Not really sure what the difference between this and the one down Easton is besides the "espresso bar" nomenclature but the coffee was good. They accept the CUPS app and you get a free $5 promo if you use code 5k3p6 in the app. Not bad for a free cup of coffee! This place is much bigger then their counterparts down Easton but the one down Easton has a more homely feel and serves food whole this one only has some cookies. This seems more industrial. With the extra space you would think they would have more seating. The one down Easton did have two seat tables while this one didnt. So to bring a date here, itll require you to sit at one of the shared tables. Thats one of the downsides since they do have enough room for more space. The chairs kinda seemed small and uncomfortable, albeit they looked nice, but hurt my back. A suggestion might be that with the extra space, maybe have some leather sofas like other coffee shops. Another addition is they sell kombucha! I dont see many places that have that so thats a huge plus since they are open to serve new things such as kombucha and nitro brew! I spoke with the owner and he seems like a nice guy and hes really knowledgeable about the product he serves. The customer service seems fantastic. Try it out, you basically get a free cup of coffee if you download the CUPS app and use promo code 5k3p6. Cant beat free money!

I tried Hidden Grounds second location as a second chance of sorts. Although their coffee and espresso is good, their customer service is dependably bad, so bad that Ive avoided their establishment for over a year despite the fact that they are the only independent coffee show in NB. But today I woke up ready to give them a second chance. Walking into the shop, its beautiful and well lit. I walked up to the counter to order and saw the one barista was making pourovers for two men. I waited at the front. No hello, no glance, no acknowledgement of my existence. No problem, he was busy making coffee. So I wait. And wait. And finally he comes up to the counter! He says hello so I order because I am at the front of the line. He looks at me, like I am. It only the stupidest, bust also rudest person and says, excuse me but there are TWO people in front of you. My mouth agape, the two men he had been making coffee for still hadnt even paid! I left. I wont be coming back.

Hidden Grounds provides a stellar atmosphere that is conducive to cozy conversation and a well lit environment for reading. Their coffee is the best in New Brunswick, that is certain. The prices are fair for the average worker and the genuine aficionado. Their music is at a perfect volume and their staff works diligently. I would take anybody here for a cup. The downside of this shop is out of their control, i.e., the labyrinth passage to their restroom, which is tagged with poorly formed graffiti (which is shared with a burger joint + pizzeria), a forgivable condition. Overall, Hidden Grounds Espresso bar serves as a breath of fresh air for New Brunswicks budding arsenal of small businesses.

This is Hidden Grounds location near the train station. Its very different from their location further up Easton Ave - this location has a high ceiling and an industrial feel, and the clientele is much more work-focused. The staff is amazing and the espresso drinks are well-made. The pourovers are also made with care. They have tea and cold brew on tap. Pastry choices are evolving. Overall, these two locations are the best coffee options in New Brunswick.

Love hidden grounds. Ive been to their new place only a couple of times but the place looks stunning. I love simplistic design so this location is definitely different in style than the original. If you are ever in the neighborhood try one of their original soda drinks. The chai soda was really good. Too bad I moved work locations so not as convenient to stop by here. But its a must to stop every time I pass through New Brunswick. Keep it up guys!

Accessible location situated just outside the train station. Cozy and clean modern interior design. Has quickly become a local community stop, commuter coffee source, and conneseurs favorite as New Brunswicks first true roaster and seller. The owners story is public, local, inspiring, and relatable. The staff are genuine, skilled, passionate, and friendly. The coffee doesnt need talking up-- you wont be disappointed.

This place is ascetically pleasing, and the coffee was okay, however all the doughnuts I have ever tried have tasted stale... they were also sitting out in the open with bugs all over them. Definely not an ideal situation for the price payed. Along side this the seating is horrible. The metal seating is uncomfortable, but the worst part is there are only a handful of seats. 99% of the time theres nowhere to sit :/

There werent any other items to eat, but its a coffee place! Thats what is main attraction is and thats what i am rating! I will definitely go back. Saving to my favorites! Thank you.

Fantastic hidden coffee shop in New Brunswick. A great find for those who want a quiet, delicious cup of coffee away from the chain Glorias coffee. Great atmosphere and a place to get away to write the next great American novel or just listen to some chill music and enjoy a well made cappuccino.

The servers were nice, but they forgot about our orders, and we ended up waiting over 20 minutes to get our drinks; they gave us a free dessert to make up for the mistake. The drinks were pretty good. This place is a lot more open than the other hidden grounds down the street.

Such a cool atmosphere, amazing coffee (try the rose chai iced tea if you stop in this summer!) and they are dog friendly!! Its great to have a place to take the pooch while on a walk through town. Definitely a great place to try!

Ive been to both HG locations and I like this one more. Its much more spacious and relaxed. Also you can share a pot with a friend(s) so its cheaper too. Dont forget to check out the shows they have here every now and then.

Sub par if youre a coffee enthusiast. The barristas seemed clueless with general coffee terminology.
