Great shrimp and garlic sauce but expensive to put It mildly. For example there is not point to getting the strip garlic entree because you get the same amount or less of shrimp in the meal/entree then in the appetizer which make the entree no point to order because you are paying alot more for it and its just rices and an OK small salad. Ive been to other Portuguese places and the one in Dunnellon gives you 2 to 3 times as much shrimp if not more no joke then this place does in its meal. This all being said the dish I had and food did have good flavor it was more the portion size and price that kill this place overall.

This used to be Great bbq, charcoal grilled meats, clean and now customer services at its worst. Untimely services and unfriendly. On the other hand, they have hidden charges if you dont pay cash, which be a turn away. Alot of discrimination and the BBQ has changed. A couple weeks ago it had a C rating by the county DOH. Again the new owners are not cooking anything near the original Portuguese BBQ. Am not coming back to this place.

New owners!!! Please dont insult the portuguese bbq because there is zilch portuguese ingredients there.The new owners best change their name to driest chicken.The sauce is whack,fries are soggy and the famous yellow rice is flavored like some mid eastern.I used to love coming there but never will again.burnt dry chicken,no thnxs. ..

Friendly place but the meat was over cooked ! Our bill came out to $25.00 but somehow we had to pay $35.00 ( $10 tax ) that was not explained in the bill and I only realized when we had already left... Id rather drive 30 min and go to Newark and get the authentic Portuguese BBQ for half of the price with no shady tax

Order over the phone and when I arrived I told the owner I was coming to pick up and he ignored me and kept packing other peoples food, I also ask another waiter and told her that my food was ready and u could see it and she ignored me as well, new come to this place if you dont want to wait and be ignored

Unexpected, Awesome surprise!!! We came upon this little restaurant by accident. We were on our way to "Outback Steakhouse" and decided July 4th .... BBQ. Food ... excellent, Service ... excellent. Portions ... excellent and price ... very reasonable. Thank you for a excellent afternoon.

Recently went to this place and I was going to give it 3 stars, but the meat is amazing here. The rice, eh, not such a huge fan. A bit over priced though, $16.50 for a combo of chicken, pork ribs, fries, and flavorless rice...mmmhh I dont know. 3.5 stars definitely.

Extremely fantastic place, filled with excellent food, and even better food. Honestly, I find myself coming back for not just the food, but for the atmosphere the staff provides! I would highly recommend anyone looking for some good food at a great price!

Food not as good as it use to be. Shrimp app is like little frozen shrimp you buy at Wal-Mart and much smaller portion. Also FILTHY DIRTY bugs everywhere. How did they get a satisfactory from board of health horrible i can only imagine the kitchen.

They over paid us for food it was suppose to be $18.00 and they made us pay $20.50 and You have to pay to Eat in the restaurant like $5.00 They didnt tell us they told us after we ate that it was in the Menu And its written very small

Best Portuguese Style BBQ hands down! The staff is amazing and really hospitable. I have other bbq places by me, but I think the 20 min ride is worth it. If you want to try something different tonight, then check this place out!

I ordered the tray of whole chicken with rice and a side which was plantain. The grilled chicken and rice was delicious but the plantain was too ripe and soggy. Overall though, I will definitely eat there again.
