Ive done their sit-in lunch buffet once, but Ive actually done take out for their non-veg platter a couple of times now since its a little cheaper. ($8.50 vs. the $9.99 before tax of the buffet). So with that in mind, Ill break down what I like about this place: -Indian food! -Their lunch platter usually has my favorites in it (i.e. chicken tandoori w/ chicken tikka marsala) and the obligatory NAAN. -the place is definitely closer for me to walk to from my home than Mausam, which is located a bit further up the road. And now, the bad: -service. Its okay at best, what with being such a small place. The only thing the server did for me was ask what beverage I wanted and remove plates. Nothing more or less. -Size. When I say small, I mean SMALL. Maybe enough to fit 20-25 people tops, with the buffet being most of what I can usually expect to get in a take out platter. Quality: Sitting in made for a different experience than taking out alright. While I was able to get refills on things I sampled, I only stopped at two plates as I felt the spiciness that I usually got with their take out was a little off that day. I also was a bit perturbed as the medium sized Poland Spring bottle that I got when I asked for water. I was already done with the bottle by the middle of my first plate, and was only so happy to run out and go to the Corner Store right next door to quench my thirst. And as much as Ive grown to love naan, I must say that having it served freshly was one of the few saving graces of my buffet experience; the naan I get with my take out platters is usually flat and rubbery by the time I get home and get into it. All in all, this place is okay, but for me it only seems feasible if I order the take out platter, and on days when I know my favorite Indian fare is being served.

Sept 2008 Positives: I almost didnt go here because I saw some other reviews on Google, but Im glad I did. The service was good, and the food was excellent. I travel quite often on business, and eat at a lot of places. Ive eaten Indian food in New York, Singapore, Boston, Raleigh, Orlando, etc, and this was the best Indian food Ive ever had. I ordered the Paneer Makhanwala medium spicy, along with some Paneer Kulcha on the side. It was absolutely delicious, and the portions were well sized. I had two sodas to drink, and the bill was around $20. Not cheap, but not outrageous for such a good meal. Negatives: The one thing to be aware of is its more of a family run restaurant, and not a fine dining establishment. For example if you order a bottled water, expect to receive a plastic bottle of water and no glass. At a fine dining establishment you would expect to receive a glass, along with a glass bottle of sparkling water, and it would be poured for you. This may be important if you are thinking of a business meeting, but if you are just looking for a great meal...this fits the bill.

Pretty solid small Indian restaurant with a tasty lunch buffet. Though a bit cramped inside when busy, the lunch buffet is very good with several good options. It isnt super extensive with mostly normal buffet offerings like chicken tikka and daal. Theyll bring you plenty of naan though. The food was very good with a fairly mild, but tasty spice level. I would have liked at least one spicier option, but understand its hard to do in a buffet.

Today i went to the restaurant for dinner. After the food they told me to pay $26.64 and i gave my credit card. Once i signed the credit card charge slip i got some doubt and i requested them to give the full receipt. As per the full receipt the total amount was only $24 when i questioned the reason for charging me more they were not giving a proper explanation. So be careful they seem to be indulging in malpractices.

My wife is pregnant and having a very hard pregnancy. She has to avoid many things like garlic, pepper, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. Despite all these restrictions, they were able to prepare something for her! It took two tries, and when I offered to pay for both attempts (since it was really our fault) they refused, citing that their goal was to make us happy. We enjoyed our lunch, and I was compelled to say good things.

If you like oil dipped biriyani, barely cooked rice, curries with food colour generously added, on top of it $1.5 for a simple fried papad which you think anyone would give for free with a 16USD biriyani - this is the place ! Roti/Nan was good but thats all. Finally the wash room...a huge let down...a small wash basin is placed between a huge UC and WC !! Will never go there again.

I just moved to NJ and found this restaurant close by...It is horrible Indian food and attitude is not just right of the waiting staff. I felt they are doing favor for serving me.Just idiotic location where it is so hard to find. If you go to rest room you will find staff shirts hanging right next to it. I will never go again. I hope this helps.

Food Ok. Was not impressed by their rice -which should be so simple to make. I have had much better garlic naan in other places. The samosas were not that great either. Its much cheaper and the atmosphere is much more cozy than of Masaum Indian Restaurant but the food is not as good. Tempted to give 2 stars but feeling generous

mmmmm constantly crave their Tikki Masala and Korma. Any dish here is to die for! They add just the right amount of spice in their dishes. The mild has a slight spice, medium is a bit more (on the edge for me who can barely handle spice) and I havent tried their hot. But they always ask your preference. Highly recommend!

Hate to comment..did take out order.. Was served stale food.. I wish I would have showed it to customers sitting inside.. Because the manager did not believe it nor she acknowledged it. Even worse she called back saying food was good.. What on earth would a customer come back with the food he ordered to eat..
