I eagerly awaited Antoinette Boulangeries opening, intrigued by the fancy-sounding French name & the arrival of yet another bakery in Red Bank. Could it compete? The answer, it seems, is yes, given the reviews this place has garnered. its impressive,, Ill give it that - beautiful pastries, beautiful case display, beautifully maintained space... everything about it is just really beautiful. And yet. I was really put off by a few things: staffs general snobbery; their $5 credit card minimum; their very small selection of macarons (only two flavors!); & the fact that the mango macaron I bought turned my mouth BRIGHT BLUE. Do you know how mortifying it is to be an adult woman walking around town with a bright blue mouth & teeth? I didnt even realize it until, like, an hour later, when I tried on clothes at a shop around the corner & discovered that I looked like Id swallowed a Smurf. No wonder everyone Id spoken to in the last 60 minutes had looked at me like I was insane. To be fair, that mango macaron was delicious, but whyyyy was it blue?!?! Antoinette Boulangerie will appeal to a certain sort of customer, & I can imagine their pastries make for a lovely spread for a special event. That said, this place is just... trying too hard for me. I far prefer the casual charm & down-to-earth appeal (plus 12 macaron flavors!) at Lil Cutie Pops just down the street.

DONT ASK FOR A CUP OF WATER, BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT GIVE YOU ONE. I WAS GOING TO BUY SOMETHING BUT I NEEDED A DRINK OF WATER, I FELT LIKE I WAS GOING TO PASS OUT. I WAS TOLD THAT THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO give someone water? CLEARLY THE OWNER HAS SOME ISSUES, WHERE THAT 1 CUP LESS THAT THEY CAN MAKE A PROFIT ON. HOW ABOUT BEING HUMAN. THAT IS DISTASTEFUL GREED AT ITS WORST. I PRAY FOR YOU THAT SOMEDAY YOULL HAVE COMPASSION AND BE UNDERSTANDING. THAT IF SOMEONE THATS GOING TO BUY THERE EXPENSIVE TREATS, ONE CAN GET A CUP OF WATER. SO I HAD TO LEAVE. YES THEY HAVE GOOD STUFF. BUT SO DOES THE DEVIL.

Ive been going here almost once a week for over a year with my son. The staff are great and the pastries are the best in Red Bank (yes, better than Carlos). Only one thing prevents 5 stars: the owner is misérable. Usually she looks straight through me or over me and the only word shes ever said to me is "non" (when I asked for some tap water). How the staff stay so up-beat I dont know, but they do. You wont notice if you dont go there often. Overall Im happy that Red Bank has a place like this.

Service was mediocre, kinda on the edge of rude but I think it was just more not caring. Price was a little much but not crazy (normal for Red Bank). The table we sat at was not the cleanest. There is a tray on top of it, that when moved, had crumbs under it. The desert was good but I would not say worth it. (Im not real big on sweets though). In all I would say give it a shot of you are looking for a quick treat.

Such a sweet find in Red Bank--literally! I decided to indulge in this little pastry shop just the other day and it did not disappoint. What an adorable piece of Paris right here in NJ. The chocolate croissants, napoleons, and macarons are a must try...move over Scone Pony...this place is making its mark!

Rude owner! Dont go there with children. Owner hates kids. I was kicked out by owner and followed us to the street yelling and screaming just because my daughter was crying. Owner must be crazy! Awful experience!

Came here with my husband to grab a treat. They had a nice display of different types of pastries, the décor is very cute as well. Our server was friendly, I would definitely return.

Very good coffee (cappuccino, espresso, etc) and great dessert: croissants, small tarts and sophisticated mini cakes. Fresh and high quality, I would eat them all!

So glad to have a quality pastry shop near by. I would like to see more gluten free special order options and more experimental options. Keep up the good work.

This bakery offers beautiful and varied pastries and breads in the French mode. It is reasonably priced given the quality of its desserts.

The pastries are amazing here, and it is so much better than Carlos. I always buy deserts from here over any other place in Red Bank.
