I have been a loyal customer for years. I feel their food is good. I drove through tonight and arrived home without my egg-role that was supposed to come with the combo meal. I drove back with my receipt, requested the egg role and said I thought for my time and someones lack of attention to my order, I should get 3 crab ran-goon at no charge. The young arrogant man, who said he was the owner, refused my request and was rude and laughing when he closed the window when I said I was a weekly customer and would not be back again. I am going to investigate who the owner is and if it is that man, he is the dumbest business owner I have ever met. And if he is not the owner, the owner will soon know that he impostered himself to be the owner and is losing business. I see other reviews that say they would not correct their mistake and about the dark haired girl being rude and immature. That is the girl I had tonight. I would discourage anyone from doing business at this pathetic restaurant. I wouldnt even give them one star but I was forced to in order to click on post.

Springfield is known for its unique-style of Asian cuisine which I have enjoyed for many years growing up around here. Having returned to the area recently, Ive been searching for the best and "best-for-the-money" in town, and I may have found both with this restaurant. My first visit (at least recently) was last week and was through the drive-thru, so it might have just been a good night, but was exceptional. The service was hands-down, without question, the fastest Ive experienced at any Springfield Asian-style restaurant. That fact actually made me a bit nervous regarding food freshness, but my fear was soundly alleviated once I returned home and enjoyed their fair. The cashew chicken and beef lo mein were both fantastic. The egg rolls were large and very good, as was the crab rangoon (both "thick enough" and had plenty of filling). Prices were very reasonable, most would say cheap. All around, the best Ive "re-experienced" yet, even compared to much more expensive options for similar cuisine.

We have been to Hong Kong in now about seven or 10 times. We find the food to be consistent. Its fresh cooked so your breaded chicken dishes are always hot and crunchy and the sauce piping hot. My dad loves their chop Suey and the soup is exceptional. Their lunch specials are priced in the 4 to 5 dollar range for most items. Quantity size is good. The large orders are exceptionally large and represent a great value for the hungry ones. Having eaten Chinese in and around Springfield for about 20 years now I consider Hong Kong in to be at the top of the list. The only negative Ive ever had here is their lack of flexibility on the lunch menu and making variations. Asking to make a dish hot and spicy or general instead of cashew seems to be a big deal. But I suppose thats on me because the menu clearly says certain sauces and I was asking for a substitution.

When I ordered, the cashier mixed up my order. So when I tried to get them to fix it, we were 1/2 done eating by the time the cashier got a manager out to talk to us, so they said since we already started eating there was nothing they could do. The problem is, they brought us the food, we pointed out the error immediately, but apparently it was our fault the cashier made a mistake! I will definitely not be returning, after being a long time customer. It was a $2 mistake and they were going to make us pay for it. Its the principle!

So I dont know if it was just the person working but they completely did nothing right. I called and placed and order and the lady took down every thing said it would be ready in 10mins. I asked her what my bill was for the order and she told me she wouldnt know till I got there. Then when I did get there they hadnt even placed my order. Bad service and Triple Eights is better.

I love this place, eat there every time I visit Springfield. Been eating from these folks since 1990 back when they were in the plaza next to Cat and the Fiddle. This location and the one on west Battlefield are always very clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is always fresh. They have never done me wrong. Family run business, same folks cooking my food for years.

While its not the best Chinese food Ive had in town, its the fastest and among the cheapest. The cashew chicken is above average but they do potstickers and eggrolls really well. Eating inside the restaurant, though, I get the feeling they dont clean the tables very often. So for this place, I use the drive thru.

Its good food. Youll occasionally get some different flavors from time to time so that can be annoying when wanting something specific and expecting it to taste like the last time. Pricing is alright, they charge for some containers where other places give them for free.

Horrible watered down very small serving of general chaos chicken, of which was over priced. The cashier was rude, but I was to hungry to say no. I will not suggest this to others or return visit! I gave it 1 star just to get the opportunity to comment.

Horrible Hot and spicy chicken, bad sauce and tasteless chicken. It felt uncooked or they took a cold fried chicken and dipped and served in a hot and spicy sauce. At the end, felt guilty to have my kids eat this horrible food."Never going back"

I gave a 4 out of 5 rating because their food is great but customer service is lacking they dont give u any sauce unless u ask and when u do ask they only give u one packet of each and 1 packet of soy sauce is not enough for 3 meals/people

This is the only location/place to go for cashew chicken. The sunshine location of hong kong inn gets cashew chicken right everytime! the sauce consistency is better than anywhere else or any of there other locations! I love it!

Its relatively cheap, but coming from Dallas this is horrible food! The generals chicken was bland and its all just chicken strips that resemble Chicken Express with some bad sauce on it. Fried rice was plain and blah as well.

The food is great, served in good portions, and arrives on a nice looking plate. The staff is mediocre when it comes to customer service, and that can kinda be a drag on the entire visit. But the experience is overall nice.

I have been eating at Hong Kong inn since I was a fetus (my mom ate at the first one when she was pregnant.) It is not quite a good as it used to be, but no other Chinese place in town can compare. Excellent food.

This location needs updated, I only go through the drive thru because it looks dingy and dirty inside. Its not dirty or I would eat the food but the Kearney location is my favorite to visit.
