We came to Ichiddo Ramen with no expectations or reservations. We live about a block away, and had been saying that we needed to visit and try their noodles for quite a while. The first observation we made upon entering was how clean and well put-together the interior was. The decor is very minimal, but pleasing, and made for a very pleasant and intimate meal. From the clean tables and arrangement, to the red vents, all the way to the immaculately clean bathrooms, the restaurant was very comfortable. We ordered several different varieties of ramen; Vegetable, Kimchi, and Char Siu (Chinese BBQ Pork). The food came quickly, and made a good impression upon arrival with very attractive presentation. Then we tried the food and wow... It is amazing! The broth was seasoned to perfection, the noodles were the right consistency, and all of the vegetables and ingredients were high-quality and well-prepared. I could not help but eat every last drop... The service was quick, staff were very polite and attentive, and I definitely felt like a welcomed guest. I would highly recommend Ichiddo Ramen to anyone who is looking for a unique Japanese-style meal experience along the University strip. We will be coming here again.

Overall it was a good experience. We went on a Monday night after 730pm. The waiter we had was friendly and served us in a timely manner. We asked a waitress for hot sauce and she said okay but never brought any out, but worked around us which I found odd. We finally got some when we asked our waiter. The food we ordered was a char sui pork belly bun, octopus dumplings, #19 beef Ramen, #20 pork Ramen and #30 char sui Donburi. The appetizers were good enough as starters and on the sweeter side. The Ramen broth was hot and great in flavor, noodles soft but chewy, but the meat was over seasoned. As you get to the bottom of the bowl it gets rather salty, so I couldnt finish my brother lIke I wanted too. The donburi was way too sweet for me and had an overpowering eel sauce taste mixed with their version of Japanese Mayo sauce. I would go back for the Ramen but not the donburi dish.

It was a meh experience when I went there two months ago. Took quite a long time just to get my char sui pork ramen. When I had it, it was lukewarm and the flavors felt flat. The noodles werent exactly what I imagined it would be, since I have had ramen before at Masu. So, they also left me unimpressed. Also, their menu chart/template is a copy/paste of images of other restaurants items all jumbled up to look like a passable menu. I wouldnt recommend eating here if you want an introductory experience of ramen. There are better ramen places around the twin cities and suburban areas if you know where to look. I recommend Masu Sushi and Robata at either 330 East Hennepin Ave or their MoA location, if you want a great experience. Otherwise, this spot is a go to for a cheap tasting ramen in a hurry.

Although this is a ramen shop, they have an extensive menu for small plates/appetizers. Among them is the Fried Chicken Steam Bun. The bun is soft, fluffy, and carries a slight sweet taste. The fried chicken is pounded thin with crispy panko crust. Wedged between the bun and chicken sits a house made sauce comprised of oyster sauce and Japanese mayonnaise. It has an outstanding texture when you bite into it; with the crunch of the chicken, savory sauce and delicately sweeten hand made soft bun. Ordered the Cha Siu Ramen. The broth is very creamy but slightly on the salty side. All the typical toppings like fish cake, bamboo shuts, seaweed and half of a soft boiled egg. The main feature Char Siu was a little disappointing because it is on the bland side.

We avoided the lunch hour rush and went around 2 p.m on a weekday. Not too many customers which made for an enjoyable experience. For appetizers, we ordered pan-fried gyoza and char siu bun which came out fast and were delicious! Per their name, their menu is primarily ramen with a good mix of staples like donburi. Ramen was excellent, service excellent! The reason why Im giving it 4-stars was because I noticed that the actual dishes the food was served on were dusty. Not bad dusty because you cant help that a space collects dust, but the dishes and bowls could have been wiped spotless/clean before serving.

This place is great! Im so excited theres a really good ramen place in St. Paul now! The service was excellent and the flavors were on point. I had the Char Siu Ramen. It came out looking like it was prepared for a professional food critic! Beautiful! The taste was outstanding! The true umami taste and the balance of sweet, salty, fresh and fermented left me totally satisfied. I absolutely recommend this place. I cant wait to go back.

Stopped in at noon on a Saturday. Didnt expect a Japanese greeter so that was cool. Mighta lucked out but surprisingly it wasnt busy. Ordered the Tokoyaki bun and roast pork Ramen. Didnt wait long and the food was great considering its not fancy expensive ramen. Very affordable. Presentation of the restaurant and crew was very nice and adds to the other unique businesses in that strip. Nice to have a place like this in this area.

This place was so good. We had excellent, fast service, and our food was piping hot. We got a couple of pork buns, the age tofu, one char siu ramen, and one beef ramen. The pork buns were incredible -- so craveable. The age tofu with bonito flakes was also really delicious. Both ramen were really tasty, with nice toasty flavors and nicely cooked meats. Well definitely be back.

4 for Minneapolis standards, 3 for San Francisco standards. The bamboo shoots are hard and the pork slices are seared so they have black burn marks on them. The soy based broth is pretty salty. This is more of an Asian Fusion environment since they have a good luck cat greeting you as you enter, they serve Kimchi, and have boba milk tea. Gyoza is really good.

Must get the ramen bowls. The broth is savory and the flavor is on point. Ive only had the ramen so I cant say anything about the rice bowls and stir fry. Overall the environment is great and service is fast (the hosts and waiters are friendly). There is not that much seating so if you do come when it is busy be ready for a wait.

Pros: -I liked the noodles in the ramen -Very fast to bring food -Not extremely expensive -Friendly staff Cons: -Waitress forgot our chopsticks -The ramen broth was missing a rich umami flavor typical of other ramen I have had -I did not get a water refill until my meal was over (which I did eat very fast to be fair)

Very delicious food all around. Nice and courteous staff. Short wait for food. Nice updated decor. I do warn tho, the restaurant has a strong "charbroiled cooking" smell. Aside from that, I will definitely be back for more!

Food is great, always enjoy ordering my ramen from here. Only problem I have is the Skewers still have yet to be seen in the whole entirety of the restaurant being here. Will change to 5 stars once the Skewers are in.

Not impressed! I ordered Beef Donburi in this restaurant. The beef is too salty, complain about it, but just gave me more rice. Is like eating salt and rice. Dont get this food. Otherwise the service is good.
