Below you read the e-mail I sent to the owner of this estalbishment. I assure you this was a real expeirence I had at this resturant! I am writing this letter in regards to my visit to The Farm, located in Dover, NH on Friday June 6, 2014 at approximately 6:00 PM. I unfortunately had a terrible experience while at your restaurant, which was a result of lack of professionalism from the manager you have in charge, Christine. I was visiting The Farm with my daughter and friend. We ordered dinner and also an order of nachos. When I ordered the nachos I requested to have chicken on the nachos instead of pulled pork and for the all the toppings (salsa, guacamole and sour cream) on the side. While sitting at my table I noticed an order of nachos delivered to the table sitting across from me. When the nachos were placed on the table I heard the waitress state “nachos with chicken” and she set the plate of nachos on the table. The two customers at that table began to eat the food given to them. A few minutes later Christine, the manager, delivered another order of nachos to the same table, at that time was when she realized the original order of nachos they received was in error. Christine then picked the chicken nachos up off the table and walked down the stairs, which was right next to the table I was sitting at. Approximately 30 seconds later, Christine walked back up the stairs with the same order of nachos she removed from the table across from me. When Christine placed the plate on my table I ask her if those where the same nachos she removed from the table across from me. Christine’s response was, “No, these are for a different table. They will have to wait for their order now.” Thankfully I was able to witness the managers lack of integrity by trying to pass off a plate of food that was eaten off of by other customers. This incident makes me question how many other times Christine has done this without hesitation to lie or be held accountable. A few moments later our waitress came to our table to ensure we received everything we needed/wanted. I informed the waitress what I saw happen with our order of nachos and informed her I do not want the nachos. Our waitress understood and confirmed that the nachos we received were the same nachos that came from the table across from us. When our waitress came back to give us our check I asked her if I could please speak with the manager. When Christine came to our table I informed her that I was highly displeased with her lying to my face as a paying customer and attempting to serve me, my daughter and friend the same plate of food that was eaten off of by another table. Christine showed no sense of remorse for her actions and did not give an apology. I have never been to an establishment where the manager was completely content with allowing customers to leave completely unsatisfied. I want to express my disgust in your establishment. I would often visit The Farm with friends, family and co-workers. I can assure you I will no longer be a patron to your establishment and my experience will not be left unspoken of. I would hope that you take this e-mail with the consideration it deserves. The overall experience was nothing short of terrible and disgusting.

We stopped for lunch today and sat at the bar. We were the only guests in the place so one would think that the service would have been great. The guy working at the bar seemed more concerned with texting on his phone and flirting with the one server that we saw. We asked for 2 Pumpkin heads with a sugar rim to find out he didnt have that on tap after he had already prepped the rims. (Shouldnt a bar tender know whats on tap?) Ok not a huge deal. We had to ask for menus, ordered our food which he completely screwed up. We ordered a pulled pork Quesadilla and we got a burrito. We had to ask for utensils and he never offered to comp our meal that was incorrect. Again, he was more interested in blaring the music and texting and flirting. Your usual bar tenders are great but this kid needs to go!

I went to the farm in the Dover location for the 1st time about a month ago. We got there, ordered and got our meal. My husband and I both thought our meals were "ok". As we were finishing up the waitress brought our checks without asking if we needed anything else. Rarely do we want dessert but tonight we did. So I asked if "we" could have a menu. She said we dont have a menu and let us know what 4 desserts that was offered. She left to give us a couple minutes, came back and took my order and was about to walk away without taking my husbands. We ordered and got our desserts. Shortly after she promptly brought us the check, again not asking if we we all set. Very rushed and very rude. It was definitely not a good first impression.

My first time there. Took 10 minutes at the bar to get a beer. I ordered a beer and a burger at the same time, had finished the beer before the burger got there. No condiments offered, no service while we ate at all. Empty beer glass at sitting at edge of bar. Finished the burger, finished a fish taco. No service. No beer. Bartender came over half way thru burger and asked if I wanted a refill, I said yes. Never got the beer refil or any service until 10 minutes after we finished eating. Food was good but the service was horrible. When we got bill I told the other bartender and she said sorry. Should have comped the first beer or done something to help keep a customer. We wont be going back or recommending it.

Outstanding! We just had our sons rehearsal dinner catered there and it was unbelievable. We had a private room upstairs that comfortably sat 25-30 people. The table settings with flowers were beautiful and it was clear that they had put in a lot of care arranging this. There was a lot of extra special touches. Above all else, the food was incredible! Everybody commented on how much they liked it and how good everything tasted. We had pulled pork, chicken tenders chicken wings, ribs, macaroni and cheese, salad, grilled veggies and our very favorite artichoke dip. I knew it would be nice but this exceeded all our expectations and I cant stress enough how delicious the food was, as always.

The Farm consistently delivers great food, whether its comfort food or light fare. The atmosphere is absolutely great - in the summer it takes on a "beach club" feel, with two bars and a large, open patio/deck....but in the winter it all gets closed off and feels like an intimate pub, with the interior decorating and fireplaces only adding to this. Their menu has something for everyone and they frequently rotate it out, putting fresh new items on every season. It can be a bit pricey, but is definitely worth the money in terms of quality and quantity. Highly recommended.
