This was a perfect for the cold Chicago weather. This quaint ramen restaurant is snuggled in between two other restaurants that I couldnt pass up. I went in just as they opened and they greeted me in Japanese which is such a warm authentic feeling. The menu was simple but with a variety of ramen dishes. The waitress was friendly and helped me pick which flavor is the best seller. I decided to get the spicy pork ramen with pork belly. DELISH! The soup spoons were large, like mini a ladle, and what an experience using them. The broth was hot, spice of the broth was divine and smooth. The bowl didnt look big, but it sure was as I started to eat. I wasnt able to finish my bowl, but I am so glad I had the chance to step into this cute ramen place. I would definitely go back when Im in town!

Broth wasnt as satisfying as I expected. Ive had bowls of Ramen from other places out of state and this place was by far the most disappointing. We didnt receive our food in a timely manner. One of our party didnt receive their food until after the rest of our group had finished our bowls. Our waitress was rude and had comments like "someone else took your order, so I didnt mess it up". Not even offering to double check the confusion, we had to ask another waitress for help. Overall the uppity if the food and service was subpar and I do not recommend this place.

We are regulars at Misoya in Mount Prospect and it has always been fantastic. We decided to try the downtown Chicago location and it was extremely disappointing. My 8 year daughter said "it was terrible". The chicken karage was not fresh and krispy as in the mount prospect location, it was covered on corn starch dust and it tasted stale. The ramen soup was tasteless and the spoons provided were difficult to use as they are designed like large soup serving spoons. The ramen soup was missing green onions, corn and the bamboo shoots were soggy!

I really wanted to give this place a great rating. We are in town for a convention and when I saw this place I was really excited to try it out. The food is pretty good but the service sucked. The waitress seemed really annoyed with our questions and struggled to separate the bill into two checks. We were a party of three so we werent completely overwhelming I would assume. She just seemed overwhelmed, annoyed, and pissed off. I wont be back.

I love how I can get quality ramen before my night shift at the hospital nearby. I stopped on opening night right before my shift and the flavor didnt disappoint. Although, I did find it weird that whoever the old grandma was insisted I wear the napkin instead of have it in my hand. She literally put it on me and just me, not the other patrons that night. Whats up with that? But Im excited to have this ramen option so close to me.

This one was better than the Misoya in the suburbs. The wait was shorter (~20min) at 1:30 on saturday for 2 ppl. The food was immensly satisfying when its cold out. The takoyaki was great, hot, crispy and with a sweet sauce. My ramen with gold miso was savory, had fried shrimp and boiled egg. It was wonderful. My friend got the Tokyo ramen that was spicy and she emptied the bowl.

The Ramen Misoya in Mount Prospect probably ushered in the Ramen Renaissance in Chicago; its authenticity and popularity made it a natural to open a city location, but the menu here is abbreviated - perhaps to make choosing easier for the tourist neophytes in the area? Thats why sometimes a trek to the burbs is still worth it. Still, one of the top Ramen shop in the city.

My quest in Chicago is to find the best ramen place. So far this is one of best combination of chashu, noodles, and broth!! Chashu is soft enough that break apart easily but it doesnt melt in your mouth, noodles have good thickness and texture, broth is good and it was not too salty like most places. This is cheaper than many other places with lower quality of ramen too.

A very good option for ramen lovers. The places has a bunch of options to choose and they even have a vegetarian ramen option which other places dont always have. Staff is very friendly and we were surprised how punctual they are for opening (we got there at 4:40 pm and we realized they re opened until 5 pm, it was again opened at 4:59 pm.

People told me its the best ramen in Chicago. I am a big fan of ramen. Gotta say its good ramen in the states but merely good. It has the texture and flavor of ramen but no impression. If you miss ramen a lot, you can come and try. But if you are expecting a ramen as good as those in Japan, you need to lower your expectation.

Of the ramen shops in Chicago, Ramen Misoya is pretty legit. A strong broth acts as the right foundation, with the right type of noodles, soft boiled eggs that are done correctly, and an overall experience that takes care of your ramen craving. Its not the best in Chicago, but its also above average.

On Wednesday at 2 pm there was enough free tables, but there also was a waiting list on the door, so be ready to wait during the rush hour. The place looks authentic, so Ramen was great :) Prices for a ramen start from just $10. Im not a big fun of ramen, but the one here I liked.

Some of the best ramen around...right up there with Santouka, etc... this specific location has the friendliest staff. Super convenient location on the heart of downtown Chicago. Theyre not doing takoyaki yet, which is my favorite side but Im keep going back until theyll have it

Chicken Ramen spicy with an extra egg. Fn great! Currently #1 in my Chicago Ramen rankings. They were out of pork last time I went... so Ill have to stop back in to try it out. Could live without the octopus balls appetizer. I was surprised to hear it was a chain.

Food was great, but I was especially impressed with the friendly staff. My toddler was looking for distraction, and one of the women working there lent us a kaleidoscope to help keep him planted in his seat. It was a nice moment, a really happy memory.

Its a 2.5-star place. Overall, the noodles is ok, nothing special compared to other places. As gor service, well, this would depending on what is your color. We wont go in detail anymore than that, but a simple water refill could be a problem.

This place does a really good ramen. The menu is simple, and easy to follow, giving you the choice between gold or silver based ramen. You can also order some things a la carte. Prices were fair, and there is a counter for single diners.

What a disappointment. I had spicy tonkotsu ramen with additional cha-chu. The ingredients are not authentic. I find it strange to have so much cabbage in the ramen. Also, the soup is extremely salty. The cha-chu is also just mediocre.

Among the better ramen options in Chicago. Tonkotsu broth is super rich.. one could almost stand a chopstick in it upright. Char-shu is thin-sliced and grilled as opposed to thicket cuts of braised meat found in many other locations.
