My fiancée and I had been meaning to try this place for some time. Its right in the heart of Benson and has great reviews. We decided to place an order "to go" and we were really impressed! We lived in Seattle for years and became accustomed to really good Ramen. Ika does not disappoint! We ordered Oyako Don, Paitan Ramen, Fried Brussel Sprouts, Yakitori, and Pork Belly Sliders. Every item was delicious and the presentation was special. The Oyako Don was incredible, the combination of egg, chicken, perfectly made rice, and Ikas rich spicy mayo sauce was delectable. The broth in the Paitan was so creamy and rich without being over the top. Definitely get the Pork Belly Steam Buns and Brussel Sproutake if youre looking for sides. To top it off, the staff was really welcoming, professional, and attentive. IKA is now on our favorite place list, try it out, you wont be disappointed ☺

1st trip review I was amazed with the food and the service. They dont shortcut their dishes. The Tonkotsu broth was prepared authentically, not a quick or prepackaged knock off. Same for the gyoza, prepared in-house and excellent. I topped it off with some Sapporo and this place became an instant favorite for me. Already looking forward to going back. 2nd trip review The 2nd time was a completely different experience. It was an hour after opening and they were out of half of their menu items. It took almost 40 minutes to get our Ramen. The employees kept playing with the radio, they were skipping songs, and turning the volume from a whisper to blowing out my eardrums and back. Very disappointed this time, and I hope that when I give it another chance it is more like my first trip.

Had the Tonkotsu ramen here along with yakitori chicken and fried brussel sprouts. Tonkotsu was a good effort, it appeared to be authentically prepared based on the color and the texture yet it was far too unbalanced by the amount of salt added, I can only speculate as to why they would painstakingly create a marrow soup yet spoil it with excess salt? (to cover up a dilution perhaps?) The noodles were not matched to the broth varieties and were not made in house. The rest of the food was freshly prepared and delicious. Overall this was the best ramen I have had in Nebraska, yet does not compare to restaurants on the west coast or in Japan. A for effort.

I am taking my son and daughter-in-law to lunch here very soon : ) I discovered Ika Ramen last fall when coming up Maple from 72nd. on my bike. I was there just last week, and that evening I went and ordered more ramen : ) What a convenience to have ramen delivered to your door !! I cant stress enough that they do have sake, beer and hard liquor also. Everyone is hospitable, the food is cooked and served fast, and they have added a few new items to their menu. I love their tuna roll and the new uni ramen : )

I stumbled in here while on tour. I was looking for a place to grab dinner before the show and got way more than anticipated. This was some of the most dope Japanese food I have had in America. I ordered two of the rice bowls because they had some ingredients you dont usually see stateside. I was not disappointed. I watched the chef make each dish with care and drooled over the ramen I saw going to other tables. My only regret is I will have to wait for my next trip to Omaha to eat here again.

Meh, I was only moderately interested in this place. The food was okay, very limited in options, but the atmosphere was pretty unique and cool. It tastes a lot like the ramen I make at home, so I didnt feel like I got much bang for my buck, but it was still a good experience. The potsticker like appetizer is delicious, and so is the sweeter soy sauce. Parking is a pain.

Holy hell. Im not going to get my own water from your "water station". $45 is fine IF you bring me some water. Another five or ten minutes for the check, a "why whats up" when I asked for a comment card. I did just learn they lost their general manager, so that explains the poor service, but maybe give it a couple months for them to get it together.

A hidden gem in Omaha! This is some of the best ramen and donburi Ive ever had and the prices were great. Our waiter Chris was very nice and helpful. I got the Buta Kimchi Don rice bowl and the taste was excellent then for my ramen I got the Tonkotsu each dish had pork belly and soft boiled egg - very nice. We also had some Niguri sake that nice.

Shoyu ramen broth was way too sweet and way too salty. Too much soy sauce. It was inedible. On the plus side the grilled Tako was very good and the Niku Udon and chicken 3 ways were tasty. The service was good and fast and the waitress did give us 10% off for not liking the ramen. We might try again if we are ever in Benson in the future.

Er mer gerd! The FLAVOR! All of the flavor!!! We had a very good experience at Ika Ramen. The eggplant was wonderful. The ramen broth had the most amazing flavor. I got the vegetarian ramen and it was loaded with yummies. Really glad there is a Ramen place in Benson. We will be eating there often.

It ok for $8 a bowl plus $2 more if you want pork added. The waitresses was busy flirting with cooks and forgot to take our order and ended up taking someone elses order before ours. We ended up asking the cook to order. Also for a heads up its a smaller place so its hard to fit larger group.

Extremely salty compared to other ramen restaurants I have experienced. You can take full amount of daily sodium recommendation with only one serving of ramen (or more). Except that saltiness, soup and noodle were kinda nice. Ask server a hot cup of water and mix it if it is too salty.

This is my new favorite restaurant! The Benson Bomb is probably the most delicious it I have ever eaten. I am looking forward to trying even more of the menu. The ramen noodles were cooked just right and the broth was excellent. I had the Buta Kimchi Don which was amazing.

Im not a regular, but Ive been a few times. Usually pretty good and I line the place. This most recent visit was a little less exciting then usual because it was a busy Friday night and the broth was a bit salty. Im still a fan and well for sure be back.

This place is amazing. Thr Tonkotsu had such a complex, creamy and hearty flavor. The chefs are experienced, and the waiter I had was knowledgeable and friendly. Great music selection too. Wait time was a little long, but definitely worth it.

Love the atmosphere and staff. Laid-back style, but very helpful and attentive. When youre dining here, it does not feel like youre in Omaha. The ramen is delicious. I also love the donburi. The pork belly steam buns are a must!

Came in 22 minutes before closing time and wanted a to go order. Was told they are closed and that they couldnt make my order anyway because they were "out of noodles" even though there was a couple eating noodles at a table.
