We were hesitant to try this place because of a review that mentioned poor service, small portions and high prices, but my husband and I were tired and hungry and didnt feel like dealing with tourist crowds on a weekend night in a sit down restaurant. We went to American deli thinking wed get take out. We were surprised to see eat in seating that turned out to be comfortable. The phone did not stop ringing the entire time we were there ( you couldnt hear the ring just the friendly employee answering) the employees were polite and courteous not angry as described in one review. Even though they were so busy the food came out in good timing, it was hot and delicious. I dont know why anyone would complain of tiny portions. I could barely eat half of what I ordered ( which was unexpectedly delicious and very fairly priced) just goes to show you not to be swayed by extreme negatives. Our experience was positive in every way. Ill certainly go back.

Ive found the customer service to be extremely poor and no longer will order from them. Usually its with whoever is taking the order and I feel as though Im an inconvenience every time Ive called. Frequently forget the drink when I order as well. 2 stars given strictly due to the food. Ive had some great food from there, but like I said the customer service sucks.

I was pleasantly surprised! The oyster po boy was excellent. Great bread and good sauce. The pizza was good, though Im not a fan of when they add the toppings to a cold pizza and then heat it. Stay away from the pepper shooters.they ate extremely oily.

We ordered a cheese steak stromboli...it was huge but when we cut into it the dough was not fully cooked...disappointed with that considering we spend $17.00 dollars on it...probably would never order a stromboli from them again.
