As I waited for the rest of my party the male bartender (tall, beard, brownish hair) gave me a good dose of Brooklyn attitude by just looking at me and not asking if I wanted a drink. And its not a big bar and the other two bartenders were cranking out drinks and one of them helped me after the afore-mentioned hipster just stared at me. Not a great start, but Im born-and-raised in Manhattan so this only affirmed why I rarely venture out to BK. On to the REAL service...host seated us promptly once the rest of my party was on site. Excellent job by our server advising on menu selections based on our tastes and just being an attentive and knowledgeable food server. Mandoo was solid, albeit unspectacular. Banchan was limited but decent, if overall unspectacular (meaning I dont even remember a dish that stood out). Galbi was marinated to perfection and the Squid & Baby Octopus bbq was tiiiiiiiiiight! Soju was from a local BK brewery and I thoroughly enjoyed a craft soju very the harsh taste, yet potent effect of Chamisul. I would definitely eat here again and even wait for 10 minutes staring down the afore-mentioned bartender.

I celebrated my birthday here and cant say enough about how awesome everything was in every aspect. My group of 10 took over an entire table which was great and the staff was helpful and pleasant throughout the entire meal. They never rushed us and suggested appropriate portions and dishes for all. They had the best bulgogi, fried rice and chicken wings Iver ever had. The small karaoke room was perfect for our group and they bring drinks to you upon request. Pricing for pitchers of beer were fair and the song selections rock. Note: Reservations can only be made for dining groups of 6 or more, or for the karaoke rooms and they bookup fast.

Because Korean restaurants are less ubiquitous than Thai, Japanese, or Chinese restaurants in NYC, my review probably skews upward a little simply because it feels slightly unusual. Nevertheless, the food here is definitely very tasty! The restaurant was designed for groups as there are almost no small tables and almost every table features the traditional bbq grill in the center. I suppose the expectation is that people will find their way to the back rooms for karaoke after dinner, but at around 7-8pm I hadnt had enough to drink yet and it wasnt very appealing. All in all, its a nice place and definitely worth a try!

Dining Room and Bar are nicely designed and spacious. Karaoke rooms are also nice. Food and drinks are good ... but my gripe with this place is cost. One hour of Karaoke (room for 6-8), and dinner and drinks for 4 adults and two toddlers came to $400 (admin charge included). Seemed about 20-25% too high. Which by the way is sort of the standard for Brooklyn restaurants of this type; upscale ethnic food served in dining rooms with reclaimed wood, etc. As much as I enjoyed it and welcome it to Brooklyn the cost makes its hard to imagine choosing Insa over my K-Town faves.

Insa is not only a wonderful restaurant it was a wonderful experience. Decor is beautiful, particularly the rounded wood walls. The food is delicious, have the Seafood Pizza to share with the table....Yum-City. My favorite dish was the whole roasted fish. (The Chef was nice enough to give me the secret of the seasoning for it.) and BBQ was great (we had the Short Ribs and Pork Belly) Very interesting drink menu and of course the Karaoke rooms are a blast. Cant wait to go back.

Though you can get more for your money in Koreatown Insa is a solid option for anyone who doesnt want to make that hike but still wants to delicious Korean food. They do all the familiar Kbbq staples so youll be wanting for very little. There is a very attractive little bar where you can wait for your table on busy nights and order small plates. Great cocktails, good for large groups, and a very unique atmosphere. Karaoke too, but that might be a tad overpriced.

The wooden interior and lighting is beautiful. Staff are really friendly and nice. You can tell the ingredients are extremely fresh and high quality. All the Korean food is original to its taste and prepared perfectly; not too salty, great flavour balance and texture. Highly recommend the Korean Fried Chicken, Yangnyum Galbi, Yukgejang but honestly everything was so good. Great craft beer and natural wine selection. Oh, AND THEY HAVE KARAOKE!!

Insa is a classy Korean BBQ restaurant with great food and service. The side dishes are tasty, and the pork belly and beef we ordered were wonderfully made by our waiter. The first time we came here, it was packed, so we waited at the bar for our table and ordered some fried chicken. We loved the chicken so much that we barely had room for our food when we were seated! I cannot comment on the karaoke here as I have only visited to dine.

If I could give them 6 stars, I would! Went here recently for a fellow local guides birthday and was absolutely floored. The staff was kind and knowledgeable, and made recommendations based on each persons tastes. The food was AMAZING. Theres really no way to say it other than we all walked away incredibly satisfied -- straight into their karaoke rooms in the back! I honestly cant say enough good things about Insa, Ill definitely be back!

There is a lot of wood, and curves. The food is hot and its fun and the burner is right there in the table, dont touch it, use the tongs or your chop sticks. V friendly staff and many attractive people dining in this place. Attractive people looking at you warmly, momentarily, unassumingly, from several tables away. Theres karaoke in the back. Rosanna is my safety. Night moves is my reach. Restrooms are clean and private.

We have never been disappointed with the quality of service that we have received here. The drinks and food are priced fairly for the quality, and everything weve had is amazing. The sengsun gui and the tteokbokki are two of our personal favorites! At first, we didnt like the 20% fee and no tipping policy, but we have grown to appreciate it and like I said, there are few other places where we get as routinely great service!

In the best and greatest city in the world, I love Aidan food, particularly. Korean. Although there are many Koreans places in all 5 boroughs, check this one out in Brooklyn. This place is great to visit in groups or with family. You will taste every ingredient and sauce... Even with the tip included in the bill, I recommend still placing whatever extra tip you feel they deserve ..

I came here with 18 of my closest friends to celebrate my last days in the City. The hosts were amazing, and brought our food in a timely manner, and even if we were a big crowd, they made sure that everyones needs are attended. I absolutely recommend this place for big or small events, and if you can, book a place at the karaoke bar for after dinner fun. Awesome song selection!

Insa is a super cool, trendy but homey kind of place. The bartenders are so friendly and warm, happy to recommend their favorites and really take care of you! The food at Insa is really great as well. They serve whiskey, wine, beer and have private karaoke rooms for large groups. Grab a bunch of friends for food, drinks and karaoke! A+ for the new digs in Park Slope.
