Im actually writing this review because I just ate at a different Chinese restaurant, and it was awful! I was craving Bao Bao after an exhausting climbing session at Zenith but they had just closed. So I stopped somewhere else near by. Bao Bao is so good that it has ruined all other Chinese food in Springfield for me!!! Every time I get Chinese food somewhere else in town I wish I had gone to Bao Bao instead. Im not even joking, Chinese places I use to like taste absolutely disgusting to me now. Bao Baos ingredients are so much fresher, and most dishes are available traditional style to get a more authentic experience (usually spicier, yummm). I love the hot pots, and other interesting dishes you cant get anywhere else like egg plant and pork. I even tried the BBQ pork belly once and it was surprisingly good. I probably eat at Bao Bao more than any other restaurant around, and it never gets old. I tell all my friends about it, I even took my girl friend there for our first dinner date. She loves it too now.

This is nice little restaurant, hidden away in the Chesterfield area. Chesterfield never really "took off" like everyone expected, but it has a cool "town inside of a town" feel. There are a few places there, worth visiting, and this is one of them. If you have not yet tried Bao Bao, you are definitely missing some of the best oriental food in the Springfield area. They have several options for the non-gluten foodie, as well as Springfield Cashew Chicken and one of those "authentic menus" for those who crave "real" oriental food. It is the ONE PLACE in town, we all can agree on - even my picky 16 year old. They have some dishes, such as their egg foo young, that I will only eat here - no one else can beat it. Check it out....you wont be sorry.

My family moved here almost a year ago and have been to about 10 different Chinese places. Not once have we been completely happy with our food. We actually discovered this place by accident and were amazingly happy we did! Not only is it very close to home but this place is fantastic. Extremely affordable, awesome food, and great portion sizes! Needless to say we have officially made this our go to take-out and lunch spot.

Best Chinese food in town, I highly recommend the Salt & Pepper Pork with a choice of steam or fried rice. The S&P is perfectly crispy and cooked FRESH! And if you dont like pork, theres an option of; squid, chicken, shrimp, fish and tofu. Theres a huge variety of authentic Chinese food in the menu which will leave you clueless on what to order. But get out of your comfort zone and try something new!

The absolute best Asian restaurant in the area. They have a Springfield menu for those who are tied to their favorites, but I highly recommend the Chefs Special section. Its a bit higher, but still very reasonable and...WOW! My favorite is the Yu-Shiang (sp?) Beef or Shrimp. The staff is wonderful and allowed me to sub something else for the broccoli. Lol. You wont be sorry! :-)

The service was horrible. I ask the waitress if my dish came with mushrooms so I could tell her if they could hold the mushrooms or just order a new dish...and she said no it had no mushrooms. Out comes the dish and it had mushrooms. The OWNER insisted that I pick out the mushrooms instead of taking care of her customer because of something her waitress told me wrong.

Im generally picky when it comes to Chinese food. For this reason, though weve lived in springfield for 5 months, we have yet to find a good Chinese place...until today. My wife and I ordered something different each and we both loved it. Great chicken (not soggy or hard) good sauce, standard white rice and crispy crab Rangoon. I think weve finally found our place.

I am an operations assistant for Tent Theatre on MSUs campus. Bao Bao was the first place my team went to ask for donations for our upcoming seasons silent auction. As soon as we walked in, the host was extremely helpful and the place smelled delicious! They gladly donated to our silent auction and we very much appreciate their support. Bao Bao is a great place.

Discovered this place by accident, and what a wonderful accident it was! Some of the best Chinese food youre going to find in the four-states, both authentic and "Springfield" style. Fast, friendly service, very clean, and food so freshly made you have to wait to take that first bite. I highly recommend giving them a try. You wont be disappointed!

Everything was just OK. We got Generals chicken and egg drop and hot & sour soups. Nothing was amazing or worth getting again. The people at the table beside us got traditional Chinese dishes, and those smelled really good; I wish I had tried something like that instead, though I still dont know how good it would have been.

I go here just about every Friday with mom and LOVE IT! You can get cashew chicken and sweet and sour everywhere but here they have a HUGE list of authentic Chinese meals. I have had about 20 of them and have about 30 more to go until I finish the list. Hands down one of my top 3 restaurants in all of Springfield.

I just moved to the area and found this Jewl in Chesterfield Village. Not only is the food fresh and delicious but the prices are great. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is great. I love the location which is in my neighborhood and enjoy taking a walk around the Village when I finish eating.

I used to live in Springfield and the cashew chicken is the best. I came back from Florida and we stopped in here for some cashew chicken. Some of the best Ive had. Very fresh and made like traditional Springfield cashew chicken and the crab Rangoon was fresh and creamy. And it was only $5

Hands down the best fast-food Chinese restaurant in town! I usually get their General Chicken (I love a bit of spice in my food :) ). We always have some of the best customer service there, too. They also have great prices and a great selection of authentic Chinese cuisine.

May be the best Chinese food in Springfield. The crab rangoon is top two in town and the service is amazing. The dining area is very small and cozy. Highly recommended and cant wait to go back.

This is probably one of the best gourmet Chinese restaurants in Springfield. They manage to make a lot of different dishes that all taste amazing yet remain affordable. Definitely worth a try!
