Situation: I arrived at Farmers Gastropub on a Thursday evening with a group of ~25 people. The restaurant had been notified of our plans to attend days before. The Good: Food was good. Atmosphere was nice. Primary Problem: The real issue came when the checks arrived. There were many different checks to be paid in our group and the staff failed miserably at keeping track of this. Its not unusual to have a mix up in a group this big but this was a catastrophic failure. When the checks came the wait staff was very confused with who had what check. Only a few people got the correct check. Many had the completely wrong check, some were mostly correct but had charges for things they didnt order. For those who had the correct check they handed over their cards and waited for the receipt. Those that didnt were assured that "it would be fixed". --15 min later Waiter comes back with several checks and starts interrogating some people in our group in a way that insinuated that some were lying about what they had ordered, they werent. Example: Waiter: "Miss Is this what you had." Customer: "Yes. I just told you a minute ago that is what I had." Waiter: "I know but look at this and confirm again for me that this is what you had?" Customer: "Yes. For the third time this is what I had." Waiter: "Ok and youre sure?" --- 45 min later About half the group is waiting just to get their bill. Many are just waiting to get their cards and/or change back. Finally the staff come back with everything in order. When asked if they were interested in making any kind of offering for our troubles they declined stating, "I would if I could. Im sorry." The waiter then proceeded to have an attitude with several customers and gave threatening looks. Clearly giving the impression that he was put out by our business. This was absurd. I think many of us would have been satisfied with a discount or a free beer or any kind of small gesture and a kind apology. Instead I will not ever return and I will bet many of the ~25 people in our group wont return. Secondary Issue: When I first arrived I went to the bar because it seemed there was going to be quite a delay in getting orders in. I just wanted to order one beer and pay with cash. The bar tender eventually came to me, took my order and gave me my beer. I clearly had my cash in hand but the bar tender then had to mess with the POS system for 2-3 minutes before giving me a bill. This happened with every patron in line before me. When there are 4-5 people waiting and each one takes 2-3 min on the POS system...well you see the problem. Especially when people are paying with cash...what gives? To be clear this seemed to be an issue with the POS system and not with the bartender, the bartender seemed to be fairly quick at navigating the POS but he had to navigate through many screens just to bill me for my ONE beer paid in CASH. Third Issue: Even though our group had notified the restaurant in advance. It was clear upon our arrival that the staff were not expecting us. They appeared flustered, annoyed, and scrambled to get situated.

My boyfriend and I went to Farmers Gastropub for lunch and as soon as we walked in we noticed that the atmosphere was very warm and inviting. It had a rustic feel with a modern flair. The wait staff was very friendly and treated us as if we were their number one priority, but the jaw dropper was the food. I had the Farmers Cheddar Burger and it was nothing less than perfection. The patty was very moist, bursting with flavor and the house pickles and onions were to die for! I could have eaten my weight in those alone. In fact Chef Andy sent me home with a cup of my own. This goes to show that the Chef aims to please and take care of his customers. This was by far the best burger I have ever had and something that you have to try! My boyfriend had the Circle B Sandwich which was also very good. Everything was perfectly cooked and mouth watering. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend that you try this place for yourself.

I love this place. The food is top-notch. The space is casual and cozy. The servers (some of the best in town) are attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The fish and chips are fabulous. The chips are crispy and fluffy at the same time and the fish is crunchy, thick and buttery. Other favorites of mine include the mushroom and sage soup, the pan fried trout, the steak and chips and, my current favorite, the Peace Valley roasted chicken with butternut squash and creamed mushrooms. They also offer daily specials that are always delicious. The restaurant has a great selection of beers and wine, along with cocktails.

Had a great Fathers Day brunch with my wife and daughters. The two hosts were courteous, professional, and helpful, quickly adding our name to the wait list (10 minutes...not bad). Once we were seated the waiter was courteous, engaging, and professional. My wife wanted to make a substitution to her breakfast and he eagerly accommodated. The food came and was well-prepared. My scrambled eggs were PERFECTLY cooked, fluffy and moist. The gravy was tasty—seasoned well. Kudos to the chef! Kudos to the wait staff! We will definitely return!

What a find an amazing find!!!! These people make their own pickles, salad dressings, chutneys, aioli, mayo, scrumptious curry sauces, nan bread and more. You must ask for a sample. The chef and his wife, we had the opportunity to meet, are real foodies, fresh, and natural as to what is available and more importantly "passionate" about what they prepare for their customers. Plus they are animal friendly another big plus. This is a must try place to eat.

I have had Farmers multiple times. All of the times that I have dined at Farmers the food has been great. Tonight (02/15/2014) the food was by far the best that I have had. I had my normal Meatloaf, the dish was simply outstanding. The meatloaf independently was amazing however the beet sauce really paired together nicely with it. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place to have an up class meal for reasonable price.

This place is an awesome place to grab a unique bite to eat made at least partially with locally gathered ingredients. Especially if you order the daily specials. The atmosphere is distinctively European, kinda vintage ish European at that, and it is really cool. They have an outstanding selection of drinks and more american food if thats what youre after as well. If it werent for the limited seating, this could be perfect.

Reasonable portions of exceptional food, fantastic atmosphere, and second-to-none service. Everything I put in my mouth here made me feel like everyone else is doing it wrong. Burgers come with aioli, sauteed onions, white cheddar. Thats all it needs and its amazing. Triple fried potatoes are crisp but fluffy-tender with just enough salt. ALWAYS ask about the special. I had fried chicken with french toast. Untouchably good.

It was a Sunday night, with a couple didnt know well and friends. Asked waiter for lettuce wrap steak burger stating I was gluten free, he asked how I wanted it cooked which I said medium well. Whether it was waiter or chef error I dont know, I recd gluten free bun and well done. Other than not getting what I asked for, good atmosphere, people I was with seemed to enjoy theirs though one said small portions.
