Im posting this as a public service, so no one else has this experience. I saw this restaurant on Tv and decided to check it out. So me and my son took a ride down to High Tides restaurant in Bensalem. The place looks nice and is located on the river. We ordered a couple apps. and split a burger. The food was good and the service was ok. We went early afternoon before any crowd. The place has a nice deck/ and deck bar. The inside seemed equally nice. I asked our server about reserving a table for after my sons graduation..she said no problem I asked about any other reservation that night because I wasnt sure about any other schools graduating. She assured me that that night was perfect because it was generally slow and no one else scheduled. My reservation was for inside at 6:30 pm. This should have been perfect. I wanted to have a nice celebration with my family. When we arrive they sat us in the main room which was hot , I asked if they could check the air, they didnt. ( not until another party showed up. I can only assume that because my party was smaller we didnt count. ( party of ten). They turned the air on after about an hour. We ordered appetizers and our waitress didnt take our dinner order for another hour. We also had a young child with us. When they finally brought the food, they brought the wrong meal for our young child and didnt bring my dinner or my aunts dinner. I need to mention that our server became quite rude asking if she wanted to order her meal to take home. They did however bring another round of drinks that no one asked for. I wouldnt want anyone else to have their event turn out this way. When we asked to speak with manager our server said they would not come over! While I was waiting to see the manager I looked over the bill, they charged me full s price for a virgin cocktail. I asked the waitress about this and she said this was the procedure. I said no! I showed her the menu. $ 6.00 for their specialty drinks. ( piñata colata ) she charged me 6.50 for no alcohol. Told me she has been a server for 17 years. Sorry no!!! My husband saw a man (when he was outside smoking) changing their special board. Increasing the prices as more people came in. All I wanted was nice time with my family. We were very patient and tried to be understanding but the management didnt seem to care. The business practices at this establishment are shady at best.

Cool location, but things are changing. My wife and I have been coming here since they opened. At that time, prices were good, service was learning, and food quality was at least an 8/10. Now we have a 2 year old, and have taken notice that their kids menu is obscenely expensive. What kind of place charges $10 for childrens spaghetti and meatballs, and doesnt even include a drink or desert?!? One that does not welcome customers with children, one would think. Ive also noticed quality is going down. All along, sandwiches were served with house made chips. Now, you get a bag of chips which are not even close to as good. Upgrade charges are high; $3 for fries. Last time there I ordered my favorite sandwich, the chicken parm. No longer using real chicken. Now it is very low quality chicken patties. Think McDonalds or 90% filler... Not much cheese, was served on a hamburger roll. I actually questioned it, and was told it was the same as always. I dont blame the waitress, she hasnt been there the whole time. Cook lied to her. Not the same chicken. I clearly remember them serving me real chicken in the past. My wife clearly remembers, too. All in all, this was a great place. As popularity has increased, so too have the prices in the form of actually going up drastically, or in quality going down drastically. Be careful High Tides. Greed does come back to bite you. I however, probably will not.

So a friend told me about this place and how good the food was so me and my buddies finally got a chance to go. First, the food was fantastic. Fair quality for price and offered many different options. View was nice and atmosphere was cool. The boat dock adds a different variable to the place and makes you feel like you in a summer environment. The best part of the whole experience was the service. Our waitress was funny, professional and well educated on the food. My friend was a chef and she was able to explain some sauce for the crab cake down to the ingredient. She also prompted us for the special of the night, which was bbq ribs, which were delicious, while I didnt hear the tables near us getting the same options from their servers. Also the care she took with the table was so that we didnt need to ask for a thing the whole time. Very personable young girl and do yourself a favor and if you ever end up here, ask for Kim. We will be back.

I do not mind waiting if the food and or service is good and this place has hit the nail right on the head. Its obvious the owner(s)s or at least the manager(s) have a handle on the pulse of this water side restaurant/bar. Service was impressively fast. The wait staff, servers and bus staff were buzzing all over this place, continually checking on us without being intrusive. Without missing a beat, a fork was dropped and there was a new place setting at the table before I could bend over to get it. The food was phenomenal not to mention the vast selection of both bar food and appetizers to full meals. With all the plates walking by in all directions, other patrons were quick to offer assistance on menu selections. Although this will sound like a complaint, it was easily overlooked. The music from the live band playing was a little on the loud side but understood for an outdoor bar. Great time and will be a place we visit more frequently.

Went there for Fathers Day, the place is really nice looking! Big deck out back and spacious interior. They had their patio doors open so its breezy along the creek. The music was great and the atmosphere was very laid back; reminded me of being down the shore. We liked the pizza, pork sandwich, burgers, mac and cheese app and bruschetta. The nachos were good (we ordered w/o whiz) but they should be put in the broiler for a minute or 2 before serving so the shredded cheese melts. They staff was friendly and attentive although they had a separate host for patio seating vs. indoors which I think causes confusion. They were out of a few things on the menu as well but being newly opened, I think those types of problems will be worked out as the place settles in to a routine. We will definitely be back this summer, it looks like a perfect Sunday-fun day spot.

Excellant food. As party of 5 we each had different meals. They were peiced accordibgly for what you got. The taste was perfect. The waiting by the kitchen entry was uncomfortably I standing and felt very misplaced. We had one child in party.Waitress put us at a table of 4. It was clearly way too crowded. An empty table for 6 sat no one the whole time we were there. A low table on the other side table for 8-10 sat empty for the whole time we were there except for 2 customers say at the end. The table we were at was so close to the table i was behind that i had no were to put my purse. . Please give kudos to the cook. He she or they are giving you your monies worth. The hostess ....forget it. She needs to take peoples needs into consideration. Thank you.
