The service at this hotel this stay was unbelievable. From the front desk staff especially Charlie, to the waiters in the restaurant, bartenders in the pub, bell hops, parking attendants and the even the staff in the gift shop. Unfortunately we had a bad snowstorm on Saturday morning and the shuttle service had to be stopped for a few hours. The road conditions were very unsafe and we totally understood, but of course we were very disappointed as we had get to the train station. When we came home from a very long wet day in New York City we were pleasantly surprised in the evening with hot chocolate chip cookies and milk for the two rooms we occupied delivered by room service! The rooms were spacious and clean also. The food in the pub and the breakfast buffet were also very good. There is a very large mall right across the street and this hotel is very convenient to the Stamford train station. Definitely planning on staying again! Thanks again to Charlie who went out of his way to make my granddaughters vacation the best as she put it as he gave her a little stuffed animal named Stammy! Thanks again to you all for your amazing service!!

Horrible experience from beginning to end and I will not be staying here again. Upon arrival, the ipad in my room was broken. They put a lot of room features on the ipad, like ordering room service, which I wanted to do (no menu in the room). After calling 3 times, and waiting around for an hour for them to come fix it, they finally brought a new dock. That didnt charge it. I called yet again and they just transferred me to the restaurant so that I had to ask them to bring me a paper menu. The Ipad never worked during my stay, I gave up. For a $46 room service bill, they charged an additional $27 of gratuity, room delivery fee and an Admin fee. Wow. On top of that, they charged me for some additional cocktail on my final bill that I didnt have. The very young gentleman at the front desk treated my like I was nuisance for disputing this on top of the ipad issue. J House is a former Howard Johnson masquerading as a boutique hotel. They need to invest in serious staff training. Having kids (with attitude) run the place doesnt work.

I had an amazing experience at the J House this past evening. The room, staff, drinks, atmosphere, food, EVERYTHING was well past top of the line. Everyone there was a complete delight and I personally thank Anthony for his help with making the surprise and WOW FACTOR I was looking for a reality. I will definitely be back. Everyone on staff the days of 12/27-28 morning 2015 Thank you. To eveyone else I meet in between my back and forths with Anthony to see if any other hotel would compare and didnt, but let me back to see any room if available at any time Thank you. The bartender that evening ever drank you made was perfection. Cooks the food was devine and management the hospitality of you and your staff enchanting. Also thank you to even the technicians that where so sweet and quick. I have found a new get away right at home. A thousand times again THANK YOU!!!

J-House just blows you away! Deceptive and disguised as a souped up hotel, the amenities in the room are world class. From an iPad that controls all lighting and window curtains to mirrors that double as TVs. Add to that friendly service and a comfortable home like atmosphere and you have the perfect experience. There are lots of sofas everywhere in the lounge and the design is contemporary. The little touches are perfect and there is hardly anything I can complain about. The onsite Chocolate Lab store is also a great addition. Wish they had some sort of loyalty program to keep me coming back more often.

When J-House first opened thought the too chic blue lights outside would be an indication of pretentious glossy place you would find in south beach not greenwich ct, but I absolutely loved the Garden patio and bar. It wasnt too crowded wait staff and hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. The bartender took quite a while to get us drinks considering there was no crowd but once we did get them it was delicious. We sat and had amazing Sushi there which I did not expect the menu to have and was pleasantly surprised. Its a new favorite especially when nice out.

My husband and I decided to go to Jhouse for the Easter brunch. What a mistake that was! Food was mediocre and the service sucked. We waited for desert for 35 minutes and were eventually served as the wrong desert (it was pre fixed menu!). We waited for the drinks way too long. We even had to go to the front house to check out, because we couldnt wait any longer. Did I mentioned the restaurant was empty? Only 5 tables were seated. We were hoping for a nice Easter brunch and are very disappointed. We wont be visiting JHouse again.

The hotel was very nice. There were lots of cool amenities like a T.V.built into the mirror in the bathroom and the whole room is controlled with an iPad. The only issue was with check-in. We were there for a wedding and there was a shuttle bus leaving the hotel at 3. We arrived at 12:30 to leave us plenty of time, but they told is our room would not be ready until 2:30. They knew what time the buses were leaving and should have been more prepared for the guests arriving.

Terrible. Room was so tiny that I kept hitting my leg on the sharp corner of the bed. Bathroom was in a glass box that made me feel like I was using the toilet in bed. Electronics did not work, even after a tech came. Room service took over an hour and reportedly had lost the order when I called. No apology. Based on a 4-star expectation, giving it 2 stars is a gift.

Wow, what a great hotel. The rates were less than others in the area, but it was a fantastic place to stay. The food in the restaurant was not inexpensive, but it was very, very good. The rooms are full of lots of very cool high tech things that were fun and convenient. You have to try the electronic bidet in the bathroom! :-) Great stay, would highly recommend.

Really nice hotel. Pleasant staff and very new modern looking rooms with lots of cool gadgets and equipment. Fitness enthusiasts may be looking for something a bit more desirable in terms of a fitness room (a few cardio machines is all they have, I instead got day passes at the edge fitness down the street). Overall a great experience.

I really enjoyed eveything the J house had to offer. From the lovely heated pool to the toilet seats (also heated). The room in which I stayed was very nice, and the cleaning staff were in and out very quickly. The automated systems within the room were also a big plus, as well as the ipad. Overall, I was very happy with the J House.

The rooms are great - clean and comfortable and beautiful with high tech controls for lighting and climate. The food at the restaurant is also very good. However the check-in process was such a headache and the staff so unhelpful (or just not empowered by supervisors to accommodate) that I wont be staying here again.
