Today (6/27/17) my wife said it was my day to pick up dinner for the two of us and my granddaughter Eden(aged 10) . Eden loves to come to our house and grill out. So, i wander into the Food Lion grocery looking at the meat selection - maybe burgers for dinner !! Wow was i lucky the service manager suggested Schweid and Sons 2.5 ounce steak burger sliders - pkg. of eight. They happen to be the very, very best burgers i have ever eaten. The three of us couldnt stop raving about our wonderful grilled ,fresh burgers. I read the package and Harry Schweid started fresh meats on the lower East side of N.Y. in the late 1800s. Then his son Sam took over with only fresh burgers. What a wonderful treat for us for dinner. No burger is that good! Thank you Schweid and Sons, and Food Lion. I will be back soon .

All the negative reviews here seem to be from truck drivers who have experienced slow load and delivery times. I came here to write a review on their products I find at my local Meijer here in metro-Detroit. The One Percenter and CAB Blend are the only two I can find and they are both good, but I prefer the OP over their CAB. One reason is that they use USDA PRIME in the OP and its the same price as any other S&S product on the shelf. Its about 9$ for four third pound burgers which is defintely premium priced, but they taste better than I can make so I love them. The wife and I like the third pound size as well. Cooking them doesnt shrink them too much like a skinny quarter pounder.

Dirty run down facility. When arrived you are not supposed to go inside, you should park along 16th street, check in by phone and waiting for their call. In my case it took 7 hours ( they had troubles with their meet grinders). Roads inside are narrow, crowded with parked cars. They have only 3 load docks, with narrow place to do backing to them. Potholes are everywhere, if someone else parked on the doors you will use part of unpaved ground while your do backing. Be careful with your tires. They loaded me for 3 hours, totally ruined my schedule.

I had 6 palets to pick up at 1pm. Called ahead at 10am and ask if load is ready they told me that it is. When I checked in at 12 the receiving guy told me that its not ready and will be in about an hour. Right now is 3:30 pm and product still not ready. This place is full of sh..

1pm appointment, arrived 2 hours early, called shipping at 2pm, was told I would be called shortly, yeah right. Now 330pm and still waiting. Would hate to see what would happen if I showed up late. Another example of how some shippers just do not care about appointments.

Rude employee at receiving, this place is super slow, appointments here dont mean nothing, my appointment was at 6 am. showed up at 5am, Im still waiting to get called to get a door. Such a waste of time.

Ive been coming here for a few loads and its always the same thing! The workers are horrible and they take hours to give you a door and once they do they take hours loading you!

if you are truck driver park on 16th then walk. it is a one way street to the dock. made a mistake and it took an hour to back my semi around the cars
