Terrible experience tonight. Never returning. Would give it a ZERO star if doable! Appetizers for 4 took 25 minutes after ordering, and the entrees came (only after we asked 4 separate times, twice asking the head person) 53 minutes AFTER the appetizer plates were removed! 3 tables we know of arrived 10-15 minutes after us and ordered at east 15-20 minutes after we did and were served their entrees (after appetizers) well before our entrees arrived ... the arrived AFTER we gave the waiter our 2 credit cards to pay for our drinks and appetizer and told him and the head person we were leaving. Our cards were returned to us saying no charge for the 4 drinks and appetizers; which I suppose was the only reason I gave a ONE STAR rating instead of a ZERO rating. Was NOT the waiters fault; but the kitchen clearly cannot handle a Saturday night crowd...and our 7PM reservation was seated in a room where half the tables were filled for the first hour we were there. I suspect the kitchen was told to leapfrog other orders ahead of ours likely for diners who are known there... if that was not the case then it is a kitchen that badly needs training on how to handle orders. Net/net: a waisted night; although we went 1/5 mile away to an Italian restaurant that was very good...and with fast service. The noise level was almost unbearable too! I p[an to likely return AFTER it changes hands and the next version of a restaurant starts up at this location as have 3 others at the same location over the past 4-7 years!

Lugano is excellent! Ive been to this restaurant many times and its never once disappointed me. The decor and ambiance are top-notch, the staff is attentive and the food is delicious. Everything is plated well, reasonably portioned for the price and delivered to your table at a good pace. The charcuterie is excellent and the selection is impressive. The Truffle Sprouts are phenomenal and definitely a "must order." I cant recommend Lugano enough, whether youre looking for a great place to have a happy hour or youre looking for high quality Italian foods, this place never ceases to deliver.

This is the latest trend spot in Lower Fairfield County. It is woefully uneven. Ive had great meals here and dishes which I have had to turn back (chicken parm came tepid and almost cold). Young manager seems indifferent to any concerns. I hate that they have valet parking in the lot where previous restaurants simply let you park. Like lots of divorcee magnets, the place is way to loud to have a conversation. I give it a year before they succumb to the malaise which killed Palomino, Greenwich Tavern and Bistro Latino.

Pleasantly surprised by this unassuming place just minutes from the Hyatt in Greenwich, CT. With only one star on Google+ we werent sure what to expect. But we sat at the bar and had a wonderful evening. We gorged on the very reasonable Prix Fixe menu. Loved the Stracciatella, prosciutto, and the sirloin steak was cooked to perfection !! With a reasonably priced bottle of wine, who could ask for anything more.... They just opened in June... Go now

This is a wonderful transformation from the recent establishment. Tends to be a bit noisy due to the patrons chatting and sharing their small plates of deliciousness! Management should look into methods of reducing the cacophony while maintaining a lively atmosphere. It is clear the chef and staff are very good at preparing beautiful and delicious food. The wait for your order can be long during rush hour, but the wait is well rewarded!

We had a family Christmas dinner here and everything was fabulous. The service is friendly, efficient and professional. The chicken scarpiello is the best I have ever had. I dont even like brussels sprouts but theres were out of this world! Its nice to share small plates with people and have a taste of several different things. This place is a winner!

Ask for Rossana to be your server. She is lovely. Her shining personality accents her attention to detail wonderfully. Started with the mussels, calamari, and shrimp cocktail. I had the cornmeal crusted bronzini (fish) for entree. Everything was to my liking. Maybe its the cannoli talking.... but I think Ive found my new favorite restaurant.

Food was ok, but the noise was unbearable. It was so bad that we didnt even finish our meal. You know theres a problem when the waiter introduces himself and apologizes for having to yell. We were regulars at Bistro Latino, but will not be back to Lugano.

Great decor, wonderful people working here, food is ok, the Prix Fix is a great deal. The noise level, even with 30% occupancy at dinner was unbearable. If youre looking for a bar scene this is your place. If its dinner and conversation, go elsewhere !
