I want to first say that I am about as critical as they come, especially with dining experiences, so some of you may think of me as harsh. I have been here twice now. First visit maybe three years ago, was with a friend from the area. Had I rated this place back then I would have given a rating of 0. Trendy setting, yes, but the service was novice, especially given the type of image they had been trying to present. Food was expensive and mediocre at best and small portions and the drinks were deplorable! I recently revisited and had a better experience. The service has improved- still not professional wait-staff at all which conflicts with the Manhattan image they are trying to present (they should perhaps take a field trip to see the difference), no obvious dining room captain, but an improvement and makes for a better dining experience. I think the biggest problem that exists is that this place is trying very hard to be something that they will not quite be. They have the cool decor, but for the prices they are asking its a bit much for "what it is" and thats a mediocre restaurant. Lower the prices some, get a decent bartender and this place will be more in par with what it should be- fun dining, no great expectations and not being over charged. The food still needs some refining, presentation was better, but still a bit to be desired, especially at the cost. The location doesnt seem to warrant an upscale restaurant and the staff isnt quite at the upscale level yet either ( I believe I passed an abandoned building or two in route) but they have improved. Would I go again? Perhaps....I am guessing this is the owners first "go" at a restaurant (could be wrong) and the management seems to be improving with time.

Had dinner here with 4 friends, and it was a mixed bag. The service was not well-timed and the wait staff was awkward and didnt have a grip on when to pour wine . Some of the wine-drinkers at our table only had 1 glass of wine, and others had 3 or 4 .The waiters need to be a bit more intuitive with expensive bottles of wine . Took a long time for the appetizers to come, which were mixed...superb mushroom raviolis,so-so arugula over buratta...the bread was a bit tired . The best part of the meal was the steak, which was top-notch . I had the filet mignon and it was tender, perfectly cooked, and very flavorful . Unfortunately the whole evening was overshadowed by loud entertainment, a man playing a piano and singing way too loudly . We really had trouble hearing each other and were never able to relax and savor the experience, except when the musician took a break . I hate to say it but we were all relieved when he stopped and highly disappointed when he resumed a while later . It killed the experience . If the owners pumped some nice jazz into the room at a reasonable sound level , schooled the wait staff, and timed things a little better, this place would be a winner . I am sure that for a lot of people it is already so, but our experience was frustrating in spite of the excellent steak .The devil, as they say, is in the details . I wish the staff good luck in the future .

Weve eaten there many times, and its a really lovely restaurant. Tom Costello does a great job in the open kitchen, and hes a nice guy to boot! I dont think weve had a bad meal yet, and weve taken many other friends and family to enjoy their food. There arent tons of fine dining options in Northern Westchester, and Thyme is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. For appetizers, we enjoy their french onion soup, scallops, short ribs and tuna. For entrees, we enjoy their fish dishes quite a lot. My son loves their mac & cheese, but we all *love* their amazing french fries. Thyme is a great place to go, and the interior decor is lovely. Stop reading...just go! :-)

Everything was excellent. The wait staff were over the top polite and attentive. The dinner portions were large. The pizza had truffle and that was a nice surprise. The skirt steak was cooked perfectly. The appetizer was large enough for a dinner. Everything was great. The reason Im giving it four stars is that the menu is typical American Bistro. It lacked creativity. If you like standard American fare, this is a great restaurant.

Not really one to write reviews but as much as my wife and I try to like this place, it overall has been disappointing. Weve been going there on and off for four years and between the cold greetings at the door, inconsistent hours and ultimately overpriced dishes, I think were done. It certainly has potential but is not quite making it as the sophisticated, hip place it seems to want to be.

Ok...the Manhattan feel is nice, although these arent Manhattan waiters. Im pretty certain the rule of thumb after delivering food is the initial follow up...as I was in desperate need for a drink refill and steak sauce, yet the waiter didnt show up until we were finished. A big no no, especially at these prices!

Had my company dinner there and the 6 of us enjoyed it! Warm welcome, prompt service and very good food. Liked the fact that it was not too noisy and we could hear each other. The round table and the gracious waitstaff helped make it a nice evening. A nice gem in an area with a dearth of nice restaurants.

Terrible experience, I was charged $12 for a single small mushroom cap! The wine was extremely spoiled and the pours were very inconsistent! I was told there were no shrimp available and then given some by a different waiter! save your money and go elsewhere!

Two friends and I ate dinner there last night. The staff was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. The food we ate (butternut squash soup, shrimp, steaks, salmon) was delicious. The ambiance is like a NYC restaurant. Try it... I think youll like it.

Toms a buddy of ours and this place is always a go-to for us. Lovely service and drinks, Mike is awesome, and I finally have a place i can bring my gluten-free old lady. The tuna tartar here will always be number one on my list of tuna tartars.
