Hey guys. So I tried this Korean BBQ place for the first time yesterday. Its still fairly new and does have a nice ambiance inside. The customer service from Matthew was great and they did an overall great job on the vibe. So dont get me wrong, they pass in all areas except for the most important one, and thats the food. I was raised off real natural and even organic meats and I really can tell the difference between a delicious, natural beef/meat vs garbage. This place has to get there meats from the cheapest source and probably pays next to nothing. If your a true foodie like me and enjoy quailty food, seriously, just go somewhere else. I paid for the unlimited option for me and my friend and end up paying $34.99x2 (unlimited opt) for what I know to be below average quality food. Hell, I could have just paid and extra few dollars per meal and taken my friend and I to a premier steakhouse in Atlanta like Chops, Bones, Mortons or STK steakhouse. I really expected better quality. As I write this, it 4am am Im in the bathroom all night because my stomach simply did not agree with the quality of there food. If your not a true foodie like me and If quality is not important to you, Id recommend this place all the way orerwise, seriously, just stay away.

One the many KBBQ places in the Pleasant Hill, 9292 is very similar to 678 BBQ that is down the street. There is a meaning behind the number I however have not done research yet to decipher that meaning. The restaurant is spacious with lots of different seating arrangements for large and small parties. Also this place is decked out in flat screen TVs (even in the restroom!) with all the latest KPOP music videos blasting on it. The menu here is similar to most KBBQ places with a choice between unlimited or single platters. The meat ranges from poultry all the way to seafood that is all cooked in front of you. Marinated or un marinated. An assortment of kimchi style side dishes accompany your meal. The grille has side compartment that are used to cook the eggs, kimchi, and corn sides. They all pair well with the BBQ meat. Overall, I fully knew what I was expecting going into this. With KBBQ, what makes a place stand out will not just be the food but also the service and I will day 9292 has excellent service and the staff here does a very good job of keeping the customers happy.

Id give this place a 3.5 if i could but im rounding up. A little better than mediocre for the price, and i may or may not return again. Went for dinner with a group of 7 and spent almost $300. They crowded us into a tiny table. The service felt like it was rushed but it was slow at the same time (had no water for extended periods of time, stopped refilling banchan halfway into service until reminded, seemed like some meats were not up to quality). I expect spectacular food and service at about $30 per person minimum, but that wasnt the case. Gratuity of 18% is added here for parties of 6+. The only real positive was they give a lot of banchans and they are all pretty good. Meats were decent for the price, and charcoal cooked is always a great for korean bbq so points for that

Best KBBQ experience I have had anywhere. This place is different in that the grills run on charcoal rather than gas as most other KBBQs do. It gives the meat a different taste. Its also always entertaining to watch the guy come out from the back with a flaming bucket of charcoal to replace in your grill. Also, the service is the best ever I have experienced from anywhere. Our waiter was constantly bringing out things we needed and was always there to cook the meat for us. We didnt even have to worry about cooking the meat ourselves as you do at most places; we were able to just sit back, relax, and talk. I havent tried 678 so I cant compare, but I think from now on I will make an effort to go to places that use charcoal.

Worst experience ever! We could not order the unlimited menu unless everyone at the table did. Our friends and table mates decided to wait for another table so we could order. 25 minutes later, the waiter still had not come back and we walked out. While we were waiting, the table next to us got served. The range hood was not working well and smoke from the grill encompassed us all, to the point it was hard to see through it. The manager did nothing at all to help and actually walked away from us while we were talking to him. NEVER AGAIN! I wouldnt even give it one star but it would not let me post without at least one.

The service here was great and we were able to be seated very quickly. The menu unfortunately was incomplete as they didnt have certain options available like the lunch boxes. Most likely because they had just opened. Only a couple people in out group wanted the unlimited BBQ option however we were informed that we could only get that option if all the members of the group ordered unlimited BBQ. Instead I had the spicy beef and noodle soup which was delicious. The sides were great except for the pickled radish which was soft instead of crunchy. Over all a good experience and I left very full.

Had family in town so we thought wed try this newer kbbq joint. We were seated immediately and the food was good. Definitely liked the pull down blinds between larger tables. We felt rushed though... Not sure if the waiter thought we werent capable or just wanted to get us out of there but he laid meat after meat on the grill to the point where it wasnt enjoyable anymore. Having been looking forward to chatting/catching up over beer and food, we ended up shoveling food into our mouths to keep up. Ill go elsewhere next time.

I enjoyed the food here! The quality of the meat is better than some places in the area. I do not recommend them for a large group, as it is too overwhelming for them. At least in my experience. They are newer than many of the other Korean BBQ places in the area, so I am hoping they work to smooth out some of the issues. Ex. Reservations not being properly recorded and honored.

Modern decor, but traditional cooking method and set up...coals in the middle. Nothing unusual, but its done very well. We order a combo which came with the usual sodes, and also Kimchi fried rice which was great. The kids ate very well, and a local population was in the majority, always a good sign for ethnic restaurants.

The food was great and the severs were attentive. We had lunch on Saturday and the location was about half full. No wait for seating on this day. Prices are comparable to other Korean bbq places in the area. Entree with the sides was plenty of food for 2 people. IT is worth a return trip one day.

This place is awesome. You get great food, at decent prices, with a much better environment than Iron Age. Here you can actually hear the people talking to you across the table, and feel more at ease. The food is delicious and hard to stop eating! I love 9292!!! My new favorite KBBQ~♡
