HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE !!!! They have a bunch of beautiful cakes in the window so you think that your cake will be just as beautiful. Not the case at all !!!! I gave them a exact picture of the beautiful wedding cake that I ordered. They said yes we can do this cake. I said I want it to be an exact replica of the picture I gave them. They assured me it would look exactly the same. The cake I ordered was gorgeous the one I got was ugly and thrown together. It looked nothing like the beautiful cake I ordered. I was truly upset but I pulled it together. Thank god I did not let it ruin my wedding day but it easily could have because it was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT !!!!! It also did not taste as good as the cake they gave me at the test tasting. That cake was moist and delicious the cake I got was dry and bland !!!! I think even given them one star is being to nice. Do yourself a favor a go some place else !!!!!

My wedding cake was made by Cameo Cakes, Belmar. September 26th, 2010. They were given an exact picture of what I wanted and specific instructions on filling and decorations. To begin with the cake looked NOTHING like the picture. The cake looked like a big blob of mess. It was lopsided. There did not seem to be an differentiation between the three tiers of cake. I asked for fresh strawberries and whipped cream, i specifically did not want any of that typical disgusting strawberry jelly filling, but what did I get? typical strawberry jelly filling with a few fresh strawberries mixed in. I myself have owned 2 bakeries in the past and have never seen a wedding cake that looked this bad. It looked as if it was made by an amateur and didnt taste much better. Very very bad, go elsewhere!

This place is great! The negative review sounds like a bridezilla to me... Ive always been treated with big smiles and received unbelievably excellent tasty treats whenever Ive visited this bakery. They also provided a wedding cake for my big day and it was absolutely beautiful!!! Delicious fresh strawberries, and a wonderful design. I created an account to review this bakery because I could not believe the negativity I read about my favorite bakery! I often pick up goodie boxes for my customers and have received numerous compliments about how yummy the deserts are from here. Dont even think about it, just go! Best bakery ever!

Feb. 27, 2011 I have been going to CAMEO for years. Joyces cakes are wonderful. She always goes 150% to please. She made my neices shower and wedding cakes, the wedding cake was red velvet with cream cheese icing and tasted as great as it looked. Most recently Joyce made a sandcastle wedding cake for my daughter which was spectacular. Our guests are still talking about it. You wont find a better carrot cake anywhere. I am picking up another custom cake for a shower on March 5th and I cant wait to hear the rave reviews!!! Nanno, Bay Head, NJ .

The cookies that were made for my shower were poorly done. Very sloppy and not what I had ordered. When I expressed my opinion they were not accommodating at all would not even discount the cookies after paying a decent amount for them. If I had known they were going to be that poorly done I would have spent 50 cents more and went to a better place. When I showed my friends they laughed thats how bad they were. I could have done a better job making them myself and they werent very appetizing either and my guests would agree.

Our wedding cake was not only beautifully decorated exactly how we envisioned it, but also it tasted delicious! I rarely like wedding cake, but the red velvet cake Joyce made for us was moist and flavorful. The icing was a little too sweet, but compared to others, it was still the best wedding cake by far (and not just because it was my wedding). The price was also very reasonable compared to other places we explored. I highly recommend placing your wedding cake order at Cameo Cakes.

I had the best experience at Cameo Cakes! Joyce, the owner, is receptive and a pleasure to work with. Barb, her helper is a doll! The cake was out of this world! Took it to a baby shower in Northern NJ and everyone there was asking where I got it! White cake with cannoli filling and whipped cream! OUTSTANDING! Thank you Cameo Cakes for making my sister in laws baby shower an event to remember.
