First time here and I was not impressed. Came on a Sunday night and there was not many people there. You would think we would have a nice no rush dinner? Nope from the minute we sat down the waiter was very on top of us. Which I did initially think wow what good attentive service. Until after we were served our meals and he never came back to see if we needed refills or anything. Then to only come back with a box once I assume he knew I was done. Never asked if we wanted anything else or dessert. Just came over with the check. My meal was even less to be desired. I got the turkey dinner with stuffing and mash potatoes. The stuffing if thats what you can even call it was nothing but GROSS! The taste and the look alone was more than less unappealing. My boyfriends meal looked very nice which was the taco salad. Though he said nothing really wowed him and it was made mediocre at best. Overall I wont be coming back here again.

Ive lived in green brook all my life and Ive been coming here since i was a kid the service is always great but what always ruins everything is the guy at the register. He is absolutely horrible and the rudest person I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. Not only is this guy super rude but he mumbles obscene insults under his breath when youre trying to pay. its such a problem to split a check here its not even worth it to come With friends. He even has the audacity to keep you waiting at the register and then when he finally gets there, because no one else knows how to use the register, he rudely rushes you as though youre wasting his time. He ruins the experience every time. Its a shame that hes one of the owners/mangers/or whatever he pretends to be the place would be better off without him.

The WORST, WORST, WORST Dinner in the world. I have been there twice my whole life and after this second time I will never ever go back. Me and a group of friends decided to have some dinner there today and not only was the waitress rude and not friendly but she also made fun of my friends accent. On top of that she had the odasity to charge us an 18% Gratuity charge. When I confronted the owner she was very rude and refused to split our check then threw a receipt at us and kicked us out. The owner was even worst than all the employees combined..... Over all? Terrible experience, terrible food, terrible customer service. Everyone there is miserable. PLEASE DONT EVER, EVER GO THERE. This is seriously the worst restaurant in the world.

Been coming to sunset diner for years and always good food. Well I will never go back there again. Service was not good and the food was horrible! Had the worst burger ever! It tasted like garbage. It was under cooked and had to spit it out! When went to pay the owner asked how was everything we said not good at all and explained how it was all she can do was say sorry. Not even compensate anything. Told her I will never be back again. Waitress came to table with her long hair down and bushed out. Not even cheerful. When asked for check it took her ten minutes to bring it. Just an horrible experience. Very pricy and not as much food.

Went in today wanting soup and salad. Waited to be seated by the ignorant man who saw me standing there and continued his conversation. I was seated and watched how everyone around me was taken care of. Am I got was the water from the bus boy. After sitting for 15 minutes 2 girls came in and were immediately attended too. Sat for 20 minutes said f it grabbed my bag and walked out. This diner has certainly went down hill. Will not be back

My Favorite Diner. My wife and I love this place. Its not just one thing, its everything: consistently tasty food and good prices, a variety of traditional menu entrées plus those with their unique modern twist, cleanliness and pleasant atmosphere, and helpful, friendly waitresses. You wouldnt believe how far we travel to eat there!

I have been to pretty much all the diner in this area but sunset diner is by far the best one. Service is good and prices are better then every other diner. They dont have too many food options though but enough for u to pick one out of the bunch. Atmosphere is decent little old school though. All in all I would give it 8 out of 10

Dont listen to the people who put a bad review....they are just doing it so they can feel like they r important....heres what u need to know....this diner has had same ownership for decades and been here growing and serving its more than over 80% repeat cliental....ao much for the drunk haters

The Food is good, and prices fair. Recently I havent very much appreciated the waiting staff, theyve lost some consistency. I however would not pass up this venue because of this deterrance as the staff during prime time are very attentive and friendly.

Have been here before and it was eh so decided to give it another chance. Food had literally no flavor and seasoning, the condiment packages they gave me were old. The mustard was stiff and brown. Will not be going back.

I go to the Sunset Diner pretty often because the food is consistently good. Portions are good, prices are reasonable, and the servers are always friendly and accurate with the order. Good atmosphere for a good meal.

Not a fan of this diner. The owners or managers... the guys that sit up at the front register are not friendly at all, pretty rude. The waitresses are nice and the food is OK. Its a typical diner outside of that.

Worst service ever. I walked in and the manager/owner did not even greet ma just grabed menus and put them on the table/girls playing with there hair than serving food and coffee. took 30 mintues to get my meal.

wow, a great, great diner! i love that you can order online and tell them about how long it will be before you will be there. a few times i was a bit early, and yet the order was ready. i love the place!

The waitresses are extremely RUDE!!!...I used to like going to that place, but not anymore!! They treat costumers literally as we were nothing!!!...food is not that bad, but the service is awful!

I love it at Sunset Diner..... fast service. Very friendly and polite servers.... the food is EVERYTHING.... MY favorite is either Shrimp Parmigiano or Chicken Parmigiano and famous Cesar Salad

I gave 2 of the stars because their 24 hours. I come here lait and recently Ive been getting a waitress that has less enthusiasm the a gold fish and it makes it hard for me to enjoy myself.

The service was great, but the food . The chilli, no flavor, too thick. The fries were good and hot. The burger ok, then it was the same chilli my boyfriend had.
