We visited here a couple months ago- I would first like to start this review stating that my review may be biased based on how angry the service ended up making me - I lost my temper on the manager and did not leave pleased. That being said, I will try to be as honest as I can be. First things first, valet service for this location is sort of weird. Secondly, this restaurant is absolutely beautiful. It reminds me of an old smoking lounge and made me want to light up a cigar while relaxing in their comfortable chairs. Additionally, I think the table side drink making is a unique touch and was impressive, on the first drink. We ordered almost everything on the menu and I would give the food here 5 stars - everything was well seasoned and finely executed. The only knock would be food timing, but based on the rest of the service, I am not sure I can put that one on the kitchen. The service here though, was absolutely atrocious. We came here on a Saturday night and up until about 9pm, we were one of 2 tables in the entire place. I mentioned the drink service earlier being fun - as the night went on, it was lousy. Took a while to get refills and empty glasses were not cleared - this is critical when you have such a small table. As I had stated earlier, food timing was off for the last two-thirds of our meal - long gaps in delivery, items not coming out together and in some instances not at all I less we re-ordered. At the end, it took over 35 minutes to get our check and there were now 3 whole tables in the entire place. We were splitting our meal onto 2 cards in 2 different amounts - (I worked as a server for 10 years, this is quite simple to do). After another 20 minutes of waiting for the server to come back, he had done it incorrectly. I then asked him to fix the amounts - which then took another 25 minutes. In the meantime, I received a fraud alert from my bank, as the server had swiped my card 10 times to try to fix the mistake. Instead of coming back on the 2nd try and saying the card wasnt working, the server just stayed in the station leaving us waiting. I eventually had to call my bank, which took 15 minutes on hold, to let them know the charge is valid - not a great experience. Overall, food and ambiance is 5 stars and the service is 0. I will never come back to this place, but I think I just had bad luck.

Le Malt is a very unique and an appropriate place for a guy who enjoys the fine malts of the world. When I first walked into this lounge, I was suddenly transported to a lounge in Dubai or Vegas. The wall to wall spirit selection was just outstanding. Not to mention their huge selection of wines that my wife enjoyed looking at. I ordered a Dalmore 15 and my wife had the glass of red wine. The food menu they have is also very extensive. Ordered a little tapas and an entree each. The lounge is quite spacious and nice laid out. Probably the best decor I have seen in any lounge. The owners didnt spare a penny in order to make sure that Le Malt is a spot that their guests will remember. We truly felt welcomed by the GM. I believe his name was Richard. Check out this spot, you wont regret it.

Le Malt lounge is an exciting, beautiful and sexy new lounge in NJ. Truly unique and ahead of its time, Le Malt will not disappoint. I have been to Le Malt a number of times since it opened up and have been blown away each time. The level of detail and service can’t be found in the area. When you step into Le Malt you can easily forget that you are in the middle of suburban New Jersey. On par with the trendiest and hippest upscale Manhattan lounges, Le Malt is sure to make any outing truly memorable. Perfect for a quiet drink with friends or colleagues as well as those celebratory times of our lives. If you are looking for a truly unique experience you must visit Le Malt.

Ok, sure...Ill be the first woman to review Le Malt! Let me start off saying...I think Im in love. ;) The decor is sexy and sophisticated, and you can get lost for hours perusing the ASTOUNDING selection of brown spirits on the wall. I was beyond intrigued when I heard it described as "the bar without a bar" and when I visited Le Malt, I truly enjoyed the experience I had. Not going up to a bar to order a drink, no loud sounds of cocktail shakers or beer bottles clanking...this was the perfect ambiance. I also tried some of the tapas while I was there and was absolutely delighted with the taste and fun variety of dishes! Excellent time here. I highly recommend it. Cheers!

Visiting the Wine Chateau next door quite often, Le Malt next door is quite a treat. This concept that they have going there at Le Malt is exactly what Colonia needed, well, what every town needs. The spacious wall to wall Whiskey and Cognac displays, the vast selection of Red & White wines to choose from, all to pair with their beautiful tapas and entrees. The Kobe Beef sliders are my favorite there. Matter of fact, everything I have enjoyed from their huge food menu whenever I have visited with friends and family. Even if you dont go there to eat or drink, just take a look inside. You will be shocked to see such a beautiful hidden gem of New Jersey.

Wonderful service, delicious food, beautiful decor! Ive been there a few times now and most recently found theyve added entrees to the menu in addition to their wide selection of tapas. We tried the Kobe Strip Steak and the Sea bass--both were exceptional! We both wanted Scotch to end evening and couldnt decide on what to get off of their wall of spirits so we shared a flight. The server presented us with generous pours of 4 different single malts and explained them to us. It was a perfect night as always. Thank you Le Malt!

Le Malt was an amazing experience. Food was outstanding, perfect match to both the spirits and fine wine offered on the menu. The selection of spirits on the menu leaves nothing to be desired. The owners of Le Malt spared no expense in decor and have created a place that you will go to and want to become a regular at. Great bonus is if you enjoy a drink on the menu when you are done you can go right next door to Wine Chateau and purchase it. Cant wait to go back again.

Hidden Gem! Classy, sophisticated, & unique. Le Malt truly caught my eye. The location isnt in my backyard, but you can expect me taking the trip to visit time and time again. There is just something special with the ambiance here, modern decor with a vintage vibe. Nothing like kicking back and relaxing on a glass of wine in a classic leather sofa, listening to soft tunes, overlooking that GORGEOUS chandelier. To me, thats living! : ) Highly recommended experience.

"EXTRAORDINARY GEM" -We recently visited Le Malt, and would return every week if possible! We were beyond satisfied with our tapas and drinks... everything was absolutely amazing!! And, although we felt a bit under dressed, we were treated with elegance and class. The decor was grand, and the service was royal. The chef is a true artist! If you have yet to go... you are missing out on a truly unprecedented experience. -Le Malt is an extraordinary gem!!!
