When you first walk in the ambiance is really nice and I like the feel of the place. I had high hopes and was craving some Korean bbq and sushi. After living in Korea for 2 years I couldnt help but fall in love with the food and being new to this area, I decided to check this place out. The sushi roll I got was delicious and the drink I ordered was good but I was a little let down by the Korean BBQ. I ordered the bul-Golgi and Kalbi combo plate. The bulgolgi was a bit too sweet and the kalbi was lacking in flavor in my opinion. It wasnt bad but Im used to an explosion of flavors in my mouth and I just didnt get that here. The kimchi was quite sour and certainly did not taste fresh and the radish and bean sprouts sides were very bland. Ill be checking out other options before returning but sometimes I just need my Kor-BQQ fix.

Didnt leave a one star review just in case my judgement was clouded because of all the other amazing Korean restaurants Ive had over the years. This place was a real disappointment. The lack of service was disturbing. My glass stayed empty nearly the entire time I was here. The side dishes were far too few and not very good. The salad was just dressing on lettuce. No bean sprouts. We needed more rice and the lady basically told us no. When she did bring some but not before counting our bowls which just seemed odd. Im sure I wont be back... or my wife, or the friends we brought, or anyone else that asks about this place. I did however like the Christmas lights on the trees inside...

This place was horrible. My wife, my daughter, and myself recently visited on a Friday night. We were seated by the hostess, then another person took our drink order, then the hostess returned again with our drinks. It took so long we were discussing walking out and yet another different person took our order. After waiting for what seemed like half an hour yet another person brought our food out on a push cart......except they didnt have my wifes order and were missing part of mine. Finally we received all our food. I found the dinner to be over-priced and under seasoned. I wont be back.

Never order the Dolsot Bibimbap. Growing up with Koreans, I have had this meal numerous times. The stone bowl wasnt even hot, so the raw egg didnt even cook, there was no sizzle to the rice. It tasted like raw mushy rice. They didnt have bean sprouts. The side dishes taste old. My boyfriend got a teriyaki chicken bowl and they actually gave him 6 pieces of chicken... mind you this is a $16 meal. Definitely not something to write home about. The worker never came once to ask how my meal is so I couldnt even tell him my problems with it. Will never come again.

I feel completely ripped off! Today I ordered a beef bowl for lunch which cost about $11 - $12. I was very disappointed to find that this "beef bowl" contained less than a typical dinner spoonful of beef. Literally. The dish is a bowl of steamed rice with various types of vegetables and an extremely small amount of beef in the middle. I asked my server was this a mistake and someone came over to the table and mentioned how expensive beef is. Really? $12? Never again!

This is the only sushi restaurant in Birmingham worth going to. Im used to sushi restaurants on every corner with all of them serving great sushi (so cal), so believe me when I say.. I have tried to find other acceptable sushi restaurants in Birmingham - usually Im sorry I even tried. Their sushi is always fresh and tastes great. They are growing in popularity and Im glad to see that for them, but they need to keep up with service.

This place is phenomenal! I have eaten a lot of sushi in the United States and Canada, and NO place compares to Ginza. The service is great, the people are so nice, and the sushi. Wow. Thats all I can say. If my husband knew I was writing a review on this, he would tell me there are no real words to explain how good it is. Try it! You wont be disappointed!

I have gone when the food was amazing and gone when it was okay... The sushi is yummy but their menu food is iffy. However, they do have Celiac Disease friendly food and are very careful with their gloves as long as you tell them there is an allergy involved so I suggest going if you have allergy problems

Had eclectic assortment of dishes during our first visit, mostly Korean. Waitress was EXTREMELY NICE AND HELPFUL. A rarity in many places. Food was mostly good, but needed a little more flavor. Dont be afraid to season the food according to the cuisine. Definitely will return.

The service was very slow. And there was only like 4 tables of people. They were far from busy. Also they did not send out enough salads for 4 people, and we had to go and get our own spoons because they never came back with them. Its pretty inside but the service is awful.

I hadnt had GREAT asian food since my Air Force tour in Okinawa. Gave this place a try while in Birmingham on business. Chicken Catsu was as good, if not better than the best Ive ever had! Awesome service! Stop what youre doing and pay this restaurant a visit!

The sushi and sashimi were excellent. Extremely friendly staff. Location is convenient. Prices are reasonable. Theres.nothing outstandingly unique, but they nail the food and service perfectly, and thats worth a lot to me. Ill be going back!

Friendly service and top quality Sushi. My only small nit-pic would be that presentation of our entrées were lacking compaired to the guests sitting across from us. Regardless, we had a great experience and well definitely go back soon.

This is my absolute favorite place to get sushi. I eat here about once a week. The Philly Roll and the Yummy Yummy Roll are my favorites. Ive tried just about all the rolls, and they are all delicious. Best sushi place in Birmingham.

Not sure why this is so lowly rated. We went here with a big group and it was great. All you can eat, affordable, and tasty. Service was quick and they came back frequently to ask if he wanted anything more.

In my opinion, Ginzas Bento lunch boxes are the best lunch under $11 in Birmingham. There are six to choose from, so everyone can get the protein they prefer. Everything is always so fresh and amazing!

I ordered one thing received another, tried repeatedly to correct my order and 30 minutes later, I left with no food and was told by management I needed to wait another 5/10 minutes.

I work close to Ginza so this is usually a weekly thing for us. I love the teriyaki salmon box and the super crunch roll. This is one of the best kept secrets for sushi.

We always have a wonderful time here. The waiters and waitresses are always nice and friendly! By far our favorite sushi on 280 and perhaps all of Birmingham.

Ginza was recommended by a friend but I dont think this place is worth a price. Foods are not meeting the price its given. I dont think we will be coming back
