History, Corned Beef Hash, Fried Food, and a few missteps. This is a historical diner with excellent diner food for the money. It was renovated a couple years ago and the atmosphere was great. The corned beef hash is delicious and anything fried is served hot and perfect. Their "fat" sandwiches are worth checking out. I ordered a Fat Linda with chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks. It was hot, fried, and exactly what I needed at 10pm. That being said, diner menus are notoriously long and everything on it isnt roses and sunshine. Id recommend this place to a friend, but consider the following negatives for objectivitys sake and to avoid my mistakes. The nachos werent great, as the chip-to-topping ratio was off and the bacon/ground beef topping was weird. The sour cream and guacamole were far from fresh. I tried the Penne with vodka and it was sad. The pasta was overcooked and the sauce was bland. Id go here for the typical diner fare like pancakes, fried food, and corned beef hash as, like with most diners, the average dish is seemingly but an afterthought.

So I eat breakfast here as usual. After my one egg breakfast, my server is sitting within ear shot and she says to the other server, "are the eggs fresh today?" The older lady replied,"no they are not". My server then says,"well I aint eating them, I want to find something to eat"! That conversation deserves zero stars and is the reason I will never step foot in Reo Diner! On top of the fact, I ordered egg breakfast no beverage but ask for a cup of hot water. Yup... you guessed it...they charged me $1.55 for a cup of hot water. But the worst part was my server gave me the bill with just the sour egg breakfast, the guy at the counter added the hot water charge....smh. they use to get $30/$40 every week from me, not including tip which was ALWAYS half the check amount!!! But over rotten eggs and a

Food is good. The wait staff is in a big rush to get you out. Was there at 11pm on a Friday (it was not busy) and before we were finish our dinner the waitress brought the check out. We said we were not done and would like dessert. So she then proceeds to bring dessert out while we still working on dinner. She had to make room on the table to fit the desserts dishes. When we were done we had to stack the dinner dishes to make room for the dessert dishes. She was nowhere to be found. She looked old enough to know better, but apparently could not give damn about etiquette. Guess she just had to have a cigarette or make that important cell call. Its a diner and not a high end restaurant but really would it take that much to be a little considerate.

I truly fail to see how anyone can find this place enjoyable. I suppose they Rarely Eat Out. I had my one and only experience here. I wont be coming back, thats for sure. I had the beef stew special, and the special part was the gravy that included roasted cloves and had nothing to do with beef. And the shrimp on the salad bar was spoiled. Rotten. Bad fishy taste. My wife ate a passable cheesesteak sandwich, and my daughter didnt finish her chicken fingers. Save your money. The food is well below average, and if its not two am, and youre not drunk, you would do well to look elsewhere. Anywhere else.

I had a terrible experience at this diner. The cashier charged my credit card incorrectly. When this was called to the managers attention, he turned around and walked away. Obviously, he couldnt care less about his customers. The cashier who created the problem to begin with then took a sarcastic attitude, issuing a very insincere apology. All in all, the lack of professionalism and the arrogance of the staff is enough to permanently keep me out of that dive. I would greatly discourage anyone who pays the check with their credit card to stay away from there as well.

I was threaten by someone who was waitstaff I didnt even know. No class, she stated she was going to kick my ass or better yet kill me.The owner could care less. My lawyer is sending him a letter. Trailer park trash waitress. Greasy hair & NO self resepect. She wasnt even our server. If you value your life youll never go to the low life Rio diner as you dont know when psycho waitress will threaten you!! Police report filed.

La tortilla española muy rica, los camareros muy atentos, sólo tengo una queja el chocolate caliente no sabía a nada parecía que estaba bebiendo agua caliente, por todo lo demás muy bien.

My family and I have gone there many times over the years. We just love this place. It is also convenient to the cemetery, Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, a short distance away. When we have had funerals or unveilings, we usually go there with the attendees to eat something after the service. We love it so much that, even on an ordinary weekend, we will travel quite a distance (from Jackson, NJ) to have a meal there.

The food and the service for breakfast and lunch has been great. The staff is quick to refill beverages. The food is brought out quick and the tables offer plenty of room for dishes. I have seen the owner sitting at the counter by the front door many times keeping an eye on his staff and patrons. The owner has an interest in maintain a successful business and shows an interest in customer satisfaction.

This diner is not the same as before. The food is horrible which gave me a stomach virus for 3 days. Breakfast quality food is horrible. Wait staff are very rude and unprofessional. Save you money and go somewhere else. Not worth it and not to mention the hostest or cashier has an attitude and the man that sits you down is not very professional and they dont acknowledged customers

If youve never been to a good diner - youll like it here. However, if you have been to a good diner... well, you wont. Food is just meh. All of it. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Its conveniently located, yes. But the parking lot is a nightmare!!! Service can be either hit or miss. All in all, for breakfast, at this point, Id go to IHOP for breakfast.

Food is gross, nothing is natural or fresh. All is crappy. The butter down to the bread seems very low quality.. Smh I will never come back here. Many will and unfortunately keeping the cycle of "crappy food,,_" unhealthy standards like having nothing fresh or organic. Fits right in with heart attack, fat Americana, nothing special kind of place.

Ive been going to the Reo since 1987 and must say going back last week made me wish it was 1987 again. The Greek salad was so disappointing and no feta cheese! The service was so so and Im glad I live in a town where I have 6 diner options within 4 miles unlike my old stomping ground- Woodbridge!!

I like this place. Its always packed on weekends. The food is fresh and tasty. Perfect diner. I come here alone and sit at the bar. Get a chance to watch the waiters prepare some drinks and deserts. Kind of fun. Nice place to have Sunday brunch. Hm, too bad they cant serve mimosas
