It doesnt get much friendlier than this Family owned diner with a lot of class! The food is always cooked quickly, served hot and you gets lots of it! Burgers are delicious, soups are homemade, breakfast menu is unbelievable! Plus the place is cleaner than anyplace around. The owner, George is always there and loves to talk with you. His staff are always greeting you with a smile . A very nice man who obviously knows what it takes to run a diner. His kids are there too on the weekends. They are polite and hard working all day! Very impressive people. Not like the bigger place that just takes your money. This place is very affordable and always pleasing to eat at! Thats where I go for a great meal!

Straight out of 1940 with very few changes made, this diner is old-school awesome with terrific food. I just visited today and had the patty melt. I have a culinary diploma and write about food and this was the BEST patty melt Ive ever had. The fries were fresh and crispy and the taste was clean (no old oil lying around at the Royal Diner!) Id travel back from Bethlehem, Pa any day to get another. My daughter had the California burger and was just as impressed. The staff was courteous and kind without any fake "fluff" going on. When I asked when the diner was built my server knew right away. If youre in or near Washington, NJ, the Royal Diner is worth checking out.

Dont let the exterior fool you, went there based on the good reviews and was not disappointed! Very clean,fast service, one of the nicest servers ever, and Great Food! Had a Monti Cristo sandwich which I shared with my son because it was huge. Delicious! Cant wait to go back, just wish I lived closer.

My favorite of all local diners. It is truly old school diner. Service is great, food is great. It is great when you walk in and the waitress remembers you and what you ate the last time, and if I wanted it again...service like that is too far and few between.

My family have been coming here at least 5 days for breakfast or lunch. Patty the waitress who jas been here 23 years. Always greets us with a warm smile and friendly home town charm. The food is always the best with you getting your moneys worth.

This restaurant is uhhhhh quite possibly the very best in the Western New Jersey region. I feel so close to home when I eat here. Highly recommended for all reasons, you understand. Liked: Food, Service, Value, Portions

Fast, clean, very friendly service. My wife and I eat breakfast here every week. Always get an omelette. My wife loves their Apple cinnamon pancakes. Never disappointed with the food or service here!!!
