Patrons BEWARE!!! I visited this bar on Saturday June 14, 2014 and will never go back. I am a 33 year old father and was absolutely outraged on how i was treated. My friends and i were celebrating a birthday that evening and decided to attend this location. We arrived in a limousine which brought us to and from the establishment. The evening went well until the lights came on. I paid my tab and wanted to visit the restroom prior leaving as we had a 45 minute ride ahead of us. On the way to the restroom i was confronted by one of their "roid raging" bouncers named Joe. He asked were i was headed and i explained i needed to use the restroom. He stated "too bad, were closed!" i further explained i was there in a limo and had a long ride home and needed to use the facilities. He then told me, "you can either walk out or i will drag you out" I then told him, thats ridiculous i am going to use the restroom. Immediately following my breathe i was put into a headlock and dragged up the stairs, forced head first through a crowd, punched in the side then thrown to the ground on the sidewalk and a knee put into my chest!!! i did not try to resist or protect myself in anyway. When i got up from this traumatic experience, my $150 shirt was torn, $300 shoes scuffed, my brand new $600 phone broken, and bruises on ribs. I immediately spoke with one of three officers (Ptlm. Birch(not sure if spelling is correct)) standing outside and told him i was physically assaulted and would like to press charges. This officer was not looking to serve me or help the situation in anyway, as the 3 officers were too busy gawking at the females leaving the bar. He instead told me i would have to go down to the headquarters to fill out a report. Unfortunately, i did not get the chance because the limo was only rented for a set time frame and we didnt have the time to stop. I do intended on pressing charges for excessive force among other things. Upon visiting the doctor today(Sunday 06/15/2014) it turns out i suffered two fractured ribs from the experience.I am disgusted this is how paying customers are treated in this establishment and fully intend on letting the public know through every online forum available. Beware of this establishment unless you like being beaten up for no reason!

The bouncer (white bald guy with tattoos) thought my very real Maryland ID was fake. I showed them my credit and debit cards, my old student ID (from MARYLAND), my work ID, even offered to log-in to the irs or mva website and show them my very real birthdate. They didnt understand this concept. They refused to let me in. Heres a tip: Maryland IDs are extremely hard to fake, we have security strips going down the center with a code, among other security features. It is worth no-ones time to fake a MD ID. On top of that, my ID is freshly renewed by a couple months and is a new version. Regardless, I have 0 reason to get a fake, I have a full time job and am not a freshman in college. I have never been rejected before with my card. They bent the card saying "the laminate is coming off". When me and ten others bent the card, there was zero sign of this. This is on top of the other numerous security features on the card that scream "REAL". Im very worried that this was about race. I never think this. But I was the only black person there, and they wouldnt let me in for whatever strange reason. They were adamant. I do not even look younger than 21. All my coworkers know I am 21. I have no reason to bring a fake from my own state. The way the bouncer handled it also did not help. It felt racist, but I really dont want to think that. The worst part is, I HAVE BEEN TO IRON BAR BEFORE. If this had not happened, I literally would have not cared. I would rate the place maybe 3 out of 5. It is generally very loud, and crowded, but its okay for a bar. But with service like this they should be ashamed of themselves. Its okay for me to get rejected, but be nice about it and have real reasons. We had a party of about 20 and we all left because of this. This was the first time most were trying Iron Bar, so it did not leave a good impression. If you want a good bar, go to Famished Frog, Sona Thirteen, or anywhere else really. Iron Bar is not worth the time. If I ever have to come here again Ill make sure to bring my bank statements, passport, birth certificate, and the doctor who was present at my birth.

I normally love this bar, and frequent it quite often with my friends and myself. I decided to plan my birthday on it along with some other friends. Unfortunately towards the end of the night, a few of my so-called friends left the bar leaving the rest of us with a gigantic bill. We finally managed to pay the bill in full, BUT the entire time one of the bouncers kept threatening to hurt me if I didnt pay soon. He mentioned it at least 3 times. I thought that was completely unprofessional no matter how inconvenient this was to the staff. Are you kidding me? Since when does a bar threaten physical violence if a bill wasnt paid in a timely fashion? Luckily the Sheriff and local Police were in the bar, so I wasnt too worried Id get physically assaulted. I just couldnt believe my ears when I was being 100% cooperative with trying to get my friends back into the bar so they could pay their portions of the tab. Im not even exaggerating either. The bouncer said "someones going to get hurt if this bill isnt paid soon." I told him theres no need for violence. He smirked and said "Well, youre going to get hurt." There was also one time he told me to leave his presence or "Im going to hurt you." I felt very threatened.. I didnt say much to him either. I understand the entire ordeal was time-consuming, and probably took a toll on peoples patience, but I expected a little more professionalism. I am a consumer and Ive never caused one problem to the bar in the past. This was a fluke on my party. Ive always loved the bar, but I do think one bouncer in particular needs to be re-trained on how to communicate with patrons. I really do love the bar, and how it got renovated. Im very turned off at how I was treated, regardless of the circumstances. I most likely will not return to this bar.

Well seems like I had some of the same experiences other people had with the bouncers. I was there on 11/28/15 sitting at the bar with my boyfriend talking for a good hour only had 2 drinks. Then all of a sudden some young kid around 915ish came uo behind me and said Im taking your chair. Im all confused like why is some young kid trying to take my chair. I said no Im sitting her please move along. Then I see the bartender behind the bar smile at him and as I turn around the guy is giving her a weird smile. Then proceeds to tell me no Im taking your chair get up. So me being 30 years old figured oh this is some punk kid who is trying to act cool in front of his friends. So I said no your not taking my chair leave me alone or Ill punch u in the throat. (Yes I said that bc the guy was rude and persistent ). Well big Mistake all of a sudden u can see his shirt now under his zip up saying iron bar starts screaming at another bouncer and next thing u know were getting kicked out. And on my way out I got called every profanity in the book a female should never be called ever. If I knew that "kid" bouncer worked there and he mentioned hey its getting to the packed hours I need to remove your chairs please yes I would of complied but never once did he mention he work there and never once was polite he was just acting like some kid who thought he was cool in front of his friends. Never again will I go back here. We were paying customers who were sitting quite having a drink until someone wanted to have fun at his job. Never in my life have I been talked to the way that bouncer did to me
