Had a wonderful opportunity to work with Priya and her amazing team on my Mothers Birthday party. My husband, mother and I came a month prior to the event to try the food and check out the decor. The minute we stepped inside, I knew that decor-wise Raasa was going to be perfect. We stayed for dinner... which was absolutely amazing! Flavors were perfect and the presentation was beautiful. We decided then and there we would go no where else. Priya, via phone calls and emails (I live far from the restaurant) planned the party for my mother in detail. I literally had no worries! She took care of everything and when I brought up concerns during the day, I found it had already been taken care of. Her chef has attention to detail I really appreciate..every dish that was served was thought out in detail. Even a simple potato pakora had special seasoning on it that turned it from a fried potato to something amazing. Highly recommend the chicken lazeez and tandoori platter. Tandoori cauliflower and salmon are my new favorites. I didnt order this for the party but for when we had a private dinner: Chili Shrimp...wow... Lamb Rogan...meat was extremely tender and flavorful. I am not Vegetarian but the foods I ordered for my guests would have made me content to never eat meat again. Everyone at the party had an amazing time with plenty of food and drink. The servers for the event were always smiling and took care of each person individually. I had about 30 guests for a party and feel like I didnt even lift a finger! My post does not nearly describe how wonderful I feel Raasa is as a restaurant and for their wonderful team. I highly recommend you experience Raasa yourself. Thank you Priya and your team , for making my Mothers birthday celebration a memorable one. My family are are already planning to come back for dinner!!

Avoid at all costs. Ive eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants in the area and this place has the most horrendous food at crazy prices. The cook, who I suspect is not a qualified professional, basically takes the easy way out and lards his dishes with lots of HEAVY CREAM to make the gravy seem thick & creamy but in doing so basically destroys the dish and turns it into a greasy nightmare. In one of the dishes the chicken was was hard as stone. It had undoubtedly been warmed up hurriedly in a microwave before being tossed into the pool of cream. To make matters even worse the total price for two dishes & pieces of bread was on the high side even for an Indian restaurant. I would recommend Ambadi in White Plains which I had not held in high esteem until I came across this terrible excuse for an Indian restaurant. But in comparison the value is just unbeatable. The food there is not spectacular nor is the menu so extensive but its always well cooked & the price comes under $30 for two dishes.

Raasa is not your typical Indian restaurant. They do not serve leftovers for a buffet or serve the typical Indian food with mediocre ingredients. More than anything, the reason you go back to a restaurant is because the food is great. The new management and chef Beck have not only committed to serving great food, but to keep it authentic and consistently great. After the new management and chef have taken over, I have been to Raasa no less than a dozen times and the quality and taste of the food is just as good as the time before. The menu has some wonderful new items that are not found on typical Indian menus, and the vegetarian options are always fantastic. If you have not been here in the last few months, please do not be discouraged by the previous owners. This is a new place, new owners who care and a new chef that knows what he is doing. By far, the best Indian restaurant in Westchester. Highly recommended.

Worst restaurant I have come across. How can someone go wrong with chana masala. The basic Indian dish. Next time we went the dosa we ordered from the lunch buffet was stale. We asked them to take it back and the staff said he will take it off from the bill, and when we got the bill, he had only reduced $1. He said we still ate appetizer (which was only a salad and soup) and they charged us $13 for that. Plus the owner throws so much attitude. She never smiles! Gives a very unwelcoming feeling.

Beyond horrible... New management?! Please, I wish I could try the food before this place was under new management. Price per portion is rediculous. I wasnt going to write this rating because everyone deserves a second chance but since they charged me for the bill its only fair that I leave them an honest review. P.S: Pacifically for the manager. I didnt want my tab payed for, hence why I wasnt gonna comment until you asked. But dont get upset if I did critize. Good luck with your business.

Went here after they changed ownership and the name. I was initially disappointed that they had no lunch buffet. However, the new owner told us that buffets typically used the lowest quality and leftover foods, assuring us of the quality of his menu. Begrudgingly I ordered a la carte and was surprised at the quality and taste. Probably the best Indian Ive had in recent memory. I grew up in Jackson Heights, queens, if that adds any validity to my opinion.

Bad Bad Bad. Thats all I can say. Went their for lunch on a Sunday. Ordered off the lunch menu and the dinner menu. The lunch menu mixed grill had four pieces of meat in which Salmon was dry. Came with daal that was like water. Also said it came with a desert. The desert was no even and indian desert - it was some low end coconut sorbet.

I had a great time at raasa the service was great and the food was amazing. My favorite dish had to be the paneer makhanwala, the way the sauce mixed with the rice and naan made it even better, also the tandori chicken tasted great, i would highly recommend this restuant to anyone who wants delious food and a nice atmosphere to dine in.

Great food. Great service. It was lunch time time so Im sure that helped. We had shrimp korma, chicken tikka masala and lamb vindalu - all were yummy! The lack of a buffet caught us off guard but at least the appetizers were buffet style.... So we could feed screaming kids something quickly and have the better quality food later! ;)

I travel a lot and rarely feel obligated to write a review. This place is absolutely fantastic. Do yourself a favor and make the visit. *edit* I wrote this review before I received my check, and now... I wish I could give it 6 stars for the fantastic value. I honestly cannot believe how great this place was for the price. Kudos!

This Indian restaurant stands out from a plethora of curry joints with imaginative and satisfying menu. They offer a variation on the popular Indian lunch buffet. You order a specific main dish item from their unusual and creative menu AND enjoy a variety of sides from their buffet. Full bar service, as well.
