VEGETARIANS - BEWARE! I used to really like this place and was a regular there, but my most recent experience changed my opinion about them. I ordered aloo motor gobi via seamless and in my very last bite of food I got a piece of chicken. Im vegetarian and you can only imagine how that discovery made me feel. I called the restaurant to inform them about the situation. I was offered replacement (which I didnt want because I already ate all my food but also because how can I be sure there wouldnt be any meat in the replacement dish?) Person that spoke to me did apologize but it didnt sound very sincere and he wasnt able to answer my questions which were: how could that have happened and how can restaurant assure me its not going to happen in the future. I was told he would speak to the chef and ask and of chef says it could have happened I would get my money back. He took my name and phone number. I never got a phone call back. Next day, I emailed the restaurant. I gave them 3 days to respond. Never heard from them. This is how much they care about their customers.

The one thing that went well was the water was repeatedly filled. I had to ask for a menu and let someone know I was ready to order. Despite having only water when the food arrived I had to ask for utensils. The samosa was decent but nothing special. The tikka masala tasted like spiced ketchup sauce but at least the chicken was mostly tender. The naan wasnt bad so theres that. Then someone came and cleared my table, took the glass of water, and 5 minutes later I had to ask someone to give me the check. These other reviews got me in the place and now I wonder how on earth their experience so widely varied from my own.

My wife and I have eaten at Indian Spice 12 or more times, alone, with family, and/or with a number of friends. We all found the food consistently delicious, fresh, and attractively presented. And we have had numerous different dishes. The owners high standards are visible in all aspects of the restaurant - food, service, ambiance and welcoming, helpful and friendly staff. And it is quiet enough to even be able to talk with everyone at your table without shouting.

Well, this was a 2-star review due to food taking two hours to get here, but I pumped them up because they were really genuinely concerned and tried everything they could to make the situation right. The food was pretty good, on the spicy side (which is nice). Skip the Aloo Fried, though: for $4, you get a half-dozen seasoned potato wedges (Ore-Ida, perhaps) with some chopped chiles and a few squirts of chutney. Lame.

Quiet, clean atmosphere! Colorful decor! Raju was a pro serving us from start to finish.we ordered few items for our late lunch; food was on time, tasty n delicious. tandoori chicken was done just right! Mango lassi was thick n sweet (more ingredients, less ice) You can expect to see this desi for another meal real soon. Thank you very much, guys!

Totally underutilized dining area...makes it great for a quiet meal (they must be making ends meet via delivery). Attentive staff knows the balance: dont linger too long and always at the ready. Quick tip: the combo dinner plates are a full meal with authentic spicing and tastes at a reasonable price.

Really great new Indian takeout place in the neighborhood, an upgrade from the old Bombay Grill. Food is tasty and fresh, and the kitchen is liberal with the spices. Delicious naan bread and a $15 delivery/takeout special that is plenty for two. Super friendly staff and very attractive decor inside.

The food was really good. Came here on a Friday night with my boyfriend around 9:00-10:00 it was not busy or loud. It was a bit dark for my personal likening but oh well. Butter chicken was really good also the garlic nan is good. I definitely would come back here. Yummy

Wonderful food and service! The samosas and aloo Tikis as well as the curries tasted brilliant. They were well balanced in spices and felt nice and light. The naans were amazing and so was the ras malai, a wonderful way to end a delicious menu.

A wonderful Indian restaurant. The stuff is amazing, the food is great (and reasonably priced), and we ate here (take-out and dine-in) five times during our 6-weeks stay in Park Slope. Highly recommended!

I eat here at least once a week and the food is pretty good. The past weekend I ordered samosa for takeaway and found a hair in the pastry. Had to throw out 3 orders of Samosa. Waste of money and food.

Nice little place that you may miss while walking by. After missing a reservation at another restaurant we chose this cozy spot which had great food you wont find in many places.

Fresh, really tasty. Significantly better than the other indian meals my wife and I have had in our 2.5 years in nyc. Poppadoms, chicken madras and mango chicken were great!
