I eat here all the time because I live within walking distance, the people who work here are good at their job, very seldom are the waiters not on task, and very very seldom is the food cold and nasty, this is a great buffet at a very reasonable price, lunch is when I usually go 11 or 12 is the best time, any time after 1 you shouldnt eat here until dinner because for some reason things get cold and they dont refill food treys that often. Their sushi is divine, a must have, and the actual food on the buffet ranges from Chinese of course and Italian which is good by the way, and southern cooking, my favorite is the bourbon chicken and crab Rangoon I suggest starting with those items first. Dinner service is only slightly more expensive because of more choices than lunch service, Ive only been a handful of times but from my experience everything is good but be ware crab legs go fast and they take a while to restock but worth the extra money though with all the extras not available for lunch, I think its 10 bucks where as lunch is 8 bucks. Last but not least is the grill part of the restaurant, big selection steak chicken shrimp, rice, noodles, broccoli, eggs to name a few things, different toppings like Ginger, teriyaki, and so on, and you can watch them cook it for you, entertaining. Also for those wondering about the bathrooms theyre clean and well taken care of. I hope I answered all of your questions, I truly fell in love with this place and hope you will also.

PARENTS OF YOUNGER CHILDREN BE CAREFUL WHAT YOUR KIDS EATING. Usually this is one of my favorite restaurants up until today. I purchased chicken and broccoli and when i got back to work to eat it the first bite i took had a chunk of plastic in it. This was sharp on both ends. so i decided to call and ask them to removed their current bowl of chicken and broccoli and replace it with a new one. The lady kept telling me i have to come in to order... after 3 minutes of telling her i already purchased my food and wanted to alert her there was a problem she told me she didnt understand. So patiently i asked to speak to someone who could understand me. I got to talk to a male manager that also couldnt understand their food had broken plastic pieces in it and needed to be replace, and without warning i got transferred to back to the original waitress, who said just come in and hung up on me.

My first time in Springfield, MO I wanted to try a buffet here. Well I got there around 9:13pm the staff looked at me in disbelief there was one more customer. The hostess said "you do realise we close in 30 mins right, is that OK?" I said is that OK with yall? Dang! How rude! The food was dried up an ready to be thrown out they never refreshed any of the food while I was there. I learned if I put my food in the wonton soup it heats it back up an revives it some.. So I ate. The sushi chef reaked of cigarettes so I did not get sushi. The food would have been half way decent if it wasnt dried out.. The waitress was mad I asked for a spoon sorry there wasnt one with the fork you gave me that was crumpled in a napkin. There was also a table being help up by a piece of dirty cardboard. Gross!! I give this place 2 stars

This restaurant should have NO stars!!! This place was shut down for health violations. Theyre still the same people, different name. Our daughter wanted crab legs for her birthday yesterday, so we decided to try out the new place. People were waiting to be seated when there was 20+ empty tables, just none of the servers cleaning them! Same problems as before, they only fill the crab legs every 30 MIN. so everyone is running up there practically fighting for them. (They only have them on F & Sa nights). The rest of the buffet had similar problems, no one was filling the food, AND this was during the dinner rush 5-7 pm. We had to ask for soup bowls, went up to buffet 15 min. later, still no soup bowls. We had to ask for them again, & it STILL took the buffet mgr another 1/2 hour to get them!

Absolutely the best buffet I have ever visited, period. The food was delicious, hot, presented well, and loads of options. You walk in, and expect it to be just an Asian buffet, but they have other options for those that arent keen on that cuisine such fries, pizza, fried chicken, bbq chicken, and so on. The dessert line is HUGE and too many to list. They also have a sushi buffet which I braved and it turned our pretty decent! I have had fresh sushi in Hawaii, California, and Florida, and this little place in Missouri knocked it out of the park. The staff was great! Everybody was happy, polite, and quick to offer suggestions or help. ***Note: Ignore the 5 gallon bucket with pink water dropping into it from the ceiling***

Since I live in West Springfield, I live in the residential area for this restaurant and receive coupons in the mail from them. Royal Grill Buffet is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the Sprinfield area. My family has been here a number of times, and have had awesome experiences. The food is so delicious and the Chinese, American, Seafood, and Mongolian variety is HUGE! I recommend coming when theyre busy so the food is almost always fresh. Its got me craving Chinese food like crazy throughout this year. The only complaint we have was one of the servers tried to take $20 out of my grandmas hand. Other then that, give this place a try.

People need to be aware of the sanitation issues here, while the selection of food is good and the price is fair, there are many problems with staff and cleanliness concerns. The things you dont see, like inside the kitchen area, or how the food is handled and prepared and much more. The name of this restaurant has been changed for about one year or so now, from Hibachi grill to Royal. The restaurant was finally closed down by the health department due to repeated sanitation and infestation. The only thing that has changed is the name. Im not being hateful, just honest. I can go into many details about this place but it would be only my opinion.

I thought everything was wonderful so Im not sure where the people who gave this place terrible reviews were eating. Its a buffet you get minimal service from staff..picking up dirty plates, bringing drinks not bringing out your food ffs. Sushi is expensive and time consuming to make. I have been to sushi buffets where you are charged per item for everything left on your plate. Stop complaining and take into consideration the time and skill it takes to offer this food to you and be grateful for the reasonable prices instead of whining. It cost 50.00 for 4 of us to eat dinner. Very reasonable considering we could all eat as much as we wanted.

We have eaten here a bunch!!!!! We have always been satisfied BUT today we watched a waitress pick up food with her hands that was dropped on the counter and put it back in the pan! Those counters have been wiped down with the same wet cloth over and over. Peoples nasty hands have rested there or what if that piece had been dropped on the floor and a customer picked it up and layed it there! It totally grossed us out! If they do that with people watching, what do they do when we are not watching!!!!
