Loved, Loved, Loved this place. Ive been there twice now and will be back many more times. At first I wasnt sure if I would like going to a "Country Bar"...but it was so much more then that. They have country line dancing - which is a lot of fun and they dont just dance to country music, they were line dancing to everything!! Then I was surprised to find out that they have a rock bar right in the other room that I didnt see the first time I was there. The band that was playing was Ampd and they totally rocked!!! I even got up on the bar and danced. I havent eaten there yet but looked at the menu - pretty much a general bar type menu but thats okay, Im not going there for the food. Im going to attempt the Beginner County Line Dance Workshop they are having at the end of the month so next time I go on a Saturday night, maybe Ill be able to keep up with the expert dancers out there. I also plan on riding the bull...after a shot or two. I cant wait to go back...Im totally hooked on this place!

Its not every day that you have your worst restaurant experience ever. Mine happened a today. The food at this place is horrible but the nightmare doesnt end there, this place have the worse service, the "STAFF" can only be describe by disrespectful, obnoxious, impolite etc etc etc. these 3 stooges so-called BOUNCERS police/securities wanna-be get off threating families and elders. Their power trips go as far as yelling, cursing, bullying and terrorizing paying customers. As a customer you have no rights in this place if you ever go be prepare to be mistreated and dont even try to talk to the manager because this place is run by the 3 fat bald guys with the STAFF t-shirt on, the manager excuses her dogs behavior. I will not recommend this place to my worse enemy BE AWARE!!!

This place is interesting and different. Country music isnt really my bag. Much of it is rather pedestrian. I wish this place played all Southern rock like Lynyrd Skynyrd. That would rule. They charged a cover at the door. I guess that is because some people go there just to dance and/or hang out. They serve good "bar food". This bar is really big with plenty of parking. They offer line dancing lessons. I dont even want to try it because I dont feel like dealing with obnoxious regulars on the dance floor. They have a mechanical bull. Did I try it? FUGGETABOUTIT! This is a real country bar ... by New Jersey standards. If you want Gilleys then go to Texas.

I have been dancing at the Colorado Café since 1997. It is the best country western bar in New Jersey. The size of the dance floor is fantastic. Wild Bill, the Saturday night DJ, is by far the best! He knows how to keep the line dancers as well as couples happy all night long and he is 95% country music with only a little bit of alternative music. The atmosphere is friendly and fun. To describe the Colorado Café with a review is difficult. It has to be experienced to get the true sense of a country bar. It has "energy" that cant be beat!!!

Great atmosphere to have a party. 3 bars, tons of action/fun def a spot to hit up once, but after you go once youre hooked. Live bands, Country line dancing, and Bull riding. The mechanical bull is crazy... Best bartenders to go to are Nick and Keir. Those guys can make some crazy drinks. If you want something special.. Theyll make it. Military, Fire and Police get in for free. Just make sure to have your ID on you. Awesome time guaranteed. Saturday nights are the best but theyre open Wed, Fri, Sat and Sun.

A pretty interesting spot - country line dancing in New Jersey, who would’ve thought? Have you ever seen a group of people country line dancing to Moves Like Jagger? Yup. There’s lessons on Wednesdays & Sundays before you arrive – they’ll teach you one song and you’ll be left stumped the rest of the night. It seems like most of the crowd are quite experienced and the type that come here every Sunday. Regardless, I really do like this place. The drinks are cheap, the people are fun to watch, and it’s all-ages fun.

Was really looking forward to going but ended up having a terrible time. Went for dinner and the food was less than mediocre. The manager was also extremely rude to our group due to a minor disagreement we had. He did not handle things as a manager should, and we were very disappointed with the service over all. Wouldnt recommend going here since the food is bad and overpriced, and the service is bad. I will never be returning.

It was a great time and the food was awesome for where you are. It was a very energetic crowd of people who were very friendly. I liked the staff for the most part and the bar setup/layout is very unique for the area. They really could use to spend some money on new pool tables. The tables are quite crooked. Overall its a definite stop if you live in the area or if you were looking for somewhere fun to spend a weekend night.

Good selection of country music with a lot of Pop; VERY choreographed dances. If you are an experienced country dancer, this bar is not for you. No room for couples to two-step freely. They do offer lessons for the previously mentioned choreographed dances during the week. All and all clean and friendly staff, well priced drinks with spacious bar areas around the smaller than normal dance floor.

Long story short: I got sick after a night of drinking. I cleaned up after myself. After over 100 dollars spent, the moment I got sick I wasnt allowed anywhere but outside. I was neither belligerent nor looking for another drink beyond water. I was treated like garbage immediately. Wont be spending another dime here ever again. Dont waste your time or money.

Definitely a place for midaged- older people whom only enjoy line dancing. Slow service, full wall of rules to read when waiting to pay an unnecessarily expensive cover and unpleasant employees. NOT a place for you if you expect real country music, people, or dancing. Essentially a New Jersey take on country.

Ive been dancing at the cafe for 8-9 years, and a regular until about 2 years ago. It will always be my second home! Its much more than a bar - true and real friendships were formed here with staff and other patrons. Thank you for the memories, colorado cafe!

Best bar for line dancing! Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays are country, Friday is top 40 club night. Saturday is definitely the most popular night, great mix of ages, mix of new and experienced dancers. Nick is the best bartender there!

PERMANENTLY CLOSED! Thanks for the 22.5 years Colorado Cafe. You didnt have the best customer service, but you were by far the most unique bar/nightclub around in the NYC metro area. You will be very sorely missed.
