Yahoo gives this place rave reviews, I think they have friends and family writing them. Personally, Im not impressed Their loaf of bread is good. My husband was looking forward to buying some of the awesome pastries he enjoyed on our trip to Italy a couple of years back and was sadly disappointed that they didnt sell those here. They have cookies and a variety of other things, but not the little pastries he would find in Rome. I wouldnt exactly call their service very friendly. The first few times I went in there, they were smiling and laughing when talking amongst themselves, but when they turned to help me, not very friendly or welcoming. On the contrary, they were very dry, never cracked a smile. I felt like I was bothering them. I have gone back a few times to try different things there, to see if theres something that just wows me, so far, Ill just stick to the loaf of bread. On the bright side, the last time I was there, the lady behind the counter did seem a bit more friendly and she did smile. Maybe they read the previous persons review and took it to heart.

I am writing this review and not my husband. I try giving companies the benefit of the doubt but after going to Rosciglione bakery for the third time my opinion was right the first time. This last time I bought 4 loaves of Italian bread and was told it was just baked. Got home, cut in the middle of a loaf and guess what? It was FROZEN!!! Also bought a caramel stolen and was told this too was fresh. LIAR. Hard as a rock. Dont even get me stated on the seed cookies. Dry, no taste and stuck to the roof of your mouth. I might as well taken the $45.00 and thrown it the river. What happened to the bakery that was downtown St. Louis years ago? Just a memory. So sad.

Im not sure what the others are talking about but rude service was not on my visit...........The best part of my visit was the wonderful younger lady behind the counter. She was very helpful and the knowledge of the product was wonderful. She must have a wonderful life at home because that smile sure showed it......I just only wish I could meet the guy that married her...........He must be the lukiest man alive to have all those looks and sweets too...........

They are GREAT! awesome family bakery! They are just down the street from where I live and I love that. The ladies there are sweet, helpful and kind! If you go in a few times youre "family" I have never had a bad experience there, and I go about once a month! I think the other poster is right, friends and family do say great things... And as I went from a stranger to a friend on my first visit I wanted to let others know that!

I go there not only because it is a tradition in our family, but because the baked goods are beyond compare. They have baked wedding and birthday cakes for our family for over 70 years. I pick up cannolis for any gatherings i go to and they have always been fresh. The same goes for their cookies and bread. They are family.

I had a sampling of cookies, that I brought home to my wife. The little Italian ones that look like tortellini were very good, although the "vanilla" one is more anise flavored (my wife did not like the black licorice flavor). I couldnt believe how inexpensive it was for such good cookies.

Been enjoying a pastry platter here at Ford dealership in Breese Il. given by one of our wholesalers.outstanding!!!! will be making a personal trip to St. Charles to experience what else they offer. Major thumbs up!
