Unfortunately, I would never recommend this diner to anyone not even to my worst enemy for that matter. I called the establishment while I was in Cherry Hill visiting with my elderly mother and ordered a turkey club on rye. It comes with a side of coleslaw pickle and fries because of her condition she can not have fries so I asked to substitute it for a baked potato. She told me she has ordered this before so I ordered it for her then went to pick it up. I asked the hostess at the counter if it came with a cup of soup, she told me no,,, which later I found out that it does, but anyway, I also asked for a menu, paid my bill and left. When I looked at the menu I saw that what I ordered was only 8.99. The Owner pretty much charged my mother 2.00 extra dollars and apparently feels its okay to justify what he did. Continuing on, so I called and spoke to the hostess at the time to see if they would credit my mothers debit card back, she told me she didnt understand why the owner charged me extra in the first place. I told her I would stop back in before I left for home and take care of the credit. When I got there the new hostess said, "Oh! you have to come back in the morning when the owner is here," I said I work in the morning and do not live close by. This new hostess was very rude to me, so I just left and called the next morning to let the owner know. He was also incredibly rude and refused to adjust her bill. This is now why someone like that deserves to have a derogatory review put out there against him and some of his staff. I had an opportunity to speak with others who have patronized this diner and said not to order any hot platters because it always comes out cold and when you ask to have it reheated, it still comes back cold. As a result of their poor customer service and out right meanness, This may just be the worst review possible.

Cannot believe Im doing this, but the service and attitude were that bad. It all started at breakfast with my wife, she ordered the pancakes and I the steak and eggs. I ordered the steak medium rare with scrambled eggs. The waitress while nice was not on the ball. asked for a coffee refill; no luck. asked for the sweeteners; got up to retrieve them off another table myself, but no big deal Ive been there before. it went wrong. real wrong when the meals came out. First the pancakes could be used as a Frisbee you could literally tap them with a fork and hear the strike like it was a thin sheet of wood, but most of the problem was with the steak. I again asked for medium rare, but when cutting into the end of it it was a nice shade of grey. So I split it in two thinking the middle was better; nope! it was devoid of all juices and grey all the way through. I very rarely send things back, but this time I had to. The waitress apologized looked at the meat and said "wait you ordered medium rare" I agreed and she took it back returning with just the eggs and potatoes. About 10 minutes went buy before she returned to ask if there was anything else we needed; I asked where my steak was. This is when she informed me the the chef said he had already made it medium rare and was not making another. I dumbfounded asked if the chef was blind, or just an idiot. She apologized and without saying anything rolled her eyes recognizing he was an issue. The meal was adjusted to two eggs and potatoes when I told this to management she said " well you got it refunded" and "ill tell the manager", really thats it.............. Needless to say this place looks nice but the service and employees suck. I hope they close soon so someone who can run a diner can reopen it. Stay away!

This used to be a good place to eat, but I think its time to stop eating there again. My dad and I had breakfast there this morning. We didnt wait long to order, or for the food to be served. Id rather the server didnt call me "sweetie," but she was nice and polite. We didnt get the good food we expected. My dads eggs and my pancakes were overdone. Then the people in the next booth started playing music for their kids. It was too loud and annoying. I was waiting for the server to come back so I could mention it. I didnt expect her to say anything to them, but I was hoping shed mention it to the manager. She did finally come back. She came ALMOST to the table, asked if everything was OK, and quickly walked away before I could answer. She didnt come back again until after the people playing the music left. She asked if Id like a box, then took her time bringing it. It was also too warm inside. I wouldnt go to an air-conditioned diner if I wanted to feel hot and sweaty while eating. Needless to say, I did not enjoy my breakfast. I wont be going back.

People once called me the Diner King because my precious companion Christine and i had visited over 600 old style diners. My visits to this diner have been very satisfying. The breakfast and lunch/dinner specials are priced surprisingly well. Nice portions. and again, i was surprised by the encouraging and family-hearted demeanor of our (now favorite) waitress Gwen. This place feels like a real diner, not overdone, not too upscale; ..JUST RIGHT. These days I go out of my way to get to the Gateway in Westville, Geets in Williamstown, and THIS place. Oh, and of course Angelos in Glassboro. The Cherry Hill Diner was once the Windsor Diner. The sweet potato fries are pretty swell. They always have tapioca pudding. that means a lot...and its on ALMOST A CIRCLE! I love South Jersey.

Service from the waitress was amazing great. Service from the restaurant was not. We ordered and multiple on the bill were added that we did not know were upcharges. A $20 meal turned into a $40+ before having the waitress keep running back to talk to the manager who refused to come out to talk to us about it. The waitress helped as much as possible and we were greatful for that. But if something comes up with your bill, do not expect the head managment... Including the owner to help or even see you for as little as 2 minutes. Used to come here all the time but it will be awhile before we come back due to management experience..

This place is a joke. Food came out cold for starters. Food was nothing special. The thing that really ticked me was an issue at the end. They charged me for a soup that was supposed to come with the meal. When I told the lady she made a big deal and called the manager over. He told me that I was wrong and that I must pay. This, was after the waitress pointed out the soup upon taking our order. After he finally agreed with me, he told the girl at the register to take care of it. She did completely the opposite and would not take is off the bill. The service today was unbelievably terrible and I will not be returning here.
