I like the location for this bar--it is prime for McCarter Theater goers, train riders, Princeton staff, and graduate students, not to mention the traffic it will get once the new arts complex is finished. The decor is laid back, reminds me of a pool hall. Ive been twice. At this point, I can say I like it, but I tend to like places tucked into unusual locales, and I remember when the space actually was a train depot so its fun to see the transformation. That being said, they need to reevaluate their food prices. The deviled eggs were good, but 3 small pieces for $6 is a bit much, and $15 for three tiny fish tacos is ridiculous. The place is fine for drinks, but I wont plan to go there just to eat again.

Came here for lunch. Menu is OK, set up for bar snacks and a handful of lunch items. Bar looks cool but if youre only interested in eating, go elsewhere. Though they do offer food, its just not their thing. Charcuterie board was a highlight but served with 4 little measly chips of bread; what are you supposed to do with all that liver pate? Just spoon it into your mouth?

Interesting menu, not boring. Vegetarian Nachos were hearty, Tempura Vegetables were very tasty, French Fries were crisp & not greasy, and the Salted Caramel Parfait was sooo good! I will go back again!

If it were 15% cheaper, Id be there all the time. Its beautiful, the food is good and the drinks are excellent, but I spent $66 on 3 cocktails and two small plates. That makes this an occasional place.

The Dinky is that place, where you chill out, where you see friends, where life goes. I love it. The one missing star is for food. Its not a five stars, but a great, solid, happy four.

Very good collection of beer and very friendly nature of the people here. Dont forget to ask anything "about food/drinks", they will be glad to educate and share the story behind it.

The staff are fast and friendly. Outdoor seating is nice if you can get past the crosswalk beeping.
