My husband got the idea to take the family out for ice cream tonight, but with the constraints of giving the boys their bath and getting them to bed on time, we decided instead to go someplace we could get dinner AND ice cream. Gabriels Fountain fit that bill; its close to home and was on my list, has ice cream as well as food. We thought the vibe was super cute, and theres a patio that would be great to hang out and eat food or ice cream. The food options are really varied but we went with pretty low key, standard meals. The boys got mac and cheese, my husband got a Jazzed Up BLT with onion rings and I got a Chicken Portobella Wrap. Mine was really interesting, so tasty, and HUGE. I could only eat half and saved the other for tomorrows lunch. My husband enjoyed his sandwich (and didnt even offer a taste; guess it was THAT good!), saying the bacon was cooked just the way he likes it and the bread was tasty. We then ordered ice cream. The choices are extensive and different from anything youd find anywhere else. We got a sundae with Scarlet Knight (the Rutgers love extends far and wide), which is chocolate ice cream with cream cheese frosting and red velvet cake, and a banana flavor (forgetting the name and its not on their online menu) with brownie chunks. Our food was great, the place has a great atmosphere and is kid friendly!

Environment very family friendly, staff very friendly and attentative. The food was delicious and the ice cream wonderful! Our family if 5 tried corn bread, muddslide, watermelon mojito, fruity pebbles, and grasshopper flavors. Our favorite was the cornbread, it has a beautiful creamy corn flavor with a hint of smokiness and bits of corn cread and corn nibblets. The summer oasta was aslo fabulous! We will definitely be making the 1 hr drive to go back to this establishment again!

Our first time here and it was a wonderful experience! Great food, mellow ambiance, perfectly family friendly, and delicious food for the price point. Our server, Ray, was exceptionally knowledgeable , friendly and very patient with our many requests. I had the peach bisque and grilled watermelon salad. The bisque was so filling that I brought half of my salad home with me for a midnight snack! Will definitely return for the ice cream flavors alone!!

Weve been here on many occasions including special occasions (like for our family bridal and baby showers and birthdays) as well as for valentines day and just going there to eat together. its almost an hour away, so you can tell we like it since we take the time to go that far and are repeat customers. They are also very hospitable and the food is good too! Try their fajitas! And, for the woman in your life, the decor is romantic :)

Has a wonderful ambiance and incredibly cute. The staff is extremely helpful. It has several sections which makes the place feel very large and this includes: In upstairs, Outside, and sun room seating. Parking is slightly small but not too bad. The ice cream was delicious and there was a plethora of flavors. The pricing is like any homemade ice cream place but highly pleased with both ice cream and flavors.

Very sweet and welcoming environment. Its nice to have a server (especially a young man) that says "youre welcome." The tea (fresh) and sandwich were especially nice. The only reason that it isnt 5* is that I think the prices are a little steep, especially for the location. Average sandwich is $10, plus 2.50 for a beverage.

This place is overrated... You can wait 30 minutes just to get into the place! Not really worth the wait but over all the ice cream is good. Havent had any of the food - doesnt look like it is there main gig. Still would recommend that ice cream... unless the wait is 30 minutes :)

Amazing ice cream, and amazing service. We visited on Valentines day, and the staff were all extremely helpful. We sampled a few flavors, and eventually decided on the birthday cake and raspberry truffle. We will be back! (We were craving more of the birthday cake this morning)

This place was very nice. Great service, great food, the prices were fair, and we went in december and it was so cozy, but they have a nice patio we cant wait to come back and enjoy when things warm up. Nice place to go with family, friends, or a nice quiet date spot.

We love to sit outside in the sunshine to have lunch at this lovely venue with okay food. What really makes this venue is the ice cream. We often make trips with the children just for take-out ice cream.

This place is greay with very friendly staff. They have outdoor and indoor seating, all kinds of Americana food and ice cream/gelatos and an assortment of cones amd flavors. Place is very clean.
