Having breakfast yet again at The Frenchtown Cafe. IHOP? Whats IHOP? After discovering this little diamond in the rough, I dont want breakfast anywhere else. The food is awesome, the staff, albeit young, are very attentive to the needs of the diners. Alex is the longest employee there, and she is a Sweetheart. Always checking to make sure everything is okay. While there is frequent turnover, its turnover due to the staff leaving to continue their college education. I commend them for that. I will recommend this cafe to anyone who asks for a good place for breakfast. On weekends, they are busy, so you may have to wait. But you give your name to the hostess, and I can tell you, I have never waited longer than 20 minutes. It was and his always worth the wait.

So I just got myself out of bed after being sick from food/salmonella poisoning for 4 days. It was after I consumed Frenchtown Cafe that I started to feel sick. Along with myself, I had my boyfriend, his sister and her boyfriend. They chose this cafe due to them being a "Gluten Free" Cafe and her boyfriend needs to be on a Gluten Free diet. Well there was cross contamination there because he also got sick shortly after eating. We both have missed days of not being at work and that is a portion of a paycheck we cannot get back. If I were the owner of this restaurant, id be embarrassed. I would not recommend this place even for coffee. I have been in absolute pain all this week and just getting used to stomach toast again. Customers Beware !

Not only does this place have excellent food, the service is just as good. I have a severe peanut / tree nut allergy and the owner Rosealla and waitress really went out of their way to make sure everything I ate was completely nut free. They even went as far as making sure I was aware that their toaster comes into contact with various types of breads, some which include nuts. That is something I never even thought about. The resaurant has a very nice feel like home atmosphere and you are treated as a person rather then just another customer.

This unassuming restaurant looks more like a diner than a cafe but dont let that fool you. Friendly service and great food make this one of the best places for a casual meal in the area. Be sure to check the board for specials. Theres always something interesting to be found. My only regret is that I live to far away to enjoy the Cafe on a regular basis like the locals!

Great place A local icon that defines Frenchtown. On weekends there are lines out the door with the owner Rosella gives out coffee as she thanks people for waiting. Inside is a fun atmosphere. The waitress are great because they are efficient, friendly, and genuinely look happy to be there. The menu is imaginative and the food is very good.

Love.Love.Love this place!!! Great food, family atmosphere and they name you feel at home!!! Peter, the manager is very professional and intuitive to customer needs. The staff is very helpful and friendly. You would be remiss if you didnt try it for breakfast, or lunch. A home run in every aspect.

Hearty and comfort! The best restaurant in the town! love the food and the staffs are always friendly, checking on your table every 3 mins so that everything is okay... only down side of this Restaurant is that you will have to wait a bit during weekends... but well worth to wait.

Wonderful, DE licious comfortable affordable. Old school town cafe, nostalgia no extra charge. But clean, efficient. Vegetarian options. The rare experience that exceeds expectations for a couple of dollars more than drive through. Five Stars

Best chicken sandwich in the world. Toasted sesame semolina roll, grilled chicken, sauteed artichoke hearts and spinach, provolone. Makes my mouth water just remembering it. My daughter also had an amazing salmon entree. Great place.

Tucked away in a cute small town in NJ, this place is ideal for a weekend brunch! Keep in mind that it is almost always crowded, even on weekdays. Would definitely recommend the honey fried chicken and blueberry pie
