So the Owner is Bear who I spoke with at the end of the evening about being overcharged for drinks.. He suggestedthat" I trash him on Facebook" Well Bear I said I have no intention of "trashing you" or your establishment, HOWEVER I have the right to tell the truth! We arrived and its an interesting place in that the stage is on the other side of a creek so thats kind of cool. When the waitress came to take our order I asked how much a particular bottled hard cider was-she clearly stated $4 I repeated that amount and said yeah thats what Id like. After the rest of our party ordered she immediately asked if we wanted to start a tab! Someone else in our party spoke up and said yes. I had two of these $4 drinks and knew the prices she had quoted for the other drinks as well so when my husband came back from paying seemed alittle much. So I went to the waitress to inquire. She informed me that the drink she quoted me for $4 was in reality $4.50...She at no point in the evening prior to us paying informed us of her error or even made any attempt to apologize. In fact when I said" Well you quoted the price at $4" she rudely said "well you want your dollar back?" I said" Well you misquoted the price to me" She said "So do you want your dollar back?" Still NO apology whatsoever! I said"Yeah I guess so as I probably would ot have gotten two at that price for sure and maybe wouldnt have gotten any" She kind of madly handed the dollar back! So at the very end of the evening as I was leaving the Owner, Bear< nicely pulls me aside and asks if he can speak with me. At this point I dont know who he is but I say sure. He informs me he "never wants me to come back" That is how is starts our conversation and then proceeds to say his waitresses work hard and shouldnt have to deal with issues like this. I said"Well Im very sorry but I felt like I was overcharged because she quoted me the$4 price but charged me the $4.50 price" . He didnt care just said "yeah you should have thought of that earlier"! Like SOMEHOW I WAS IN THE WRONG! I asked him so youre not willing to give a patron another chance you simply dont want me to ever come back and he said "yeah we have nothing more to discuss" We at no time was rude to our waitress. We did overhear her apologizing all over herself to the people next to us for some other error she made! We feel like they didnt like that we caught them in charging different prices than what they quote and probably do it all the time as most people have probably had too much to drink and wouldnt know the difference! We at no time were rude to our waitress but we were done wrongly by being overcharged for drinks and then asked never to return! This is a VERY POOR BUSINESS practice Bear! I should have NEVER apologized to you as I had done NOTHING wrond YOUR waitress AS SOON as she realized her error should have come to us and pointed out that she made the error and we would have proabably said at that point oh no big deal...but even at that point if ANY patron said well you said it was $4 then you should only charge then $4 for whateer had already been served with the understanding that any in the furture would be at the $.50 price! I was in the right, your waitress or you are overcharging and I NEVER WANT to return to your establishmenet! I have gone 52 years without needing to go there so yeah I think NEVER being welcome is not gonna kill me But word of WARNING to others. DONT start a tab as you can and probably will get overcharged at Creek Side Bistro! And Bear it should not matter if its just a $1 as a good business owner you should not charge more than YOUR waitress quotes! SHE should know what the product she is selling costs!

As a venue, this is a really neat little place to watch some live music when they have someone playing. I highly recommend going on a night that Lyle Strickland is playing. The creek that runs along the back seems to keep the air cool on hot days and its a better venue out back by the creek anyway. As a bar, its pretty typical of Springfield. Although, this place does not take debit/credit cards. Although, I would be wary of using one here anyway after reading some other reviews of people being charged for drinks they didnt order and failing to fix the problem when being notified. So, bring cash. And, you might pay per drink to help keep it honest or just keep track of your running tab somehow. As a restaurant, Ive only eaten here once. The selection was very minimal, BUT I ordered a Tuna sandwich and my wife ordered a different sandwich. Chips came with both. The sandwiches were great sized and both were really good. So, no complaints from us. That said, I didnt mentally log this place as a restaurant to choose from when considering where to eat. Instead, if we find ourselves there again at a Lyle Strickland show, I wont hesitate to order a sandwich with my drinks if I havent eaten yet.

I give this place 5 negative stars! The owner is an absolute JERK! If you are not a regular and you dont want to be ripped off, dont go there!!!! They charged me for many drinks I didnt order, treated me like dirt and added extra money ($126.00 extra!!!!) to my tab...and I WILL BE GETTING IT BACK! When I called the owner about this he stated that he DID in fact add these charges to my bill and I should go ahead and take him to court, "hed win, just like he has the last 5 times". THAT should tell you SOMETHING! Why would 5 people have taken him to court over money??? FRAUD! AND my friends from work went in there a couple of days ago...similar thing happened to them! I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN and neither should YOU! Better Business Bureau will get my complaint too!

This is a very hole-in-the-wall "restaurant". There is less than 6 items on the menu. The turkey club was not a club. There was no bacon on the sandwich. Cheese is never on a club sandwich but yet it is here. The actual sandwich was overpriced. You could make a better sandwich at home. Chips were stale. Not much of a restaurant when your biggest entree is a sandwich. We were the only two people in the restaurant and still received terrible service. Do not make the awful mistake of going to this place. You will regret it. No televisions, no music (although there was a juke box), and it is very cold in the winter.

Horrible horrible horrible parking. I live in a surrounding neighborhood and just trying to drive down lone pine at night is horrible. Your customers park anywhere they want and treat the street as a parking lot and not a STREET. I shouldnt have stop for 5 minutes in the middle of the street for your customers to park or back out. Then you get cars like me piling up behind these people waiting to get through the mess to their actual destination. Very very angry person here who will never be taking my business to creek side.
