Darren the owner was EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. I was flying in from another state to do all my wedding planning. We started communications via email which took him days to send the list and reply to. When we arrived for our cake tasting he was not there. After much discussion that he would be there to do everything his assistant (that was amazing) was very confused when we walked in. She quickly stepped to the plate and saved the day. The tasting with her went well, the cake was amazing and their previous cakes were beautiful. DEALING WITH THE OWNER/BAKER WAS A NIGHTMARE! We were waiting on our price to place our deposit, cancelled all other bakeries that we planned on visiting. Days went by and he never responded, we finally went in to his store because he was not returning any calls or emails and he said he didnt want to do our cake, when asked why he said he wasnt "comfortable doing it." After 2wèeks of constant communication a tasting, a sketch of our cake being done he cancelled on us the day before we were leaving completely screwing us on our wedding cake.

The cake studio has a great reputation which is why I decided to have them make my wedding cake. I spoke with Darren, the owner, on numerous occasions to talk through the design. The quote for the cake was $7k. Steep but thought it was worth it because of their ability to do beautiful and exceptional wedding cake designs. When I walked into the reception, which was at the Ashford estate, and saw the cake I was so disappointed. The cake wasnt pretty even in the slightest. Not at all what we discussed. When I talked to Darren about this he said there was a last minute decision to change it because they didnt like how it looked. He never offered any money back on the cake, only offered an apology. If I can figure out how to post a picture of the cake I will. It looked cheap and painfully average looking. Not what you would expect after spending $7k.

I had a very positive experience in July 2015. The cake was amazing in both appearance and taste. He delivered it to Atlantic City Country Club on time. I would highly recommend. The cake was a Tiffany blue shoe box with a sugar stiletto. Amazing!!!
