Id like to give it 0 stars but thats not an option. Walking into the place its a bit dirty and run down. Table arent wiped off and theres rice on the chairs. Started with an order and when it was ready and it came out, I said this is not a half of a chicken (which was what I ordered) and the rude and lackluster personality waitress said "Yes it is" and I said "No its only a thigh and leg, no breast no wing". Her only response was "Well thats all we have". So I take my "food" back to my table and begin to eat, what my girlfriend and I thought was going to be authentic Mexican food. The black beans they served up wouldve been tasteless but there was a little cheese on them and how someone can ruin rice?! I have no idea. The chicken was over seasoned with heavy handed salt and spices. The steak tacos were overpowered by the amount of pablano peppers that were used and the salsa for your food is so hot that it ruins your taste buds for anything else. I like hot but this was ridiculous. The only thing authentic in this place was possibly the chef and neither he nor the rude counter girl seemed happy to be there. This place has definitely seen the last of me. The only thing good there was the cold bottled water I had to drink in order to help me get rid of all the pain my mouth was feeling from the 10 pablano peppers they used for my 4 mini tacos. If you want decent tacos go to Chevys or just a quarter mile up the road is El Norte way better and they usually have a mariachi band there to entertain you.

I ordered 2 orders of tacos al pastor, an order for my husband and 1 for myself... they were pretty good.. a little small in size of tortilla and in quantity of meat, all in all they were good. BUT!!!!!! And thats a big but, the cashier who was wearing black framed glasses was very rude, grouchy and had an attitude from when i walked in to when i walked out. They close at 10 pm but i arrived at 9:15pm she was sweeping at the front door i asked if they were open and she said yea only takeout. So as i walked in she jumps at me saying shes sweeping so i step over the door mat as to not step on what she has swept up. I guess she wanted me to wait outside until she was done??IDK..then I asked about a certain item she responded with..what is up on the menu is what we have..in an irritated manner..i hope they dont lose customers because of her attitude the tacos are pretty good though..not a good first impression with a first time customer

Well I came in to the establishment. I ask for tacos being that is Tuesday. Well I was charge full price for the tacos I order after I ask why I got charge full price for the tacos they explain tacos Tuesday is only for one specific taco which the sign doesnt tell you. The beautiful cashier had the customer service of a zombie. Well next time Im in the mood for taco Tuesday I will make my ways to chevy in Clifton they have excellent taco Tuesday and customer service . Not to sound bitter over my overcharge the tacos were actually good The LOS GUERROS in E Rutherford is 90 percent better then this place I live in the area BUT they will never see me again

Im laughing at the "authentic" tacos comments... have you guys actually EVER had REAL authentic Mexican tacos or are you comparing it to On the Border or CHevys ?? and calling them "authentic" Lol. First time here, literally had to try hard to remember my gmail password just to leave a comment.. my shrimp "platter" was bland not one dash of salt or any spices for that matter just a couple of bland grilled shrimp with a whole bunch of cheese and onions with a side or corn tortillas, nothing special or authentic about it. So dissapointing. I gave 2 stars because the horchata was pretty good.

Authentic Mexican is a matter of perspective. This company originated in Mexico. It has a large menu and not every item is amazing. They do have daily specials for $5. Those are a good value. Far more authentic that Chipotle or Taco Bell.. far less amazing than the food of great Mexican chefs like Josefina Santa Cruz. They also make Al Pastor which is a Mexican invention... spit roasted pork. Since many places dont do this style, theirs is better than most. Its what I have when Im there. Getting $5 tacos Al Pastor on Wednesdays is highly recommended.

The location this place opened up in was plagued with a number of failing businesses that tried to establish themselves. For the longest time, it was an abandoned building. Once I saw that this "authentic Mexican cuisine" place opened up, I had to give it a try; especially since I lived 2 streets away from this place. They have just recently opened up, so theyre still getting settled in. Hopefully, itll be bustling with better atmosphere and service for those who arent too happy about that.

Stopped there for the first time on May 3rd. The food was good but the service was terrible. The girl taking our order had an attitude, like we were bothering her. We asked a couple of questions and she just pointed to the menu and said the answer was up there. She even had the nerve to look for a tip for just taking our order...and being rude. The experience was very uncomfortable. Maybe another location by dont go to Saddle Brook!

Food was decent but the lady cashier was horrible. While we were trying to decide what to get, she put her hand on her waist, made a face and did every possible gesture to show that she was inconvenienced. When we asked for sauce, she said flatly that they are close. I told her thats no way to treat a paying customer but she remained indifferent. We are definitely not coming back and most definitely not recommending the place.

0 Stars! I am only putting a star because I have to!! I ordered lunch from here to pick up...went to pick it up and half hour after it was ordered...it still wasnt ready or going to be ready for another 20 minutes...asked for it to be delivered since I was on my lunch break...they CHARGED me a delivery fee...after driving there in the pouring rain to get my lunch to not be ready! HORRIBLE will NEVER order or go here again!!!

Me gustan mucho los tacos de taqueria los gueros en especial de la locación de newark y passaic pero hoy dia pasamos a esta dirección y la verdad que la chica que atiende tiene una actitud tan cara de caca que no dan ganas de regresar y los ultimos tacos que pedi la carne olía tan podrida jamas regresaría a esta localidad ojalá cambien su actitud o que corran a está prepotente chica si no perderán clientela tomenlo en cuenta.

Awful experience!!! Terrible service! First time I go, they make me wait for 30 minutes for an order of steak tacos and cheese flautas, when I get home and open my food they gave me chiken tacos and chiken flautas, no taste and cold!!! Never again, it only takes one time to know how deceitful they are, I call to complaint and the lady said "I did not take your order!!! Go at your own risk!!!! My rating here is below 000!
