Our party of three went to Dhoom for dinner using a Groupon, and a to see Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 movie afterwards. The meal was delectable, amazingly delicious and beautifully presented. We ordered 2 appetizers, 6 entrees (3 to go), 4 naans, 3 rice and a few drinks. The waiters (Jennifer, Sandeep and Keshok) were very nice and amiable. Vivek, the manager came to our table to introduce himself, he was cordial and greeted us warmly. I would have given Dhoom 5 out of 5 if it wasnt for a Groupon issue. The Groupon we purchased was for $190.00 worth of food with the following restrictions: "Must provide 21+ ID to receive alcoholic beverages. Reservation required. Limit 1 per person, may buy 1 additional as gift. Limit 1 per visit. Limit 1 per table. Valid only for option purchased. Dine in only. Not valid towards takeout." These restrictions are your basic boiler plate Groupon rules, and its fine by me. At the time, my friend (the one who purchased the Groupon) left the Groupon print out at home and he didnt have the app on his iPhone, so I decided to assist him in updating his iOS so the Groupon app could be downloaded & installed. Keshok came by our table and asked if we have a Groupon, I replied on the affirmative but that we will need a bit of time for the iPhone OS to updated and that as soon as its installed we will show the Groupon. Well, the problem occurred when we asked for the bill and presented our Groupon. Sandeep told us that we cannot use the Groupon, he gave a vague and indecipherable explanation, I told him that we needed to speak with the manager. Given, the manager, explained in detail that our Groupon has limitations and strict regulations, he said "The Groupon only covers 2 appetizers, 4 entrees and 2 desserts. Not the extra entrees, nor the naans, nor drinks." I showes Vivek the Groupon rules and I said to him: "You are mistaken. Theres no such restrictions/limitations on this Groupon, we purchased a Groupon for $190.00 worth of meals and drinks, with no restrictions." He insisted that we have to pay out of pocket the extra entrees, drinks, naans. I asked him to show me in the Groupon itself where it has those restrictions, well he couldnt. After back and forth arguing (I was already getting extremely upset, I do not like nor allow anyone to take advantage of me, my wife nor friends) he gave up, finally realizing that it doesnt exist. He let it go, we wanted the bill back so we can tip the great service that the waiters provided us, but he refused, he was upset as well. So, a huge RED FLAG WARNING! to those that are heading there with a Groupon. Make sure that you tell them right away that you have a Groupon with no limitations and before you order, make sure that you show them Groupons fine print. This fiasco spoiled our night, but afterwards we headed to see Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and my evening got much better.

Hi, This was my first time attending. Very lovely looking place. I liked the concept but it wasnt really what I expected. Wasnt very "loungey" at all. Its a restaurant. They have a small bar with multiple liquors but are not comfortable making anything outside of their cocktail menu. My friend asked for a rum runner or dark and stomy, but they could not make either despite having the ingredients. That to me wasnt a big deal though as I cam for dinner. Their Island punch is strong but nothing fancy...Just orange juice and rum top with some nutmeg. My soup had bits of basmati rice in it..which its not supposed to. I didnt complain as it wasnt a huge deal, but I can see someone easily being irritated by this. The meat was good, but pricey. Coming from Jackson Heights, Richmond Hill, and Jersey City, Ive had great Indian food for waayyyy less. I was there more so for the experience, but I probably wont be returning. I wish them all the best.

I been to this restaurant a year back and that time I was very happy with the service. May the server really did a good job. Because of my last great experience, I went to this place on 9/9 for dinner and I was very disappointed by the service, specially when I told server that I am going to use your groupon coupon i.e. pay $49 for $100 food. The server said sir there are some rules on it like you will get 1 appetizer, 2 entree with 1 roti and 2 cocktails. I asked him its not mentioned any where in Groupon and mostly merchandiser give brief description of their coupon if they have any such constraints. And this server said you need to check with Groupon.... I said really?? dump ass... Why the hell should I contact groupon guys? Its your job to provide details on their website. Someone should tell them how can you serve only 1 bread to 2-4 people If they want to use groupon coupon.

A+++. One of the best Indian restaurants I have ever been and I have been to many in the last 20+ years. Had lunch once and quickly became a regular customer. One of the best naans I ever tasted. The tandori chicken is soft and not too dry, which is a problem in many places, which overcook the chicken. The biryani is very tasty, and the dessert are all freshly made and out of this world. The best and the freshes indian dessert I ever had. Obviously they have an A+++ chef doing the cooking. The staff is very responsive. Plus the decor is modern and spacious (unlike some tiny places). Interestingly, one can see the tandori oven and the chef doing his thing over a glass window, which adds uniquiness to the place (the only Indian restaurant in this area which has this). I live in Union City and regular trips to Secaucus are well worth it for this great food.

Me and my wife are regulars here and we absolutely love the food here, so the review was pending from a long time now. This Bollywood themed restaurant is definitely one of my favorites. The menu has a wide range of options for both vegetarian and meat eaters. One time we went with friends, restaurant offered us Jain( vegetarians who dont eat garlic and onions) options for them as well. I love the food, it is well marinated and cooked with right amount of spices. Naans and other breads are great as well! The staff is very welcoming and service is top notch. Writing this review made me hungry again :P

First time it was the best place to eat even though its an expensive restaurant but quality food isnt cheap, second time worst than ever, I have ever eaten in any restaurant. More than 75% food went to garbage. Instead going to this restaurant, you better eat home. I had 2 nonveg and 2 veg veg was still ok to eat, but non veg was smelling like it was 2 days old. 2 veg, 2 non veg and 3 appetizer ( one piece each person out of 4) and the bill was $150 there was no drinks ordered. I guess u guys are smart enough.

Very unprofessional..... They say that they are open until 10:30 PM and I called at 9:50 PM for a delivery order and they said they cant do it. They suggested the pick up order and I agreed for pickup also but they came back and said they cant even do pickup. I dont understand why would you say that we are open until 10:30 pm and not take order from 9:40 itself. I wanted to talk to the manager and they put me on hold for 5 minutes......amazing... I never expected this from such a highly rated restaurant...
