I have been going to Northfield Diner for decades! This IS mine and my wifes #1 place! The food is fresh, the people are wonderful, and I have never ever had a problem with the owner. He has always been a gentleman to me! His wife is a wonderful hostess and helps with anything we need! We even have our own booth there when it is not occupied! They treat us like family and we are VERY appreciative of the owners Marlin and Sal and all the Great servers there at Northfield Diner. Special Hellos to Miriam and Robert who wait on us the majority of the time! Thank you ALL!

I went in to the restaurant and ordered, as i was laughing with the waitress the owner looked throgh the swivel doors and got mad that i was talking to waitress and yelled at her and took my food and through it in the trash and told me to leave. I dont know if it was because i was the only African American in restaurant or this guy is just that way! I felt really bad this is still happening after 400 years!!! Please dont take this in the wrong way but im just venting to somebody. ..Now i know why the parking lot is mostly empty .

Went there for lunch place was empty except for 2 couples ordered food waited 35 minutes no food asked waitress what was going on owner came out of kitchen screaming cursing at us told us to get out if we didnt like it totally shocked everyone left wife of owner had no explanation shaking her head was a regular but not anymore place has been going down hill that was the final straw will never go back wouldnt recommend going there horrible experience still dont believe it terrible

No employees around when you walked through the door. Took 20 minutes to receive our mozzarella sticks appetizer and additional 20 minutes for our burgers to arrive. Mind you there were only two other tables in the whole place that were occupied, and the single seater already had his meal in front of him. I can wonder why this place wasnt jumpin for business if the service is like this on a consistent basis.. Mediocre at best.

The food isnt that great. There are alot of other places that are better. But the reason why I didnt give it a 1 star is because the stuff is super friendly and wants you to your experience so youre happy. Sadly the food doesnt meet up to par.

Staff was very unprofessional. The waiter and the hostess were openly discussing and complaining about a member of the kitchen staff in front of what little customers they had (a couple, a lone patron, and myself).

Breakfast was good I got a cheese omelet home fries and rye bread toast the home fries were hot but everything else cooled off the only thing good I didnt have to wait too long they came out in like 5 minutes

Our food took over an hour after we ordered it to get to the table. When we did get it , the food was cold and my friend found multiple hairs in his cream chipped beef.
