Sadly, I have to give 1 star for a review- went with S.O. for Valentines day dinner. Both ordered Filet Mignon cooked medium and they came out ice cold in the middle. When we told the server, the server said, we will replace your meal & I will get you a little suprise. So, the manager was gracious enough to give us a gift certificate for meal for 2 , and said "sorry we ruined your valentines day dinner" so we waited another 45 min. for our new plates of food. (our server didnt even ask if we wanted anything else) During that 45 min, the server totally ignored us. didnt ask us if we needed anything -now heres the kicker- when we flagged the server down& asked where our (new) food was, she said- theres nothing coming out, it would have been out a long time ago. And that WE told her we did not want another dish and that we were leaving. WOW! Really? we were starving and never said ANYTHING about leaving! We sat there for 45 min thinking they would be bringing us out new dinners!!! There is an unfortunate thing happening there, and I am so very disappointed. I used to really like this place. Long story short- will be re- gifting this gift certificate. Made me feel really crappy inside to be treated so poorly.

Big food junkie and was very excited to eat here as we hear the food is good. However I have to disagree food, ambiance, and service much less than mediocre. As an appetizer we order the fondue for two which is listed as 14.50 for two and upon receiving it found it to be overwhelming. I could not taste anything but wine... and I like wine but this was cheap very bitter wine. We sent it back and ordered two other apps and continued with our dinner. The remainder of the food was mediocre as well and upon receiving the check found that not only did we get charged for the fondue but argued that it is actually 14.50 per person and the menu confuses everyone. Terrible terrible..... heinz is very cheap and I would not recommend this dining experience to anyone.

I have only been back to The Landing (formerly known as Pheasants Landing) once since the resturant changed its name, menu, chefs and owners. There hasnt been too many changes to the look of the establishment but the type of food has changed a lot. I wouldnt say the experience was amazing or under par but can say it wasnt what i was use too. Chef Andre who was the king of the kitchen back when it was Pheasants Landing never dissapointed and always went above and beyond to insure you had a great meal. I would recommend anyone who has been to the establishment years before to give it a try but feel the family feel to the place has left with the name as did the german cuisine.

Food was decent, a little on the pricey side. Service was HORRIBLE!! Our waitress took our order and did not check on us once. We had to flag down a bus girl to get refills on water. The waitress was more interested in talking to a couple she was familiar with. She came back with dessert menus, but by then we were too upset to get anything else. I was angry at my husband, he tipped her 15%. I felt she should have gotten 10% tops. If the owner reads this: we were there Dec 3rd around 6:30pm. Our waitress was an older woman, we were seated by the Christmas tree.

Great food! Disappointing service. However, the food never disappointed and here in Hillsborough pickings in decent restaurants are slim. I hope the new ownership doesnt change the menu but should change some of the servers. Im our case the server asked is we really want some bread??? With a very sceptical expression on her face which was disconnecting . When my 13 year old son ordered a burger she was laughing for whatever strange reason. Btw.. They make the best Wiener Schnitzel in NJ. Go for the food, not for first class service.

Food was ok. Summer toast was a good bruschetta. Hamburger was barely acceptable. Major issue was with the overly fast pace of the food delivery. Salad arrived when we were less than half done with the summer toast. The hamburgers arrived shortly afterwards when we had barely started our salads and still had not finished the toast. This made for an awkward meal and demonstrates poor kitchen management. The manager did not seem to care at all when we discussed it with him. I doubt we will return.

Ive lived in the area for a long time and just recently started going here. They have a new menu and are introducing a new tap house theme with craft beer. The squash with gnocchi was delicious and the burgers and wedge salad are always a safe bet. Seating isnt the best for small children, especially for events like Oktoberfest which is only outdoor seating, but the staff is very attentive and even seated and served us one day before they were officially opened.

In recent months our family has, unfortunately, needed to arrange two funeraI buffets. I cant say enough about our excellent experience here. The ease of booking was phenomenal, & perfect considering our emotional distress. We were very pleased with the quality and variety of the menu. The dining area was fabulous, & the tables set beautifully. We couldnt have found a nicer place to hold an after funeral gathering. I highly recommend it!

I enjoyed our dinner at The Landing. We ate outside and the ambiance was very nice. The ribeye was very average with above average accompaniments. A person in my party received an over cooked filet, but they were good about getting a new one right away. Still, we were all finished when that person received their new steak. For the price, not a must try but great on a nice night to eat outside.

There is no place like this in the area. The food is delicious and the atmosphere uniquely warm. The white table cloths and wood floors add to the casual elegance. If you would like a break from the noise of ceramic and glass this is it. My only concern is the great German beers that were there for years were gone when we last visited. Please bring them back !

The patio is nice and includes a bar. I usually go downstairs to the pub, which is hit or miss based on the music. At times it is both awful (in my opinion), and it is always far too loud for the size of the room -- conversation becomes impossible. Service is excellent, and the food is great for the price. Again though, theres no reason to damage eardrums.

We went for a special event-dinner buffet. Food was not bad. Terrible service though. Our water glasses were never refilled. The waitress never came back to check if we needed anything. When the bill comes, she adds 18% gratuity. for a buffet? for 2 people? i never came across anyplace that adds 18% gratuity for a dinner buffet for 2 people.

They treated our artistic son amazingly!!!! Can not rave more about the service. The food was also excellent. Filet Mignon perfect My first time sting Weinerschnitzel the Swiss kind with veal. not the sausage kind. Very very good. Will be back whenever in the area.

We are very frequent patrons of Pheasants Landing. We love it! We had dinner there last night and we were told that it is under new ownership. DONT CHANGE ANYTHING!! Please keep the same menu -- because its excellent. The service is great. Thank you!
