Now in previous visits Id rate this place okay! Solid diner, big menu, good service. However too many trips are touch and go; today was the worst. Ordered the blue burger (blue cheese, bacon, avocado) asked for medium rare. What I got was more like an old display model of a burger than actual food! Check the included picture (not the one from 2016)! The bun was toasted so hard that it solidified into a rock. The avocado was not ripe, not even close - was like rubber I couldnt bite into. The bacon tasted like burnt pots and pans and I couldnt tear it with my teeth, like jerky. The blue cheese was the only fair ingredient. My friends Shepard pie was okay (its big enough for 5 people to eat) but my other friends mozzarella sticks had a taste that cant be identified, like a chemical, and the breading was still wet so it wasnt crispy. I would probably go again after a while because I know this place CAN be good, but when it was busy like it was today, the quality drops harshly.

Chicken Caesar Salad is a standard item on a lot of restaurant menus, Caesar salad dressing, parmesan cheese, romaine lettuce, croutons, Caesar dressing and of course chicken. Some places may add olives or peppers. Last night at the Park Wayne Diner my Chicken Caesar Salad consisted of iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, eggs, peppers, croutons, creamy Italian dressing and chicken. When I mentioned to my waiter that I had believed I had been brought a toss salad with chicken he became very rude and insisted that Chicken Caesar Salad is made different everywhere and this is how they make their salad. There are plenty of Diners in NJ – including the one just up the road Wayne Hills. I will not visit Park Wayne again.

Great food and service. Dont understand the negative reviews here. We usually have the same waiter - tall young man who is awesome. Attentive, courteous, responsive. The He Man breakfast (served all day) is a huge amount of food for $8. Good burgers, omelets, salads, pancakes, belgian waffles. Lemon meringue pie is delicious. Weve never had a bad experience and friends from out of town insist on coming here when they are back in Jersey. We used to drive all the way up to Mahwahs Stateline Diner for a good diner meal, but they went downhill and Park Wayne upped their game. Now this is the only diner in the area we patronize.

Funny about the complaints about their service. Ha ha. They fired me...a veteran waitress of 30yrs. Never had a complaint...ever. I was a little slow with the computer and dealing with the sickening personalities and attitudes there...so they let me GO. I worked in that building as a teenager with the most beautiful diner owners ever. God Bless Em All . Yes I do eat there, I leave gratuity depending literally on the service or overservice that I receive. Point Blank. The food is great and the place is clean. These things matter.

bit into cheesesteak and saw nothing but animal fat! i think this man isnt even using real beef. i have never entered such a place with the ugliest group of broads in it...i thought i was walking into the set of the Exorcist the way these girls were so beaten up looking and they wreaked of cigerettes. and let us not forget how they all smoke them in the bathroom and sleep on the booths at night. utter disgust. when i walk into a diner when im drunk i want hot girls...

i have been eating here for years and while i always order the same thing, it is always GREAT (and not just when im drunk) great milkshakes, great belgian waffles, great grilled cheeses, and AWESOME DISCO FRIES!!!! and even if the wait staff isnt always the easiest on the eyes, which seems to be a huge problem for some reviewers, they are generally friendly considering how many drunk jerkoff college students they have to deal with (myself included)

My sister and I tried Pompton Queens Diner without reservations on a Friday night and waited about 20 minutes before we decided to leave. That place was PACKED. And with a lot of old people. They take forever. But the Park Wayne Diner was real nice. Not pricey, nicely decorated, we didnt have to wait or call for reservations. But people who came about 15 minutes later had to wait. Our waiter was excellent.

I actually really enjoy this diner, everything always is great, but when I just called to ask if they deliver I got a nasty attitude from some woman who answered the phone "no we dont deliver now" and before I could ask anything else she hung up immediately. I called back and the phone went straight to a busy signal. Pretty disappointed in this diner with terrible customer service.

Very good food and a great way to meet up with friends. The French toast is superb, though it was upsetting that the portabella mushroom burger was removed from the menu. Most of the waiters are extremely nice while a few of them are a little cold, especially one who kept on checking on my friends and I every five minutes for no apparent reason.

Well I was here and it was very slow. The service was not good, I wasnt asked if I would like dessert. Overall I was not satisfied. The food was a little too much for my liking but hey I had some leftovers. I might come back but for now you deserve a star..please use this review and get better.. Thanks

We used to eat here a lot when on lunch break. Decent lunch prices, and service was nice enough. We stopped coming after I found a ladybug in my spanikopita. They offered to replace my food, but did not offer to comp it, which I felt wasnt right. I wasnt very hungry after that discovery.

Good service and great portions, but we heard the manager go on a tirade against a busboy in front of us. Inappropriate and rude to call any of your staff idiots, especially in front of guests. And the eggs were not especially tasty for $14. Not returning here.

One of the Best Diners in the Area. Pretty good food, its a good mix of the big variety you expect in a diner. Clean place, good service. Waiter had amazing memory, took order for 8 people with no paper. Everything came out on time and just as we asked for it.

WIth the renovations, this place brought a new menu with delicious food. The burger selection is just amazing, and the paninis are just as good. The staff is friendly, and the restaurant is very family friendly. Definitely a regular for our family.

Found out about this place in high school and have been coming back ever since. Never had a bad order, although some waitstaff could stand a lesson in manners! The weekends get super hectic but its never a long wait.

We usually get the burgers and they are pretty good. Last few times they were not the same quality, fries were over done. I hope this place doesnt let the quality go down like just about every other.
