the worse dining experiences I ever had! Waited over an hour for our food in a dining room with only 2 other tables. After complaining to the manager about the delay, we were served partially cooked, cold and tasteless food so we sent it back (we were probably forgotten after hearing this). The managers only excuse was that "the bar was busy". So I guess, if you dont want to be treated like a second class citizen seat at the bar and order some chicken wings. If you want to enjoy other local and wonderful eateries, there are plenty in the area. However, this isnt one of them.

good customer service however food was not the best . AVOID THE FISHERMAN burger . I vomited after eating from here. I definitely dont recommend eating that when visiting here. Be advised when coming to this place. the tomato slices were too large for my burger and way too much onion. the fish was definitely not fresh and the food came out to my table way too fast. An indication that this was frozen food or reheated food.

After eating at Palominos I have to say quite possibly one of the best dining experiences Ive had in a long time I cant think of the last time I remembered a waitress or Hostess name, Deena was absolutely amazing. The food was cooked perfect. Only issue we had was parking about a block away it was pretty cold out that night other than that perfect.

What can I say its got it all, great food, friendly & efficient service, always with a smile. If you have a good chef and everything else is top shelf......its a WINWIN-WIN.... You WILL ENJOY......BTW....you CAN get a Great (non dinner) meal even at 3;30 AM.....That alone makes Palominos a prime time stop in Nassau .County.....Two thumbs up !!!!

Arrived in NY late Tuesday night, hungry and ready for a drink. On a recommendation from my nephew, we came here. My husband loved his burger, I loved my chicken avocado wrap, and my sister loved her chicken avocado salad. Friendly chat with Bobbi and some good background music rounded out the night. Made for a good first night back in NY.

I come here with my friend Paul all the time. Mostly to take advantage of the Wednesday burger special that requires two beer purchases to apply. He drinks a minimum 8 beers for lunch so the other 4 of us can get specials without having to drink. The food is great here, try the boneless wings.
