Had dinner with a friend at Pappos this week, my first time there. IT WAS HORRIBLE! I ordered a Calzone with prosciutto ham, red onions, and black olives. I was envisioning thinly sliced prosciutto, but NO! The hunks of gristly ham (I do not believe it was prosciutto!) were bigger than my little finger and extremely tough, and there were so many red onions that it made the Calzone a soupy mess. And it took forever to get our food, even though it was barely 5 oclock and the place wasnt busy. My friend had eaten there several times and liked it, but even her food was lousy. She had two appetizers, and the Mozzarella & Tomato Crustini was burnt and the Ravioli was hard and overcooked. Our server was nice and apologized for the "yucky food" (as I called it), but that doesnt make up for a bad meal. I did enjoy the Love Pinot Noir, but not enough to go back for a second try.

Went to the Battlefield location with 9 friends. Service was slow, waiter was more interested in talking with bar customers than refilling our drinks or asking if we were doing ok. All meals came to table at different times. Wifes and my order (2 sandwiches) were lost in kitchen. All the others in our party were almost done when ours came to the table. Due to this mistake, we were offered a order of free cookies. EVERYONE SAID FIRST AND LAST TIME HERE.

Yes! This is my kind of pizza. Crust was full and lightly crunchy, but at the same time moist and flavorful. Toppings and sauce tasted like they were freshly made. Called an order in 20 minutes before arriving, as I have 4 young kids, and they had my table ready and pizza out two minutes after arriving. They dont really have call ahead seating, but went out of the way to accommodate. Good pizza, good service, and the entire family loved the pizza!

The beer selection here is great, and the food is good, but the pizza by the slice doesnt start till late. Making it a little inconvenient. May be a good option for sobering up after a night on the town, but I personally dont drink enough for that to be an issue and I dont generally stay down town that late either. But if you are out and they are serving pizza grab a slice or two and enjoy it!

Definitely a unique pizzeria. I came in around the lunch hour and was seated immediately, and the employees were very polite. The tables and the rest of the restaurant was very clean and the atmosphere was really cool! The pizza was ready very quickly and tasted AMAZING! Almost the best pizza I had ever had. I will most definitely be stopping by here any time I go through Springfield.

Terrible service. My co workers and I walked in and he said we could seat ourselves. We sat down at the only table that was the most cleaned off. All the tables were dirty with dishes. We cleaned it off and waited 10 min until someone came to take our drink order and then we went ahead and ordered too. Never did anyone apologize for the wait or dirty table. Very disappointed.

My fiancé and I go to pappos in downtown Springfield at least once a month and it never disappoints. We are obsessed with the kitchen sink pizza, and recently tried their cheesy garlic bread- OMG to DIE for! The staff is wonderful and very knowledgeable on the menu options. Great craft beers too! Definitely a spot to check out if youre ever in the area and love good pizza. :)

We were in Springfield to do some shopping and wanted to stop for some lunch. We wanted something that wasnt a chain, so Google pointed us to downtown. What a great area, and great restaurant. Attentive, friendly waitstaff-but they dont hover. The food was amazing. We will be back

Great little Pizzeria! The pizza is great, many specialty choices on the menu of if you cant find one to your liking you can build your own. They recently installed a few taps and now offer a nice selection from a micro brewery out of St. Louis. The wit is delightful! :)

Took 30min to get drinks after we ordered and left alone at the table for an extra 10min. Food was good but tables need to be higher up or lower the booths. Nice place needs more workers our server was by her self getting tables and drinks hence the long wait.

Just got their basic pepperoni pizza and they did it nearly perfectly. The only downsides are the prices are at the higher end of the spectrum, and their wait times are long. The wait is understandable because they make everything to order.

It took forever for the waitress to take our order and we were the only ones in there. She had a bad attitude most of the time I was there, but she did make sure our drinks were filled . The food was okay.

The food is always reliably good. The only thing is the guys making pizza arent the best at keeping their hands out of their hair while making pizza. Dont watch them make your food and youll be fine.

One of the best pizzerias in Springfield, MO and located conveniently in central Springfield. I cant remember ever being dissatisfied, unless it was just that it was so busy I couldnt get in.

We thought the pizza was good, we ordered the New York style. Being from Indiana we dont get New York style often so we try it on vacation. Definitely not as good as NC we had last year.

Hit and miss. Have had good and bad. Consistently is an issue. Depends on who is cooking I guess. Servers have not been friendly. Act a little put out in response to any requests.

Pretty cool spot with good pizza. Attracts different ages, dates, families, couples and other groups. Great location. Loved the goat cheese, cranberry and walnut salad!
